Tank, you rule man! I enjoyed every minute of that!😊🙏 And all rest of you guys, thanks for all the great, kind and good vibe comments! More of exactly that in this world, that’s what we need! 😊😊🙌
So happy you're getting into Evergrey! They deserve all the love they can get. I played their Recreation Day album to death back when I was 15-16 years old. Then I kinda fell off the wagon for some reason, probably because I started listening to more rock than metal at that time. And then I pretty much rediscovered them when they released The Atlantic. Haven't looked back since. What I HAVE been doing since though is back tracking through what I have missed for about 13 years and play all of that to death as well. There isn't any other band that makes me feel all the emotions I do when listening to them than Nightwish. Except Evergrey. Tom's voice, Henrik's solos, Johan's bass tone, fuckin' hell, all of it. You have so many musical and emotional experiences to look forward to with them and I hope this channel will be the output for it!
This reaction reminds me about the first time I listened to In Flames in 2008. The album "A sense of purpose" had just been released and I listened to 'I'm the highway" in a website. After listened to this song I started to search for the old albums and today they are one of my favorite bands ever. Gothemburg never disappoints! Another great reaction, Tank!🤘🤘
Evergrey is one of the best bands in the world and so underrated...all songs are masterpieces...and your reaction channel is excellent, your knowledge of the instruments is awesome!
Evergrey is my favorite band for more then 15 years. And it's so heartwarming see you discovering them with tears on your eyes. I have same wonderful emotions for all years with this band. And more important that at finaly the world become to know Evergrey. Looking forward you listening more old stuff from guys!
Great video and the reaction. I discovered Evergrey late myself and wondered how I missed them. An admin of a FB page held a Watch party and played the song "Weightless". I was hooked. I have loved them ever since.
Evergrey has been a band that has given us great music for a very long time! I really love them, the vocalist is powerful and full of feeling. I really love them, and I have done so for tears. Thanks for giving them this reaction. They really deserve it. Maybe we can get more reactions from this band, they have a massive catalog!
Thanks Tank, you Rock brother! 🤘💀. Evergrey is my Favorite band, all areas of the band are on fire! I could put on any album from Evergrey and snap my head with Energy & Force! - btw..I dig the HeadBanging!..keep Rockin!
Tank! This one had me tearing up AND laughing together with you. I love that after many years, you can still get excited about new (metal) music, and your energy and positivity just made my day! So thanks again!
This was my first time hearing them. They kick ass. I’m adding them to my playlist. One of the only positives of this pandemic is that I’ve had more time to explore UA-cam. I discovered Nightwish, Epica, Unleash the Archers, Delain, Aryeon, now Evergrey and I’m sure I’m missing some but this music and these fun reaction channels have made the last year better for me. Thanks for what you do bro. I enjoy it. ✌🏻
Evergrey has been one of my favorite bands since 1998 when I first discovered them. They are only getting better. Cant wait to see them again. The last band I saw before the pandemic was Evergrey in feb 2020 and it might be the first band I see when the pandemic is over in the fall of 2021.
Yep, their music has been played on my Spotify 90% of my time ever since I discovered them. Never disappointed. Drum sound, guitar, keyboard, and seriously, the bass and the Tom’s vocal are just mind-blowing🔥🤘!
It's a win-win situation, you discovered Evergrey and we, their long time fans have discovered you 🤘 keep headbanging bro, you bring us lot of joy and sincere laughs. Greetings from Croatia
Been listening to Evergrey for 20 years and it pains me that they aren't more known and appreciated because they're so f'ng good. Tom can sing his ass off, especially live. Enjoyed seeing the emotional response because they trigger that in me on several tracks. Good stuff.
bruh you're reaction on this video is literally how I feel about this song. I have probably listened to this song like 30 times since they released it and honestly I never really listened to this band but I am so excited for the release of this album. Every single has been a banger! Great job on the video. I'm a new sub 🤘
I discovered them a year ago. I usually don’t listen to metal but the album The Atlantic just pulled me in to this whole new world and I was mesmerised, and still am. Love the new album!
