I own an 2011 XKR Black Pack in Ultimate Black! 26,000 miles. It’s an amazing car to own and drive. People get confused thinking it’s a sports car it’s extremely powerful GT to get you to your destination in comfort, style and speed when you need it. It’s Beautiful to look at from all angles and super comfortable and a timeless design. The other powerful versions in the X150 family is the XKR-S and the GT which is super super rare. Love my Jag..

I have the 4.2 XKR X150 2007 with 45k miles, its an absolute beast, i choose the 4.2 because the engine is more reliable and the performance isn't much different and you still have the gear stick instead of that round switch, i believe the 4.2 in time will be the most desirable model, great cars

I own a 2009 4.2 xkr one of the very last of the 4.2s and i love it, ive owned a few V8s over the yrs but this one is by far the best of them. I think the 4.2 might just be the more reliable of the 2.

Yes I would love one of those! But everything (almost) is true. I am a 70 year old chap - owned a huge number of different motors; BMW, Merchandise & a SAAB 9000 back in the day. I now have a low mileage Jag XJ Portfoli,. I really love it! It only has the V6 and is not as fast as XKR, but at.315Bhp, gets to 60 in about 5.6 seconds - very pedestrian compared with your XKR. Fantastic sound system 1300 watt 21 speaker sound. And yes it has all the luxury expected from a large saloon car. The roof lining is suede, and seats do other things like massage. Even at my age, I can take it for a three- to four hour drive without anŷ discomfort. bought this one second hand (one previous owner). It still only has just over 48,000. miles. I have had it over two years now. But it has cost me very little on.keeping everyone mechanical or electronic problems. Until I bought this one I had the XJ350, for a number of years, but the mileage was over 160,000, and things were starting to go.

I’ve owned both the XKR (59 plate - for 7 yrs), and XFR (15 plate - 1 yr). You won’t be unhappy at either. The later XFR feels quicker, with its 8-speed box, and it’s slightly better on juice (38 mpg on a run; best I had on the XKR was 27). Both are a bit thirsty around town, typically 16-20. Performance can get you a jail term on both.
Check the water pump on the XKR, and it also needs an annual air conditioning refrigerant top up. Both are very easy to keep; tyres reasonable, road tax £640pa, 3x my insurance cost.

Put on an undersized supercharger pulley along with a tune and now running just over 610bhp, up from the stock 510hp. I wasn’t sure about the new style, but hell! It has only 300hp, but it can really shift. As I said, not a sports car, remember Jaguar used to claim’space, grace and pace’. Being an F-Type R AWD owner on a 15 plate (pre face lift & DPF's) the car was designed with the sympathy towards the E-Type. The XKR range was designed pre Tata ownership and looks in my opinion to closer to an Aston. Still a great car by all means, but sorry the F-Type R way surpasses this in every ounce of performance. The gearbox is the modern ZF 8 speed. I'd put the 20-70 time on here, but would be considered only as academic, plus I don't wish to brag lol. So happy you got in Jaaaaag Calvin a V8 at least and you did it justice, nice one, now go find an F-Type R AWD V8! for even more smiles and enthusiasm.

Cal love the videos as usual. However if I may offer a bit of advice. I think (if it's an option) that you don't need to talk about the interior of the cars before doing the HPI check. During the HPI check, we're always told the specs and options. So why not do the interior bit during HPI check? It would cut out you having to stand outside talking about the interior of the car and mentioning some specs, only to sit in it and go over all of it during the HPI. Probably you can combine the two.
I'm not sure if it's possible with your schedule. But I do know it would cut out the amount of time it takes to stand in the sun to talk a bit about the exterior and interior.

But are these and the base reliable/expensive to maintain like a Maserati? I live in America and only old people own the car, they don’t upload info to the internet I swear .

Such a beautiful car. I find it funny that people buy a horrible RS3 when you can get something like this

I think Calv should try an XFR 5.0 Sportbrake estate. New daily player?

Awesome motor but 18mpg vs my Golf that does 80 🤣
The VW no competition but seriously....I'd have to remortgage the house to do a Dorset run and back in the Jaaaaaaaagg.
I can do a return trip with fuel left over for less than a tank / £100
Doing the same journey in this Jag would set me back nearly £500 🥵
Great car and content but no surprise the owner needed to off load it 👍

335d xdrive or 335i xdrive with a tune
435d xdrive or 435i xdrive with a tune
Mine were absolute animals, I had the diesels and they would of both had a run with my m4 for a little while no problem .... obviously they was both tuned

XJS not massively fast? What do you consider massively fast?
This car does 155 mph and 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. The XJS being not massively fast only got 153 mph and 0-60 in 6.8 seconds. Sadly it didn't have as much horsepower.
