As much as I like the video, could you possibly pin a comment or something with what the level 100 stats would look like for the Nagakiba? Jumping from 35 to 150 is crazy
upgrade your vigor to about 35-40 and then spread the rest of your points between dex and arcane, as well as hitting that 15 faith requirement. you can also put some points into mind if you want a bigger fp bar.
@@RodB9669 np, if you find yourself dying a lot you might want to upgrade vigor a bit more. I realize now that 35-40 at level 100 might be low to some but I prefer using the extra points to scale my damage more.
Bandits curved swords, occult for 150, bleed for high levels, build it out for jump attacks and anything that boosts successive attacks. You will rip through bosses like tissue paper
thanks might try this, the samurai bloodflame build has been nerfed into the ground it feels like. no where near what it used to be. made the game terrible to play honestly. about to start over again or switch up to something like what you said

at the level 150, you simply shouldnt be using the rivers of blood for bleed builds, if its your first playthrough, go 2x occult bandit curved swords with seppuku. For the other stats and armor for the build you can just look it up as i am sure that you would find a way better build than this. Rivers of blood should be used in mid game. The amount of time it takes to do full corpse piler which on a average enemy would do 1.5k dmg you would get hit so much and i have previous experience from this on my first playthrough. I would not recommend this weapon for the new DLC in the slightest.
Rivers of blood is only viable if you hit max soft cap on arcane. Using it for any less gives diminishing damage return than all other bleed builds. But on max arcane in terms of bleed infection any build using seppuku or blood flame blade losses to any weapon having bleed arcane scaling & bleed inflicting skill like corpse piller or blood blade dance (almost by x2). Two handing a weapon inflicts more build up than using one weapon on each hand, but you hit faster with two weapons, both becoming pretty much same. It depends on which you like more, but I hate the idea of buffing weapons mid fight.
tested the build started a playthrough 2 days ago and just finished now i can say that i really fell in love with this build the bloodflame nagikiba at early game was super fun and carried me to mid game to at late game when i got rob, i first thought as well after the nerf it was shit but to my suprise it was really fun to play with not op as it used to be but not bad still a decent weapon to demolish bosses with corpse piler. 7/10 build great damage fun play style.
You really need to bump the high end in your mix on your vocal processing chain. Makes it impossible to hear consonants over the slightest external sound. Thanks for the awesome video, with love, an audio engineer.
ROB gets better over the Nagakiba if you've got plenty of points into Arcane. I got this build with 60 points into Arcane going into the DLC and I've been smashing it.
Playing though this amazing game again 💪 I have picked the warrior class at the beginning so I guess this build would work 🤔 can't wait to try it or did I pick the wrong class did I have to pick the samurai class 🤔
Just a bit of advice. If you are going to call this a DLC build, maybe demonstrate it in the actual DLC. You know, where every enemy can one shot you and the boss fights are brutal with hardly any openings.

@@Tobi123Tobs The trick is the Nagakiba initially has C scaling with Dex, meaning increasing your Dex makes you deal more damage. Putting an Ash of War on Nagakiba then choosing the Keen affinity will increase its Dex scaling even further to B level, increasing your damage further with Dex.
haven’t played any sort of game like this since ninja gaiden on the ps3, just started yesterday and i’m level 34, using the bloodfang as of now but it feels pretty slow sometimes, would this kind of build be better ? i’m a samurai btw

tbh bro i just got the game a few days ago and it doesn't help that for some of these locations you don't show exactly where it is on the map... Could've just thrown a picture up like for the flame grant me strength instead of just verbally saying where it is.
Problem I have with these build videos is that they're not always the best option against all types of enemies those warriors in the snow, those giant hands, the giant birds and the giant Frost Giants have been giving me a hard time no matter which build I'm running
You mean the ones before the Fire Giant boss fight? The thing is you don't really need to kill them, the area is so large that you can easily avoid them.