I discovered Evergrey back in 2008. I can feel you man (when you realize where the hell have I been since they published their first album). First song I heard was Touch of blessing and my reaction was the same as yours in this video. Since then Evergrey in my number one band. Been lucky enough and caught them Live in Zagreb in 2019.
I have never heard of this band before right now, WOW THATS A GREAT SONG, LOVED IT!!! Learning so much new great Music through there reaction channels.
another great song, i discovered this pretty much the same way as you years ago, a friend recommended this, and i was like , how come i've never heard this before, well I've been hearing it ever since ☺️☺️☺️
Honestly I subscribed to your channel after I saw your first reaction of Evergrey. I am happy to see you so overwhelmed, like I was the first time I heard them. Keep exploring their music!
I remember reading that when Tom formed Evergrey, he only wanted to play guitar. He couldn't find a vocalist for the band. Family and friends talked him into singing as well.
I love to see how this song gives you exactly the same emotional reaction I got, when I heard it the first time. And YEAH, Evergrey catapulted themselves on my personal favorite bands list to the top. Since weeks perma-playlist ^^ keep up the good work Tank, you‘re honest and it‘s a joy watching your reactions 🤘🏼 p.s. tomorrow we can enjoy the whole album :)
I'm truly jealous of you mr Tank, who has the whole Evergrey journey ahead of you. If it was possible, I had paid a lot of money to go back in time and relive the moment when I heard my first Evergrey song - A touch of blessing (first song by Jonas behind the drum set!!!) for the first time. It was love at first sight and they are still delivering mega hit after hit ...
Hi Tank, love your insight into this video. I have been a fan of Evergrey since 2008 and first saw the video for their song "Broken Wings", I too was blown away by the heaviness juxtaposed by Tom's incredible singing. I have been fortunate enough to see them twice and they are just as good live, you will not be disappointed. Another great thing is they come out after the show and hang with the fans and are all very nice and personable guys. The last time I saw them, one of the opening bands wasn't really my cup of tea, so I went outside to get some air and Johan was out behind the club just relaxing and smoking his pipe, we had a very nice conversation for a half hour or so, he's a really great guy. I highly recommend checking out their entire catalog, in particular "Hymns For the Broken" and "The Atlantic", but there is not a bad one in the bunch. Rock on brother! 🤘😀
Love 'em from the very first note I've heard back in 2004! I've been 3 times in their gigs with meet and greet after the shows. They were so down to earth. Tom is just one of a kind without a shodow of a doubt. Great and emotional reacting video...I can watch ur reactions and comments over and over again. As a huuuge Evergrey fan I can recommend soo many of their tracks, but u can check out "All I Have" from their previous album. Greetings from Bulgaria ^^
I remember the first time i heard Evergrey. I looked just like you. Totally shocked and overwhelmed. And incredibly pleased. I am a sucker for for great melodies and crunchy guitars with stellar solos. And Tom's voice hit me like a ton of bricks. Henrik has been my favourite guitarist for a while. And....yes,Tom was a guest on Ayreon album too ;)
My wife and I got to meet the guys years ago when they were on tour with In Flames and they were very nice and gracious we will never forget and always will be fans of Evergrey 🤘🙃🤘
What a nice combo! Everygrey video with Soilwork playing in the background in the beginning. Looking forward to hearing more Everygrey in this channel!
So glad you are into this amazing band!! Evergrey is so underrated. They have been a staple at ProgPower USA since the beginning. So cool that you get to go through their catalog now as a new fan! I would say check out "King of Errors" next!! Enjoy the journey Tank!!!
Welcome to the Grey brotha, listen to the essence of conviction and in the wake of the weary , and any or all in recreation day . You are gonna be browned away
Crying is like an initiation rite for Evergrey. Doesn't matter how happy you are, if you see them life on stage you'll have to fight with your tears. But it's beautiful and somehow purging.
