Sorry guys I just want to make a correction (because I'm dumb af) someone pointed out you can get x3 daily endeavors per day which I totally forgot. So at the rate of 15x3 per day, 7 days a week (315) + 250 for the weekly = 565. So it would take about 29 weeks to get the mount with endeavors, but like I said in the video this is being generous with the numbers. Typically the daily endeavors are about 10 and the weekly closer to 210, so it could still take the same amount of time.
It's not always 15 per day. Better to do the math at 10 per daily task. You'll be happy when you hit your goal early instead of after your calculated date, imo.
You get on average just under 500 endeavors per week. I calculate 490 and get a pretty accurate picture of when I'll be able to get a mount. I really don't need more than one radiant apex every 9 months honestly, but then you gotta connect every single day and religiously do your endeavors, which is ok by me. Before the endeavor system, I never got a radiant apex ever and I've been playing for years. Right now I'm at 17k endeavors on EU & 7k on NA (I just bought a normal apex mount recently over there), I'm not interested in the current radiant apex mounts. Thank god for data mining, I can plan which mount I might want in the future.
Also I buy crowns only on discount periods, only the largest bundle of 21k for 75€ (largest discount - only because I know I will spend them), and I only buy one or two 15 packs at the end of their cycle (when they sell for 3500 crowns) so theoretically that's the cheapest you can get a crate (not taking into account the new 25 crates bundle). I mainly buy them for the gems. I usually have a few items I'm interested in: I get some of them by luck & buy the rest with gems. I never buy crates to get mounts, if it happens by lucky accident great. I'm also doing my best to get as many ouroboros (twitch) crates as possible but they greatly reduced the number of those in the last year or two. When I created my NA account a few months ago, I received around 200 ouroboros crates :D Last thing, I use most of my remaining gems to buy riding speed lessons for my new characters (to 60 speed asap, awesome quality of life boon). At 5 gems a pop it takes 300, I usually have less than that but it still takes me a lot closer to the promised land. If I remember I'll try to record on twitch next time I buy crates and send it to you.
To add to the topic of the Endeavor currency, since certain crates don't actually stay available for that long, even if a player did complete every Endeavor daily and weekly for 45 weeks straight, there is still a huge chance of that player missing out on getting a specific mount that they want from a specific crate. They would have to sit on those Endeavors until that mount became available again, which could take years with how many different crate types there is to cycle through. So, unless the player was able to plan way ahead (and sometimes the news we get regarding which crates show up when isn't that much of a heads up), earning Endeavors for specific mounts that come in crown crates can turn into an absolute chore. As for the crates themselves and the drops chances...Seeing this information layed out (even though I was definitely aware of how rare certain drops were), just makes me want to never buy crown crates again, which really sucks because it is the only way to get a majority of the comestics, furnishings, pets, mounts, and so on. I really wish ZOS would rethink how they go about introducing content to their crown store. Crown crates are just too much of a predatory way of going about it...
They recycle the mounts. My first apex (calunda senche) just became available again. Made me sick remembering how many crates I bought to have enough crown gems for purchase.
Ya know, ZOS should add a feature to endeavors, where you can lock a reward in place, so that you can purchase it when you have acquired enough Endeavor Seals. Think of it like a payment plan. For example, let's say... You are allowed to "lockdown" or "Save" a single crown store reward to your account. It could be a skin, mount or furnishing, whatever, but you can only lock one item at a time. When the crate season ends and all the items rotate, your chosen reward is saved on the Endeavors screen as a goal. When you finally earn enough points, you can return to the Endeavors screen and claim your saved reward. At the very least, this way, no one will have to worry about missing out on an awesome reward, that could take years to return or may never return at all.
Making people gamble to get rewards so they can pay significantly more for what they want for cosmetics that cost pennies to make compared to something like a zone dlc is beyond scummy.
@@labradude thats the problem. The cosmetics can cost $100 or more. A zone DLC costs $20. The Zone and dungeon DLCs are actually really well priced. No complaints really. Even chapters are reasonably priced. The cosmetics and housing are HORRENDOUSLY priced
@@CreativeExcusesGaming yes, the cosmetics are just insane. The houses themselves not so much. Some of those larger homes are very well done. The furnishing system though is just appalling.
