I own an 2011 XKR Black Pack in Ultimate Black! 26,000 miles. It’s an amazing car to own and drive. People get confused thinking it’s a sports car it’s extremely powerful GT to get you to your destination in comfort, style and speed when you need it. It’s Beautiful to look at from all angles and super comfortable and a timeless design. The other powerful versions in the X150 family is the XKR-S and the GT which is super super rare. Love my Jag..
I have the 4.2 XKR X150 2007 with 45k miles, its an absolute beast, i choose the 4.2 because the engine is more reliable and the performance isn't much different and you still have the gear stick instead of that round switch, i believe the 4.2 in time will be the most desirable model, great cars
I own a 2009 4.2 xkr one of the very last of the 4.2s and i love it, ive owned a few V8s over the yrs but this one is by far the best of them. I think the 4.2 might just be the more reliable of the 2.
Yes I would love one of those! But everything (almost) is true. I am a 70 year old chap - owned a huge number of different motors; BMW, Merchandise & a SAAB 9000 back in the day. I now have a low mileage Jag XJ Portfoli,. I really love it! It only has the V6 and is not as fast as XKR, but at.315Bhp, gets to 60 in about 5.6 seconds - very pedestrian compared with your XKR. Fantastic sound system 1300 watt 21 speaker sound. And yes it has all the luxury expected from a large saloon car. The roof lining is suede, and seats do other things like massage. Even at my age, I can take it for a three- to four hour drive without anŷ discomfort. bought this one second hand (one previous owner). It still only has just over 48,000. miles. I have had it over two years now. But it has cost me very little on.keeping everyone mechanical or electronic problems. Until I bought this one I had the XJ350, for a number of years, but the mileage was over 160,000, and things were starting to go.
My friend has an 2010 XFR that he bought from brand new, he got Jag at the time to tune it, change the badges too black, put a sports approved exhaust system, and a different super charger pulley, it’s running 555bhp and a real beast with the different exhaust, real pops etc not some programmed over done pops and bangs etc :)
Seriously tempted with either one of these or the xfr, insane value for money, also love hearing praise for the xjs, normally people forget about them. My dad has a ‘94 6.0 xjs, honestly such an underrated car
I’ve owned both the XKR (59 plate - for 7 yrs), and XFR (15 plate - 1 yr). You won’t be unhappy at either. The later XFR feels quicker, with its 8-speed box, and it’s slightly better on juice (38 mpg on a run; best I had on the XKR was 27). Both are a bit thirsty around town, typically 16-20. Performance can get you a jail term on both. Check the water pump on the XKR, and it also needs an annual air conditioning refrigerant top up. Both are very easy to keep; tyres reasonable, road tax £640pa, 3x my insurance cost.
@@saharajack1 yeah they don’t deserve the bad rep at all, but it keeps the second hand cost down for enthusiasts so I’m ok with it 🤣 I wish my insurance was a third of 640 😅
If they can get the Dynamic Edition, that's the best. Has the XKR-S suspension and performance upgrades, the full Speed Pack aero kit, but the nice looking Jaguar XKR looks vs the XKR-S oddities.

Being an F-Type R AWD owner on a 15 plate (pre face lift & DPF's) the car was designed with the sympathy towards the E-Type. XJS not massively fast? What do you consider massively fast?
This car does 155 mph and 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. The XJS being not massively fast only got 153 mph and 0-60 in 6.8 seconds. Sadly it didn't have as much horsepower.
Binca dust? Gold dust more like! Boomtime!