Dude you make my day everytime with your videos. One of a handful of thing I really lok forward to. I wish my Uncle was still here, as he was the one who got me into metal, because I know that he would not only enjoy your channel but all the music you react to as well. Keep rocking.
Tom’s voice creates a place of safety, comfort, and reassurance. You have to react to King of Errors and of course In Orbit with Floor. you can imagine their voices together are amazing.
First Evergrey album I heard was The Inner Circle in 2004. I immediatley loved the sound, the riffs were heavy, the melodies were proggy and the singing was raspy and emotional. Their guitarsound is something special man. I've seen them love a few times. I really like this band, and your reaction is also great!
Pure Emotions, nearly Headbang through the whole clip, tears in the eyes. That´s the reacts that i love. That´s the tank that i discover when he had around 2k subs and even with nearly 60k he is the same. Cheers man, keep it rockin.
I have been a fan since In Search of Truth (2001) and they have never disappointed. I am so excited for you on being able to go back in their history and discover this music for the first time. If you want to check out more videos; I recommend King of Errors & More than Ever...although you can't go wrong with anything.
I didn’t realize who the lead singer was at first. I first saw him being interviewed by Floor Jansen on her UA-cam channel. It was a great conversation about music and mental health. Very informative. He seems like a great dude.
Yes this band is incredible most guys my age ( I will be 59 in April ) never heard of Evergrey Ive been following them since 2002 the emotional vibes this band gives off is why I love them so much along with Tom's amazing vocals!
Tank !!! I love you Man for this Video ........i saw your tears ..... !! When i'm listenig to this song ....it's always the same going through me ....!!!Awesome Band .....i'm listening to Evergrey since 23 years.... !!! Thank you so much .....i wish you all the best from my heart...! Regards from Austria .........!!!
love the reactions man. great vibes. more evergrey please! i'd recommend The Beholder, Forever Outsider, A Silent Arc, Weightless, This Ocean, A Touch of Blessing, More Than Ever and Blinded to name a few.
Awesome reaction Tank! :) I have been in bed with Evergrey since the beginning haha! One of the first bands that drew me into the metalscene. They are awesome! I LOVE Tom Englund's voice along with the instruments. Their sound is so unique! I live in Gothenburg and I went to Metaltown in Gothenburg back in 2009 and saw them. They had the first time (opener) at the first day of the festival. They were hillarious (great sense of humor) and did really connect and interact with the crowd. You should definately check out more of them! Both old and new. My thoughts on upcoming reactions: A Touch of Blessing I'm Sorry The Paradox of the flame (featuring Tom's wife Carina who also is a musician) King of Errors In Orbit (feat Floor Jansen) Recreation Day (the whole Recreation Day album is amazing to be honest) Wrong Your Darkest Hour For Every Tear That Fall Cheers, William
Jajajajaja.! The last gesture that you did after the song finished remainder me when back in the years when I found a great band I did the same. It's a great feeling.
I discovered this group in 2000 seems to me with a duet with his wife (for every tears that fall) and since the first notes I listened to, I have lithally fallen in love with their music.
The grand collapse/king of errors/passing through/a touch of blessing. Crazy story, I saw these guys back to back nights in Florida a few years back and maybe 50 people showed up. Mind-blowing how underrated this band is in the US.
I always see Evergrey as absolute passionate musicians who serve us one sick song after another. They are so unique.

Wow! Then you have a lot of good albums to get goosebumps and also cry to! I love Evergrey, and have seen them 17 times live. Last band I saw before corona hit Sweden.
Same thing for me, the Stockholm gig. I'm so happy having the chance to experience that before it hit us. You beat me with a couple of shows when it comes to see them live, I think I have 14 gigs on my list.
Evergrey is one of my favourite bands of all times since I first heard them back in 2001 with "In Search of Truth", Tom's voice is so warm and passionate. Everything is good from them, but if I have to recommend you some of (for me) their best songs, try "Dark Waters", "A Touch of Blessing", "King of Errors", "In Orbit" or "The Lonely Monarch" just to say some of them. Greetings from Spain.
