I have this in 40 degrees and love it. Use sit many times this year and am debating getting either a 20 or 0. Me being a lazy hiker, this really fits in with that. Less setup, no adjustment and no fiddling with it when you get in and out. Set it up and there it is. Really a great hammock! 👍
This is what we like to hear! Glad it's working well for you.
I just wanted to add… I have a 0 degree one and I am exceptionally pleased with it…‼️
It’s like having a electric ⚡️ blanket under you… Great job Dutch… Thanks again…‼️
Glad you’re enjoying it.
I can attest that this is an awesome product from Dutchware. My 40 F quilted Chameleon had no issues at 35 F. I brought a 3/4 quilt along in case I got cold, but never used it
Awesome!!
Always get excited to see these these videos!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks!
I'll be using my 20 F quilted chameleon this weekend to the coldest I've taken it yet - right around 30 degrees F. I'll let you all know how it performs. It's been super comfortable so far.
I took my 40 F quilted chameleon down to at least 35 F with no issues… and I’m a cold sleeper. There’s a video of this camp on Random Adventures 2.0 if you want to check it out
We look forward to hearing how it works for you.
I'm excited for my next hammock to be a quilted chameleon! The sheer customization that is offered is staggering, and I can't wait to have a sidecar/sidesling to stow items in. Have you made an ultralight version for yourself for the AT next year?
We're still working on the "Thru hiker" hammock.
@@dutch3323I'm very excited for the Thru-Hiker! I'm hoping it's "simpler design" lighter, and not "questionable fabric choice" lighter.
Question: Am I safe to assume that my JRB zip on underquilt that I currently use with my Chameleon can be added to this new design? ( for more warmth in colder temps; I'm in -30 c temps and like being warm )
Great innovations Dutch, I love it!
Yes. It should work just fine.
any plans to do something like this on the bridge hammocks?
Yes, we are hoping to insulate the Banyan as well but we're playing catch up with orders and other projects right now.
Temp ratings considered comfort or survival? Any plans to do 950 fill?
Comfort rated. Currently no plans for 950.
And will you make a 30F version?
Probably not. We will likely stick with the temp ratings we have now.
i would love to have one of these for 0 or 10 degrees. but i don't camp enough to buy another set up. lol
I'm sure your old setup would have a good resale value. :)
@@dutch3323 maybe but my current set up i bought from Hemlock Mountain Outdoors, custom for me so i'd like to get some use out of it before i turn it in. lol ttyl
might as well sew the top quilt in too lol
Nah, it's nice to be able to swap those out and vent as needed.
@@dutch3323 that's the argument for swappable underquilts too
Very true. However, since your heat rises it's a lot easier to use the same underquilt in any weather vs the same top quilt.
I really like the dutchware stuff, but there's been a little cottage company in the UK making quilt hammocks for at least 6 years or more. I messaged you on FB messenger with pics
I'd be interested in seeing what they are making. I'd imagine it's the same as the other insulated hammocks on the market and not actually quilted.