@@labradude its not, stop with that dumbfuckk argument when its literally not even true, crown crates also drop mats and xp boosts so its def not "just cosmetics"
The houses cost upwards of 100 dollars (usually around 70-80 unfurnished) for a 'small city in a Zone dlc' sized plot of land. Of course it's insane lmao. How can you agree with cosmetics and then disagree with houses. @corywhitebread6519
Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this video together! Any crowns i get i use to buy dlc (not subbed to ESO+, maybe 1 day). You've solidified my stance on not buying crown crates. I'm not a gambler, not about to gamble for cosmetics! If im buying crowns, its going to be on something I know I'll get a solid return on (dlc). Thanks for getting this kind of info out there to be seen! Hopefully zos rethinks some things...
I've purchased ... uhmmm ... carry the three ... subtract the ... and then take the square root ... hmmm... yeah ... precisely zero Crown Crates for this reason. "The house always comes out ahead," so it just strikes me as silly to expect that it won't.
@@boar1390 you are lucky. I spend 150 euro and the only thing I got was 1 Legendary xp scroll, 1 apex mount and beside that only white trash and blue trash...maybe 3 epics which I can't even remember. (Only bought it because of sale) reminded me to never try again and I was fooled once more.
@@Deku20235no boar is right. Y’all capping. You can’t open that many crates and not pull any purples. Just doesn’t happen. Like he said every 4th crate give or take will drop you a purple
I’m with you, never buy them. As I mentioned last time, I bought some when the first Storm Atronach crates came out and never again except small 4 crate packs as gifts to ESO friends on very rare occasions. I go out and get endeavors as part of my daily rounds, but thankfully shiny stuff doesn’t always appeal to me and I don’t often buy anything. Therefore, I have enough to buy expensive radiant mounts if I really wanted one, but I’d be happy with a new horse with a different real world fur pattern.
Subscribed, because as someone who got loads of crates and never ever in my life got a radiant apex mount or absolutely anything I wanted (just shitloads of scrolls to cash the gems out for the items I wanted) I'm already tired and fed up with this.
I never bought crown crates. I saw the Spellscar Quasigriff and said wow that is badass...but not $750US badass. I will stick with only paying ZOS for ESO+ and crafting bag.
I'm new to ESO. I bought the 25 crate bundle and 15 crate bundles for potions, exp scrolls, the polymorph and crown meals. I got an Apex mount, not Radiant one. I won't buy more crates as I got the supplies I wanted and some mount scrolls as well. Being new I can't craft much yet, but am leveling up my crafting. I play on Xbox. I did get a lot of duplicates.
Really the crown gems seem un fair as well I opened a crown crate got 2 of same apex out and the one that turned into crown gems was maybe a 1/4th of the crown gems it was worth and THATS me being generous 😅
Yes, the endeavour seal system is super grindy. However, if you compare the quality of a radiant apex mount compared to what you can earn in game, you're probably still better off grinding endeavour seals. For example, the antiquity wolf looks so bland compared to any random radiant apex mount.
Yeah all the mounts you get for completing trials in the hardest way possible look ass...which they just gave you a radiant mount exchange token so you can just pick a mount from all the past and current radiant mounts. Instead of an ugly asf mount for all your hard labour. (You only get the token once like now with the current mount)
@@Deku20235 That's a really kool idea. There should be some sort of apex mount token system. Because yeah, the old mounts look like ass. I guess they could switch up the older rewards, but your idea sounds far easier to implement and would be far better for the community's morale. It might also be interesting, If we could trade multiple older apex mounts for a token that allows us to purchase a newer one.
This is some gut punching data to take in. It does help me to solidify my thought of not buying crates (unless with eso plus crowns). I want to buy the 4 crate bundle sometimes but knowing this, it really makes no sense. Great video and thanks.
Woah that was wild to watch! I remember when I was chasing the Celestial Ram mount from crown crates and ended up spending over 9 million gold on crates... It took me about 450 crates to get it... Zos made a good bit of money off me that day. Great work on the video!
Idk if anyone commented already but the endeavor system doest really work for people who have work/school or simply cant play everyday, for me its rare to complete an weekly endeavor since most of them take too long , only if its one like "do 6 dungeon" that i can spend a few hours on, if not its impossible to me to do. So i have around 2k for a few months and its bc i had holidays.
Ideally id like if theybcompletely scrapped the crown crate system but if thats not going to happen it would be nest if the drops were curated like set items so you dont get so many goddamn repeats and the items you dont want you can turn to gems
Damn. I got lucky with my polymorph bundle. 2 Apex mounts (durzog and horse) and 2 legendary mounts. Along with both motifs. That's my crate rng for the year.