I personally used Flame Grant Me Strength and maybe even Golden Vow later. the physical buffs from those stack so thats helpful. other than that its all up to personal preference
Idk why but my rivers of blood still does more, I tested it on multiple enemies and my nagakiba does like 300 less damage. I’m level 125 and my dex is 55, arcane 60 somethin. Any reason why? Because I know the nagakiba is technically better

I can’t use blood flame blade on my Nagakiba I have the ash of war as double slash and the double slash affirmation thing is standard. I am leveled correctly too
I have both the Nagakiba and Bloodhound fang and I feel the BHF is much, much stronger. Yes, the Nagakiba is faster and as he said, longer, but the Fang just hits like a fkin truck! But I may be wrong, new player, early game...
I’m lvl 50 rn and i’ve been pretty much just hitting min requirements for strength/intell/faith/arcane. Just slam most points into 1. Dex Then vigor and endurance.
you could use any armor you want! it comes down to being able to mid-roll, and maybe having some poise might help you out. but that's a personal preference. personally I choose fashion over function most of the time :)

I recently finished as an astrologer and have a friend who's started as a Samurai, so have been playing co-op with him, attempting to get a decent build relatively early. I kept asking him the same question but sharing screen I could see it was on his right. Eventually though I think he managed to get it to work, don't know what was wrong we're both noobs lol. Love the game though, build is decent so far, he needs a re-birth to re spec his stats but he made mince meat of Radahn.

After reaching the mountaintop of giants, somebody possessing yuras body will appear at the zamora ruins grace (first one after leaving the grand lift of rold). Kill him and you'll get it
1) Do Yura quest line and you will get the armor + 2 Katakana weapon (So Nagakiba + another Katakana, forgott the name) 2) Kill Yura, and kill some npc (forgott the name :P) in the snowfields. Only different is that you miss the best weapon as rewards, but if you only want Yura's armor and Nagakiba, then go ahead and kill Yura :)
this build feels like dogsht now. genuinely almost made me hate the game lmao. its so so so so so bad now, idk if it got nerfed or if they buffed the bosses but i cant even kill red wolf at level 50 with all my gear leveled a bit. i can beat that dude with my eyes closed normally but i legit cannot win with this build lmao. worthless unfortunately.

I believe you also get scaling with arcane when you equip an ash of war with occult affinities to get better bleed.

True, it's straightforward, isn't as endurance hungry as nagakiba, bleeds faster, truly a monster of a build
Occult scavengers curved swords for lower levels**** they come with bleed on them already while the bandits do not

A good tip is to get around 20 arrows and lure yura far away, he stops at a certain point so just shoot him for free kill

Keen is the way to go.
Keen affinity increases Dex scaling, so increasing your dex will help

you don't have to kill them, from Stormhill Shack grace, just head North to the broken bridge then turn left and follow the secret path to Liurnia.

I kept asking him the same question but sharing screen I could see it was on his right. Eventually though I think he managed to get it to work, don't know what was wrong we're both noobs lol. Love the game though, build is decent so far, he needs a re-birth to re spec his stats but he made mince meat of Radahn.

what seal to use
normal one or if you want you can put the howl of shabiri and use the shabiri seal to boost the howl
That boss is way too hard to kill as soon as you start
How do u get his helmet
After reaching the mountaintop of giants, somebody possessing yuras body will appear at the zamora ruins grace (first one after leaving the grand lift of rold). Kill him and you'll get it
Get to the snowfields
1) Do Yura quest line and you will get the armor + 2 Katakana weapon (So Nagakiba + another Katakana, forgott the name)
2) Kill Yura, and kill some npc (forgott the name :P) in the snowfields.
Only different is that you miss the best weapon as rewards, but if you only want Yura's armor and Nagakiba, then go ahead and kill Yura :)

He might move depending on wether or not you have already killed the dragon in the lake. There are two locations that he travels to in Limgrave.
this build feels like dogsht now. genuinely almost made me hate the game lmao. its so so so so so bad now, idk if it got nerfed or if they buffed the bosses but i cant even kill red wolf at level 50 with all my gear leveled a bit. i can beat that dude with my eyes closed normally but i legit cannot win with this build lmao. worthless unfortunately.