Good stuff Tank! Been a fan of Evergrey for a long time, must say these few songs off the new release are as good if not better than anything they’ve put out, so good timing on your part. That said, the Beauty of this band is I still listen to tracks from years ago which don’t get old, makes the fur rise and hits you in the gut! There is no other band that I know of that’ll slam you in the head, knock you down, pick you back up and give you a warm hug like Evergrey does!
Have you seen the interview/talk Floor Jansen had with Tom Englund? It is very interesting about the study he did while being in the band. Worth looking at.
I just discovered this band (and song) from Spotify metal radio. And I was thrilled when I found out you had reacted to it. I didn't know they were from Gothenburg (I'm from a place 30 minutes by car north of Gothenburg). I have next to no one to share my melodeath love with, so I'm watching you guys (Tank and Chase). That way I can se the joy in your eyes. And I love your tears. That's what it's all about. Thanks for another great reaction.
Im Loving the Evergrey reactions and commentary! Reminds me of myself that nite I discovered them when I clicked on the "Passing Through" video and amidst the standing ovation I wanted to spontaneously ignite in my room, there was a startling bewilderment as to how they evaded me all along. I couldnt believe that Id not read , heard about them and that they had so many other brilliant albums for me to delve into. I spent the nxt few months buying everything they did.
Having been a massive Evergrey fan for almost 20 years it's so cool that by them I got to know you and your channel. Love what you do here! And as I had the chance to tell Johan himself, his bass sound is my go-to reference. It's just mindblowing! Stay safe Tank! PS: check out some portuguese bands ;)
They've done some amazing concept albums, in the past. At the moment me and my fiancee are rewatching the X-Files, and that automatically got me back into listening to "In Search of Truth", which is an amazing album from Evergrey about conspiracies and alien abductions.
Hey Tank, super excited you’ll be covering more of Evergrey! You’ve been covering a lot of my favourite bands, and seeing a person’s first time reaction and perspective really reinvigorates the love and enthusiasm as if I was discovering them all over again! I think you’d really love “Disconnect” and “In Orbit.” from “The Storm Within.” Didn’t even know both of the songs had Floor until I looked it up just now, but that’s an added bonus! Happy listening!
8:22 - I understand that feeling. That's the feeling I got when I was first introduced to Evergrey about 12 years ago, and more recently when I "discovered" Nightwish. I have two favourite bands now: Nightwish and Evergrey.
Awesome stuff, I always felt like Evergrey is sort of the most soulful metal band in a certain sense. The compositions are always solid, the heaviness is there but also Tom's voice and vocals are so unique and bring a whole different flavour to the songs. I'd recognize Tom and Evergrey even in a coma. Great reaction once again Tank!
I have never heard of them until your reaction video, didnt love that song just liked it, now im realy loving this one. Yeahp im going to check out more of their stuff now
This was the first Evergrey I heard. Just popped up on a derived playlist as I was driving home from work. I almost had to pull off the road to find out everything about the band right away. Hadn't heard a new tune this good in a long time. Knew you would be loving that solo breakdown and reentry.
Tank, my case is the opposite. I didn't know about you but Evergrey is one of my fav bands since i discovered them in 2004. Now, thanks to Nocturnal Eternal i found your channel, and maybe it is the only one about reactions i do enjoy to watch. Cool job, very interesting to know about the gear details for an ignorant in that field like me haha...I am sure many people told you, but you need to watch "The Masterplan" video. That was the first Evergrey i listened and i still remember the emotion and the shock i had....Coincidentally i was thinking the same about this 2 last songs, just few days back i thought "if i have to show what metal is to any person who is not into it, i would choose now this vid or any of Evergrey". Cheers!
