this story about the Knights Templar had been requested several times, I hope you like it. Depending on its reception, I could also make a video about the Teutonic Knights or the Crusades. As usual your suggestions of topics for other ASMR videos and your comments are welcome below!

Very impressive. I am doing a PhD in the crusades and you show a very delicate and succinct mastery of the material as well as hitting the ASMR stuff. Would be great if you did the wider crusades or other medieval material like the Normans.

Have you read “The Templars” by pierce Paul read? Most likely will not respond and you most likely have finished your PHD however it is a good book on the subject and the sources used in it are extremely reliable

For what it’s worth, I LOVE these older videos with lower quality sound and more natural speaking voice. The newer videos are amazing but these have more distinct and realistic mouth and breath sounds that are oh so tingly!! Anyway, thanks for all you do and for putting me to sleep 😊

Wonderful video, as always. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on the Tudors, specifically Henry VIII and any of his wives/ their descendants. I know it's a very lengthy topic but I find it enthralling personally, and I think it would be nice to hear someone other than myself tell the facts correctly.

The Crusades have got to be one of my favourite periods of history. My favourite order are probably the Teutonic Knights, ( for which reason I cannot remember).
I had several requests to also make the Teutonic Knights, I added the topic to my list of upcoming videos.

Could you do something about the Anglo-Saxons? It's our history topic at school.
You manage to do something that s very difficult and that is to have a male voice that is very soothing, very comforting, yet not in the least bit effeminate. Excellent teaching voice, and very well informed. Also, very fair treatment of European civilization, many who teach on these topics are so skewed to the left that they are incapable of presenting history as it was without introducing their self loathing anti-western bias. It is hard to find someone I can stomach. I am an admitted Euro-phile and am all to happy to hear of all the sins of our civilization's past but we were no worse than the other powers of the time who would have been all too happy to gain hegemony over the world. In many ways better and the world has benefitted from a western hegemony. When you think of the ideal of human rights, woman's suffrage, the end of slavery as an institution, concern for the environment, the relative end of major powers going to war constantly and ravaging huge swaths of the globe. The world would be a very different place had it not been for the power and influence of the Western World. I don't see how it would have been better had say the Turks prevailed at the gates of Vienna. In fact here is a letter written to the people of Vienna from Sultan Mehmet IV prior to the siege:
"We will destroy your little country with our army. Above all
we order you to wait for us at your residence in the city of Vienna so we can
decapitate you. We will exterminate you and all of your followers. Children and
grown-ups will be exposed to the most atrocious tortures before being put to
end in the most vicious way imaginable. Your little empire I will take from you
and its entire population I will sweep off the earth."

myself your master pursue you from east to west and trample under feet with my

I can't say who....okay so here goes with the clues....Another Shitty Day Ahead was the acronym most of the people I worked with used to describe working for that company....if you need another clue (if you do you should be ashamed of yourself)...logo is entirely green (unless you're colour blind in which case choose another colour and just bear in mind the logo is entirely made of letters and you COULD be on to a winner)......The amount of times I've had to stock aubergines (aka eggplant) in the produce department is a freakin' joke - but not as funny as you saying we don't have those in the UK. Behave!

Hello, French Whisperer. I'll check around your channel, but if you have not, could you maybe do a whisper video on the history of the Normans? If not that is OK but it'd be interesting to me. Do you know much about from where , in modern France, I could maybe obtain records on my family name (de Crepon / Crepon)? There's a village with the name Crepon in I think Rouen :) Goes back to about 911-930 AD as far as I know and we came from Denmark, the Crepon side. Been trying to figure out how the Crepons of my family, or why too, they moved from France at some point, to Germany. Ancestor named Conrad Crepon came from Prussia after marrying a woman surnamed Koch to the New York area on a ship mid 19th C. Anyway thank you! Your knowledge is wonderful as is your teaching method. Appreciate that you do not rush as many American teachers do.
note my name is obviously for fun and the Duchy of Normandy no longer officially exists. The real Duke of Normandy is Queen Elizabeth II, at least on I think the Isle of Wight or maybe the Isle of Man.. :)

Do you know anything about the Grail Kings? My family tree has someone named Titurel The Grail King and he was my 53rd great grandfather, and Cathaloy the Grail King Castellors Aminadabson who's my 69th grandfather and Maneal Castellors de Briton the 7th Grand master of the Order of the Grail and he is my 68th great grandfather. Are these name of any significance in the credible Historical World? Is the "Order of the Grail" a reliable thing among respected historians?
The Order of the Grail is widely considered unrealible, due to the insane secrecy in the group. It is interesting that your family tree has multiple members, as most came from different familes. Titurel was one of the last of the Order, and then it kind of disappeared after Maximus the 2nd Grandmaster went missing. Basically, the point of their group was to protect the Holy Grail. In fact, stories often depict three brothers, Kiopley the 3rd, Maximus, and Sionary the 1st. The knight who protects the grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is Sionary, the yougest of the brothers. The Order also took major roles in the wars of the Crusades.
Ryan Hoobin I'm questioning the accuracy of my tree then. I did it through ancestry.com so I don't know how accurate that is.
Well, if it is true, and if you believe the stories of the grail, then your family was badass. The most famous story has the brothers go through many tasks, such as fighting off evil spirits and dragons. Obviously, that story is pure legend, but others have more realistic challenges they faced.
Never knew the KKK existed in medieval times...j/k.