These crates make this AAA game look like an indie gacha game. Absolutely disgusting the way they scam the loyal playerbase. Considering that they already make more than enough money through eso+ and normal crown store. Instead of putting these in the normal crown store or achievement rewards, they do this. Man I'm getting real tired of this: horrible monetization, not nearly enough achievement rewards, constantly changing skills and item builds, etc.
I've only been playing since Oct-Nov of last year and have spent at least $600, mostly on crates. I don't think I've ever been wowed by anything I've gotten from any of the crates. When I saw the 25 bundle and the morph, I thought, "One more time." "But, what are my chances of getting that badass morph?" Slim and none. To my surprise, I got it. Then I watched your last video and learned that the bundle included the morph. Win-win, I guess. But man did the crap I get from all of those cards suck. I'm officially done with crates. Thanks for crunching numbers and putting in the work.
You literally spent nearly $100 on something without doing the BARE MINIMUM of research? And people wonder why this game is a cash shop with a casual MMO attached. You people are incompetent. 🤡
I used to be a crown dealer and would buy myself at least 3 of the 15 packs of each crate. I have only ever gotten 2 radiant apex. My second was the bear from these current crates. I bought the pack of 25, no more. I only got 2 scrolls 50% and 150%, 6 bonus cards, and 2 mounts including the radiant. There were only 2 items I was interested in (didn't even want the radiant mount, I hate the bear animation) and didn't get either of those items, which were from the 40 gem tier. I did want the polymorph.
ZOS really wants people to keep buying crates to accumulate gems in order to just brute force the acquisition of the apex mounts. Take it from me, I've bought a ton of crates (more than I care to admit), and it's hard enough getting the apex mounts, but it's incredibly hard to get the radiant apex mounts. I end up just buying crates repeatedly to accumulate the gems to buy the radiant apex mount I want with gems. It goes without saying, this is very expensive. The seals of endeavour take too long and are too grindy for people with jobs, so it really is just the gems if you want to acquire the radiant apex mount. ZOS should stop locking the cool mounts behind the crates and just sell them directly in the crown store for crowns, WITHOUT the gambling mechanics of the crates. Even though I'm an ESO fan, I strongly abhor gambling mechanics in any game, especially in ESO.
I get ESO Plus for the crafting bag primarily. I'm not into housing, not too bothered about fashion or mounts. I've done the same with the crowns as your BF on 2 occasions. First time, I got decent rewards from 25 crates. Second time (much later on), I got nothing amazing. I see your BF also got decent odds first time and I'm wondering if there's a correlation between total crates purchased and the percentages? The crown purchases are presumably logged, therefore they would be able to keep a count of how many crates are purchased by players. It would be interesting to know just how committed or casual the other people featured have been regarding their gambling.
Back when the crates were first introduced, I got the Frost Draugr Senche. I don't recall opening that many crates to get it either. It was a bizarre experience for me with horrible RNG to EVER get anything nice. I feel like, and I have no way at all to prove this, that when the crates first came out the game had better drop odds to get people enticed and then nerfed them into the ground. I came to ESO from Neverwinter, so I was very much aware of how lootboxes could ruin a game and put a hole in your wallet. They shouldn't be allowed. I don't mind a store where you can spend in-game currency or real money if you choose, but the gambling aspect is evil.
I've had regular apex drops on 4 card draws before. I've witnessed it once for me and once for my girlfriend which is very rare I'll add. Also your calculation for gems per stack of 25 has a flaw. Since you end up collecting more and more dupes due to having already getting all the drops in each category of rarity, you will then collect more gems the more you open. So technically you will receive enough gems faster by the time you get the 2500 gems. I have to admit I whaled 3 times for certain radiant apexes and it ranged for me around 200-300 crates. Also refunding everything for gems is a choice per player especially when it comes to the housing items/crown scrolls. I tend to refund everything and just keep 1 of each furnishing.
Got my first apex after spending over $200 on crates and got it with crown gems from deconing all the trash out of the crates. I got the welwa mount last week by planning ahead and sitting on my 16k endeavors.Around 6 months to earn the 16k, I missed a few weekly tasks. Good luck if you are still buying crates, . @ everyone.
