    I bought this band saw a while ago. It's done perfectly for the past months for hobbyist use. It can even cut tool steel (unhardened) without any problem.
    The saw blades can last up to a few months if you use them properly. Plus, when a blade dulls or snaps, you can still use the good quality spring-like steel for some project (e.g. whittling knives).
    I also love the fact that you can detach the tool from its base and use it freehanded on workpieces you can't clamp in the vise.
    In the end, I feel like this band saw was one of the best tools I have ever bought for its price.

      Thank you for watching and taking the time to share your experience Nicholas. Lots of people seem to bash these products from Vevor, but this saw doesn't seem bad to me. I have used mine a lot since this video and it's still on its original blade. There are probably better saws, but they probably cost way more money.

    I'm into fabricating I have a full size horizontal band saw,but it's big and takes up space while I use it,anyway,I want a smaller one where I can put it in my tail gate,my question is do you think this tool will last,as far as motor and and the bearings for the guide

      Thanks for watching Charles. I have been using mine since I made the review video a couple months ago, but not extensively. Everything seems to be pretty well built considering what they charge for one of these. What type of materials do you plan to cut?

    • @themostlymikeshow2582
      @themostlymikeshow2582  4 місяці тому +1

      I'm sorry about this. I must have got a bad mix when I made this video. You are not the first one to mention this. It has been noted, and in future videos I think I will be more hesitant to use as much music and when I do, I will knock it down a few notches. I have software that does all of this mixing, and I think I had the wrong settings for this video.

    • @themostlymikeshow2582
      @themostlymikeshow2582  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching AL. I believe that it would undoubtedly work on bones very well. Are they big bones that would clamp in the vise on this saw? That would be the only issue that I could think of. This saw is one of the best free things that I had sent to me. It has proven itself quite useful.

    • @AL-ru3nk

      @@themostlymikeshow2582 Hi thanks for replying so fast, appreciate it. No the bones arent too big, just kangaroo tail pieces and lamb necks. Just too big for my little dogs. I can use the hacksaw but its a hard job and i have a lot of bones every month. I was also told that metal blades leave metal shavings when used and not safe for doing food and could be damaging my dogs internally. Not sure if thats true or not. Ive been using the hacksaw for years no issues

    • @themostlymikeshow2582
      @themostlymikeshow2582  5 місяців тому

      @AL-ru3nk I wouldn't think that this would be any different than the band saw blades. It appears to be the same material, only this would be like stroking it One Direction, which would seem to me like it would be less likely to deposit any small pieces of metal, but you never really know. I am definitely not used to hearing about kangaroo bones, being that I live in the USA, LOL. Always wanted to visit Australia!

    • @AL-ru3nk
      @AL-ru3nk 5 місяців тому +1

      @@themostlymikeshow2582 I can understand cutting metal would leave metal shavings but i cant see how the actual blade would give off shavings on its own when cutting bones. Im sure butchers just use a normal metal blade to cut their meat and bones. Hope you get to visit us here in Oz soon 🐱

      Thanks for watching Voodoo Ranger. The saw seems solid, but I can take a closer look at that pivot and see if I can foresee any play. I was actually pretty amazed at the quality of the miter cuts that it made on two inch square tube. It's been several months since I filmed that, and have used it pretty often, but not extensively. I am amazed that the original blade is still holding up. My expectations weren't very high on the factory blades, but they seem pretty decent.
