Great to hear that vegan cheeses are improving. The chefs that create the perfect vegan cheeses should receive the Nobel price. I will keep my eyes open for Violife cheese, not sure if it is available where I live.

Definitely inspired to do up my own cheese plate next weekend and love the apricot and cheddar idea or the cherry jam. One thing I find myself missing is the blackberry coated goat cheese log that I always associated with holidays. This gives me some ideas on how to get that same affect. Thanks!

Fantastic video! I recently tried their shredded option and it was delicious. I'm allergic to cucumbers, so I've been loving pickled asparagus since I can't use regular pickles.

An olive tapenade and a good garlic and herb cream cheese or butter is such a must on a cheese board. Guess who's making a mini cheese board for herself as the ultimate self-care tonight. Too bad we don't get the epic mature cheddar here in the Netherlands. Hopefully they'll expand their line here soon. :)

@@TheVeganView I love the Nature & Moi camembert (I like it with agave and walnuts, like a brie with honey situation), the Simply-V cream cheese with herbs, the Bedda feta cheese and everything made by the brand Happy Cashew. They're quite expensive so they're the perfect special occasion kind of thing. 😍

I used to love making vegan charcuterie boards. so this makes me ache a little! One of my favorite things to add was the Yves salami rolled up with vegan cream cheese in the middle, because I loved that in the non-vegan form as a kid. I also love the Daiya farmhouse blocks, which I cut into little cubes, and they always got rave reviews. Sliced baguette, olives and Whole Foods has a terrific flatbread that was always a staple.
I'm glad more firm cheese blocks are becoming available! Miyoko's is good, but you can only do so much with spreadable or sliced cheeses. I've never seen the Epic Smoked or the Garlic & Chili and I don't see that on their website... are these at Whole Foods or...?

My hobby is watching ethical vegans trying so hard to replicate meat and dairy even though they supposedly find it disgusting and wrong to eat. I understand why- your body needs that stuff so you crave it, but it's interesting how creative they can be trying to replicate the real thing. I saw some guy try to make fish and chips from a banana blossom awhile ago. He was even pointing out how it had flakes like the flesh of a real fish 😂 I don't agree with veganism but I can appreciate the innovation
We are not supposed to find it “disgusting”… not sure where you got that information. Majority of vegans grew up not vegan, and don’t go vegan because all of a sudden they find the taste of meat and cheese disgusting, they go vegan to cause less harm to the animals, the environment, and their health. A lot of them still like the taste? Just don’t want the suffering attached to it. 🤣🤣🤣