So, my thoughts on crates are this. Basically, they are loot boxes like in other games. I like to gamble anyways, I'm not a big gambler, like when I go to Vegas I will take 20 bucks and when that 20 bucks is out it's out, so that's how I approach gambling. Personally, I enjoy the crates, IN MODERATION, and that's the key, moderation. Don't go in expecting you are going to win anything huge, exchange your crown gems, and be on your way. I also enjoy the way it is presented in game with the Khajhiit, I think it's very slick and the way they deal out the cards is very slick, and again, to me that's a gambling thing that you either like or you don't. If the cards are presented in a slick, nicely presented way, you're more likely to keep going. If not, you aren't. Are they fun? Heck yeah. Would I spend hundreds in one session on them or hours? Heck no. Fun in moderation. That's how I view them.
I only get crates as drops from watching twitch streams - and that's only if i get notification that someone has drops enabled. That said, over about 50 crates i've gotten maybe 2 xp scrolls, the rest have been poisons, potions or mimic stones.....I prefer to try to save endevour seals instead.....i can purchase what i want without the b.s. of chance.
I am a recovered gambling addict. Over the years the crates triggered my addiction many times. I spent hundreds (possibly thousands) of dollars and in the 4 years I have played…I only “won” 2 Apex rewards. When it comes to other mounts…I literally have kept winning the very same 2 or 3 mounts over and over again. I no longer purchase crates because I see the crates as a scam. With that said…I am a recovered gambler and am constantly triggered by new “shiny” crates. I’ve had to stop looking at whats in the crates period, at this point. I’ve also decided that if I have an issue again…I will just quit the game. Its not worth the stress and temptation.
Very proud of you that you realized you had a problem and overcame it in the first place, any addictions can be hard to break. Unfortunately ZOS preys on people who do have addictions like that... Glad you can see it for the scam it is, and know how to address it if it becomes a problem again
The only way to get a radiant is to just buy the crates and disassemble all the consumables and scrolls for gems and buy em with gems. Did that when it was still possible to trade gold for crowns but now they removed even that, can't gift players crates anymore. My first ever and only radiant was the Luminous Meridian Charger and took about 8 months to get 16k seals.
Not only does it feel weighted but it feels weighted per pack of crates you buy. Like your first 15 crates will have the same doubles, the next 15 will have different doubles, next 15 will have different doubles. I haven't seen the same thing over and over throughout every crate purchase except scrolls. It seems to change when you buy a new bundle and pets are HIGHLY weighted. I get a shitload of pets. I do have a pretty good apex drop rate though. I got 2 apex out of 40 ragebound crates but they were both the same so I got gems for one. I think only getting 1/3 gems for what they cost to buy with gems is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. My purchase before last I bought I got 3 apex out of 60 crates. So I seem to be getting an apex every 20 crates or so which is better than I see from most. I have not pulled a radiant apex in about 220 crates so far though. From those 220 crates I have 2500 gems. I want that "ugly skin" and instead I got 2 apex bears. I have also yet to pull a camel so no camel mafia for me I guess.
this is some great insight, thanks for sharing! the gems gained from dupes is complete BS in my opinion too. that's some bad luck that you got the same mount twice. hopefully you can get what you want with gems though!
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa Yes but now do I buy that nice 2500 mount up right now or wait and see if something better comes out? The gems are so hard to get but because of that they're equally hard to spend.
yeah that's a good point..... same issue with endeavors. people save them up but don't know if they should spend them or not because something better might come along..
“I’d be sooo pissed off” Yh that is me,me is that… finally brought the 2500 mount buy opening so many packs that I accumulated enough gems.started at 100 crown gems so Yh my bank hates me now.
I understand the game will not get rid of the crates, so at least you brought up some things that could at least improve them, such as remove the fixed rewards such as the scrolls from all the tiers but the green one, I guess. Maybe that would bring more fairness to the money people invest. For the endeavours, I accepted that I will not get a radiant apex mount, and I much rather prefer to get multiple small things like the skins/emotes/pets/marks, than wait forever to get one mount!
I hate to say this, I bought 60 crates and I was trying to farm gems for the new apex mount the one you show here and the I was well on my way when I got not but 2 apex rewards including the harrowfang dorzag. Which was what I was going for. I can’t complain.