*Same here, Tank. Saw a few times the thumbnail for "Eternal Nocturnal", but always clicked the "Watch later"-button. Then I saw that you released a new reaction.....and it was EVERGREY -- "Eternal Nocturnal".* *After I saw your reaction video, EVERGREY got me.....I pre-ordered the upcoming album. Greetings & Stay safe.* 🎵🎸🥁🎹🎸🎵🔥🔥✨🎆🤘😎👍
One thing I really enjoy with this channel is all those small random facts that is popping up every now and then. You make some effort to show what the bands are all about, love it! I´ve seen so many reaction channels with non absolutely non info of the bands or anything, just - I don´t know anything about this band or thier music and after the reaction it´s - that was good, don´t forget to like and subscribe
Man, you gotta listen to their Inner Circle album. It's a masterpiece. Recreation Day is also mindblowing. I envy you this road of discovering them so much!
First time listening to Tom (the duet he did with Floor "in orbit") he reminded me of Chris Cornell.. and i loooove his voice :D Great reaction as usual man :)
Been a fan of them for years/ decades also seen them so many times and it's a great live band as well. One thing with them is that they are very consistent both in sound and deliverance so I'm pretty sure you will love their previous records all 11 of them ( soon 12 ). Great to see the emotions you have for music and all I can say is that I'm the same way, some bands/ songs just hit me like train on the nose.
Nice TankTheTech! Finally some Evergrey! These guys are so good. I have been listening to these guys since 2000. If you liked this song you should check out Weightless from the album The Atlantic - 2019. As a bass player you are gonna love it. It in fact got me to buy my first bass. Then there is also In remembrence from the album Monday Morning Apocalypse - 2006. There is so many good songs from them but these are my absolute favourites. And of course this you just played! Please do a reaction to Weightless, I would like to see you cry some more... ;-) Thanks for the awesome channel and keep up the good work!
Tank, you rule man!
I enjoyed every minute of that!😊🙏
And all rest of you guys, thanks for all the great, kind and good vibe comments! More of exactly that in this world, that’s what we need! 😊😊🙌
Och tack vare tank,så började jag lyssna på er. UA-cam är en bra platform att upptäcka ny musik på. 😀. Mycket bra låt btw. Ser fram mot albumet. 👍
Thank you so much, man! I’m glad I get to experience your music with everyone else on here, and can’t wait to check out more!
No thank you guys cheers
Wow !!! A warm message from Tom ?!?! Legendary Status
Thank you Tom for some awesome music!
Your energy and good vibe is infectious! This was a joy to watch! 🙏
Thank you, and thanks everyone for the nice feedback! 🤘
Thank YOU, man! This music is a joy to listen to.
One of the world’s best drummers right here 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Jonas, you look like you are having so much fun in this music video! Glad to see your drums didn't catch on fire this time! xD
Jonas! Your drumming makes this song! Just saying...
@@christerolausson2702 Haha awesome, thanks Christer!
So happy you're getting into Evergrey! They deserve all the love they can get.

This song is just stuuuuuupid good. Definitely musically emotional. So glad you found your way to them!
Love love love this reaction my man ! Such a pleasure to watch !! Thank you
Tom’s voice creates a place of safety, comfort, and reassurance. You have to react to King of Errors and of course In Orbit with Floor. you can imagine their voices together are amazing.
I am so happy you found this band and brings them out in the tube world :) they deserve it! lets goooooo! Love from Sweden !!
Fantastic pure reaction, keep rocking! More Evergrey please.❤
This song is so good. It’s been in my head for days
I only just discovered them also. and wow have we been missing out on some amazing music.
Pure Emotions, nearly Headbang through the whole clip, tears in the eyes. That´s the reacts that i love. That´s the tank that i discover when he had around 2k subs and even with nearly 60k he is the same. Cheers man, keep it rockin.
Thanks a ton, man! Glad you’ve been here for the ride!
I have been a fan since In Search of Truth (2001) and they have never disappointed. I am so excited for you on being able to go back in their history and discover this music for the first time. If you want to check out more videos; I recommend King of Errors & More than Ever...although you can't go wrong with anything.
I can't believe I ignored this band until now, this is freaking awesome!
