  • I´m excited about the new simulation framework for Cloth, Ropes and... Soft Bodies of course! It´s just so much faster and reliable and I see so many new ways how I can put this into my daily workflow as a 3D Artist.
    With the release of Cinema 4D 2023 you get lot´s of new possibilities to create amazing and playful simulations for your 3D artworks. So let´s create this transparent Donut, filled with beautiful Soft Body Subsurface Jell-o´s.
    PS: Impress your friends and pretend that you are learning Houdini;-).
    On my patreon...
    / 3dbonfire
    ...I will dive deeper into these settings and release a more in-depth part in the next days.

    For once i'm happy with the UA-cam algorithm. I don't do 3D animation, juste still image for architecture and i'm not even using C4D. But i'm just really impressed by your render ! This is so cool with this kind of "organic / strange vibe" in such a realistic render. Great job ! I will keep watching with a lot of interest. Yep that's a subscribe !

I just have a critique, in the future it would be great if you pointed out any shortcuts you're using, without omitting any cause in one or two points I got lost (I came back to C4D after years and, especially with the new interface I get confused a lot). I'm not ready to say its great. It still sucks...but only sucks way less than it used to. I still get polys flying around and unpredictable results and do endless tweaking to not much success. My main issue is that increasing substeps, which is supposed to make the simulation more accurate -- usually makes it worse. And the settings in cloth don't seem to do much as far as material properties go. Usually iterations has the biggest effect and that's not in the cloth tab. So if cloth and softbodies was mostly unusable before, I'd say it's now "usable". I'm hoping your video can help me with something I'm missing.

    • @3DBONFIRE
      @3DBONFIRE  Рік тому

      Hmm, really strange. I'm pretty sure my simulation solved better, after increasing substeps🤔.
      But yeah... there is still a lot to improve but overall, it's a great improvement in my opinion👍.
