    I went to the store to pick up limes and they had key limes. yaaaay. making this for hubby bday today. Thanks for the awesome recipe. I know it will come out perfect because every time I make something from this channel it is perfection.

    Ive made this recipe today and it comes out perfect but so sweet for me😀next time i'll skip the 1/2 cup sugar

      Exactly 🙄🙄No need of it since Condensed milk is way sweet enough! 🙄🙄I made it this way for YEARS & it worked with whipping cream great match!!👏👏👍👍

    i made this last night and ate some for dinner with family. its really good and rich.. that part at the end of the video where she serves that small piece? you better serve it the same way. very powerful taste. Great.

      Yeah I def needed to see this comment lol I was about to make it for my family and it seemed to me like the extra lime juice and sugar would make it super powerful. I’ve seen other recipes that take a little less lime and sugar

    You're right....use key limes. They're readily available here in Southern California at any Hispanic market, which are also "readily available" where I live. Key limes are the only way to go. Great recipe!

    Isn't half a cup of sugar on top of a can of sweetened condensed milk a little bit excessive?

      Yeah, I am going to make this but I will leave the half cup sugar out entirely. Also, I dont think I will add any sugar to the tart crust either.

      I think it's that amount because you've got to balance out the tangy-ness of the lime juice.

      I did the recipe , I used a 300ml can of sweetened condensed , I did add the cup of sugar and it was delicious and all my family like it, I think the sugar is important to balance the taste. And I answer cause I do not like to much sugar in recipe and often complain but this one was perfect as it is.

      if you wanna make chocolate tart, look for a chocolate tart recipe instead of a lime tart.

    Is there away to scale this for a 12" tart pan. I invested in the wrong pan, my boyfriend likes key lime pie, and my party is Monday. I was hoping to get to his heart with this. :)

    I made this today and the filling had a metallic taste to it. Does anyone know why? The only metal used in making it was a metal whisk. I did forget to add salt but followed the rest of the recipe. I had a waste of the filling while it was cooling. I've put it in the fridge hoping the metallic taste would lessen when its chilled.

    I made this key lime filling recently and was very disappointed. I used key limes and measured everything perfectly with no substitutions. I ate one slice and threw away the rest, something I RARELY do. It was extremely bitter. Maybe next time I would use 1/2 cup of key lime juice instead of 3/4 cup.
    I love these videos and recipes but this was a fail for me.

    Sorry Sarah But I don’t add the sugar with Condensed milk in the recipe NO Need for it cause it’s sweet enough without it in the filling & I made this way for Years & it’s been a success & I add whipping cream on To after set!!So your recipe is flop👎👎👎