I told you that you would love it. 😎
It will be excellent to see you react to every single Evergrey song. 😁🤣
In Search of Truth.
Perfect album.
Rulers of the mind, Dark Waters, Watching the skies etc.
Classic album.
love the reactions man. great vibes.
more evergrey please!
i'd recommend The Beholder, Forever Outsider, A Silent Arc, Weightless, This Ocean, A Touch of Blessing, More Than Ever and Blinded to name a few.
Awesome reaction Tank! :)
I have been in bed with Evergrey since the beginning haha!
My thoughts on upcoming reactions:
A Touch of Blessing
I'm Sorry
The Paradox of the flame (featuring Tom's wife Carina who also is a musician)
King of Errors
In Orbit (feat Floor Jansen)
Recreation Day (the whole Recreation Day album is amazing to be honest)
Wrong
Your Darkest Hour
For Every Tear That Fall
Cheers,
William
Jajajajaja.! The last gesture that you did after the song finished remainder me when back in the years when I found a great band I did the same. It's a great feeling.
Next song must be one of these - A touch of blessing / Kings of Errors / In Orbit / Distance.
A touch of blessing is a great song, i love the build up in that one :)
I’d have to add Passing Through. One of Evergrey’s best imo. The pace, energy, solo breakdowns are incredible! Song fits the title perfectly.
Dude, I also cracked up on 12:17 of the video. That was a massive punch. Keep Up The Good Work.
I discovered this group in 2000 seems to me with a duet with his wife (for every tears that fall)
and since the first notes I listened to, I have lithally fallen in love with their music.
that would be his ex-wife ;)
Thanks for showing me this band dude, I think you've found me a new favorite!
🤘🤘🤘
Tank, your reacts are fantastics!!! It's fun, emocional and you bring us a lot of more informations dude
I started it but still need to finish it!
@@TankTheTech Fantastic 👍
That was a😑such an interesting and insightful interview. What a lovely person Tom is😊
I just discovered this band (and song) from Spotify metal radio.
Best reactions !! Genuine, you really "get" Evergrey. One of my fav and i think Tom`s is " Solitude Within " .. An older song but a classic:)
Thank you!
They may not be the biggest band in the world, but they are a very special one and I am always glad to see more people get hooked on them.
Goosebumps as always when you're listening to Evergrey !
this is prob the most powerful song I have heard in the last decade.
Your reactions are awesome!! And Evergrey its a amazing band! Hope to see this guys live again in Brazil 🤘🏼
I spent the nxt few months buying everything they did.
back logging Evergrey will be very epic. recreation day - current stuff is so epiccccccc
Hey Tank,
super excited you’ll be covering more of Evergrey! You’ve been covering a lot of my favourite bands, and seeing a person’s first time reaction and perspective really reinvigorates the love and enthusiasm as if I was discovering them all over again!
I think you’d really love “Disconnect” and “In Orbit.” from “The Storm Within.”
Didn’t even know both of the songs had Floor until I looked it up just now, but that’s an added bonus!
I found Evergrey from Dark Tranquillity hyping them, and I am glad they did! They're amazing! :)
This band is so underrated.
Cheers!
Thanks a ton!
*Same here, Tank. Saw a few times the thumbnail for "Eternal Nocturnal", but always clicked the "Watch later"-button. Then I saw that you released a new reaction.....and it was EVERGREY -- "Eternal Nocturnal".*
*After I saw your reaction video, EVERGREY got me.....I pre-ordered the upcoming album. Greetings & Stay safe.* 🎵🎸🥁🎹🎸🎵🔥🔥✨🎆🤘😎👍
That’s awesome, man! Thanks!
Thank you for noticing the effort!
Yeahh! Chris Cornell was instantly in my mind too. There's similarity for sure :)
Same here. Tom's voice reminds me a ton of Chris Cornell's
Please do a reaction to Weightless, I would like to see you cry some more... ;-)
Thanks for the awesome channel and keep up the good work!
