    I go on with medieval stories, and as some of you liked the ASMR video about the Knights Templar, I come back with the Teutonic Knights this time.
    I hope you find it interesting, informative, and that it works for your relaxation and ASMR!

      Thank you! And don't worry about me, I work fast and the whole process to make a video (research/recording/editing) rarely takes more than 2 hours. I always feel a bit like a fraud when people thank me for my hard work because it is just not the case ;).

      Springbok ASMR What does ASMR mean? Watch these vids here from another SA-man: the 2 hour epic film "The Teutonic Knights: Deutschritterorden" and
      see the swiss connection; also watch "The Pharaoh Show" and "Octogon
      The Empire of Darkness" about Switzerland being founded by the Knights
      Templars in the last year of the crusades in 1291, and then they all
      merged into those Teutonic Knights.

    Very interesting material but I would like to put a little refinement. Poland was christian state from 966. Pagans was Prussians and Lituanians neighbors of Poland. The cause of the conflict between the Kingdom of Poland and the Teutonic State was the illegal occupation of part of the territory of the Kingdom e.g. Gdańsk by teutonic knights.

      I'm sorry - I feel like an idiot. I was reading about both topics in work and instantly thought of you. I was also reading about an idea of turning England and France into a single state, apparently there have been a few attempts since the Norman invasion, most recently during WW2 - it was accepted by Churchill but last minute cancelled. I found it fascinating but there isn't enough information available online for you to create a video unfortunately.

    Hey Mr Whisperer,
    i would like to a add a comment on your facts of history and was wondering if you have taken certain aspects and views into consideration. please let me know your view because i am interested in expanding my understanding of history.
    around @12:00- 15:00 mins into the video you mention that the teutonic knights focused to the east of europe towards the duchy of Lithuanian because of its pagan beliefs. I was wondering if you considered the formation of the polish-Lithuanian commonwealth at the end of the 14th century, with the marriage of queen Jadwiga and Jagillo? Poland became a Catholic state in 966 and therefore would have brought Christianity to Lithuanian in the formation of the common wealth. King Jagillo fought the Teutonic Knights at the battle of Grunwald in 1410 to fend of the Teutonic Knight expansion east. The goal of the Teutonic knights was to gain access to the bread basket of poland and its wealth that went up and down the vistula river.
    This is all to my understanding, i would like to hear your opinion, as mine can be bias through my polish background.
    Regards,
    Bartek

    What does ASMR mean and does it have something to do with your whispering? Just asking, because I'm new. :)

    • @TheFrenchWhispererASMR
      @TheFrenchWhispererASMR  9 років тому

      Alexander Ringer np. ASMR is the name given to a pleasurable physical sensation some people experience when exposed to certain stimuli, including whispered voices or a slow explanation about something (but there are many other triggers). You can have a look at wikipedia for an overview of the phenomenon. This video is intended to trigger ASMR and/or to be a sleep aid- but some people listen to it for the content too. It may not work for you but it does not mean you are not receptive, there are plenty of ASMR videos on UA-cam so you can give it a try if you want!

    • @Giureh--G.I.U.R.E.H.
      @Giureh--G.I.U.R.E.H. 9 років тому

      Alexander Ringer A-SM-R implies the letters SM for sado maso, which was a typical aspect related the homosexuality and Baphomet of the Knights Templars and their sub contingent of the Teutonic Knights described by the french king Philip le Bel. Watch the 2 hour epic film "The Teutonic Knights: Deutschritterorden" and
      see the swiss connection; also watch "The Pharaoh Show" and "Octogon
      The Empire of Darkness" about Switzerland being founded by the Knights
      Templars in the last year of the crusades in 1291, and then they all
      merged into those Teutonic Knights.

    Request. I recently started watching an anime called Fate Zero. One of the evil characters is a reincarnation of a Breton Knight that fought with Joan of Arc. His name is Gilles de Rais and he calls himself Bluebeard. He wears elaborate robes and is obsessed with killing children. Creepiest character. I looked him up and he actually was a child serial killing Breton knight who fought with Joan of Arc. I realize not common ASMR material, but I immediatly thought to ask you because....well you know everything French and knight related. LOL. Could you do something on him. I am amazed we never heard of him here in America. Is he popular in France? I even heard that the monument his daughter erected after his hanging became a holy site where women make pilgrimage to pray for fertility. Really?!

    • @TheFrenchWhispererASMR
      @TheFrenchWhispererASMR  10 років тому +1

      Gilles de Rais is moderatly famous in France (and remembered essentially for his crimes more than his contribution to the Hundred Years' War). He was sentenced to death for the murder of dozens of children; you could call him a medieval serial killer. His story may have inspired the character of "Bluebeard" (Barbe Bleue) in various French folk tales, and apparently this anime recycled this :).

      1. Crusaders didn't enslave people. The Muslims and Pagans they fought against did however.
      2. Not sure what you mean by murderers. Killing people is kinda how war works.
      3. Taking back the Holy Land wasn't stealing, it was taking back what the Muslims had stole from Christendom a few hundred years earlier. If you're talking about the way they looted and pillaged then that was the way all armies operated at that time. Kings and nobles rarely had the money to pay wages so looting was the only way for soldiers to make a profit and refill their supplies.