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa i spent that much over 6-7 years so it didn’t seem like that much at first until you add it up. I enjoy the game and wanted to get the exclusive mounts for my collection. Also I make decent money so it didn’t affect my lifestyle. I have a friend in my guild that has every radiant apex ever released. I can only imagine the amount he’s spent.
Predatory? It clearly states everything you are buying and what i entails. Are you a child? Predatory? How? You can't make a decision as an adult what you want to do with your money? These are RNG cosmetics, there's no predation or mystery, grow up.
@@Despond Here comes the Zenimax apologist to save the day. If the game had 1/10 of all the cool shit we can get from crates and we could earn said things -- I probably wouldn't be saying this. It's honestly disturbing seeing people defend crates. If you truly can't see what's wrong with this system, then we really have nothing to discuss.
How is this predatory when it’s all cosmetic? The issues isn’t the crates. The issue is all the good rewards are in the crates. If there were plenty of in-game rewards that were good, no one would care about these crates. This is hardly predatory. Zenimax isn’t tricking you into buying something or offering discounts to get you to buy crates if you decline to buy some or putting power in the crates. Those are predatory practices
@@Eweyhen I'm too fucking tired arguing over this. You realize the psychological commitment players have? If yes, and you also realize and agree that crates are essentially gambling and are full of much cooler stuff than what we can earn - then you also agree that falls into the predatory monetization category. We already pay for a bunch of shit, and what do we get? Crappy looking flower skins etc. I'm not even being hyperbolic, ESO is running a shady business. Is it the worst? No, but it's bad.
I have endevor point too buy my 2 apex mount now, + I bougt a few other items in endever store aswell. We do need 1 or 2 extra taskes to make some more points each week
I made a mistake and bought a biggest crate set a long long time ago . Never do it all you get are potions and poisons . People please listen do not buy this marketing suck in . But at the end of the day it's up to you but from a hard lesson learned it is not no were worth it. Some countries don't allow it I know wot doesn't it is considered gambling in certain countries.
Rip. I got like 40 crates and didn’t get it. My friend got 10 and got an apex on his third open. After me opening all of those crates you can imagine how I felt 💀
Lets talk about how they have disabled crate gifting for over a month also forcing people to pay money for them instead of buying them with gold. That's the real scandal right now.
yeah, i am aware that was an issue but i didn't want to bring it up because they were claiming it was a bug. i know some people are saying conspiracies about how it was intentional, but without us REALLY knowing, i decided to leave it out of the video
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa I'm on the side of the "conspiracy". They have had multiple desirable limited time crates during this "bug" and all right before the crown sale. Trying to get people to pony up for crowns at full price. Now the crown sale is on and there is still uncertainty around the crates making people buy crowns while they're on sale just in case it's not fixed anytime soon. They're getting people coming and going. Not to mention after over a month of people begging for updates on the forums they said a week ago that they should have it fixed in the next 2 weeks which just so happens is timed with the end of the current crown sale to make sure those crown sellers stock up bigtime for the flood of gold for crate sales coming. I think it was them testing the waters to see if they could get new people to buy crates at full price rather than them buying crates for gold from crown sellers who bought hundreds of thousands of crowns at 40% off in the last sale. Not to mention getting people trained to spend money instead of gold. You crack your wallet open once and it's easier the next times.
The crates are definitely RIGGED. There are far too many dupes for it to be even close to truly random. The house always wins… because it cheats! Unconscionable wealth extraction. It’s like kicking your paying customers in the teeth and smiling at them afterwards. Games as a service is a parasitical model which often prevents actually ownership. Patch culture means unfinished products, broken mechanics, poor code. Microtransactions are a parasitical practice which is an incremental decline into slavery. Creating your own proprietary in game currency which you can control is a gateway to scamming. Loot crates are gambling for kids. ZOS/Microsoft really have embodied all the worst aspects of the industry. Such a shame because aspects of this game are wonderful, the further exploration of TES lore, voice acting etc.
I can say this with complete confidence that accusations like mine will never be addressed in a court of law because that would require transparency from MS ZOS… and that will not happen. In other words, I wouldn’t worry too much about disclaimers or defamation etc.
148 boxes this season for all 3 super apex mounts but different is 500-810 was my baddes move (only buy crowns with gold) maximum in a season off all 810 boxes to get all, old times before need gems for super apex
The math is wrong on the endeavors. You can do three daily endeavors usually 10 each which would put you at over 400 weekly. Still not enough but just being accurate
Luckily, I never enjoy gambling and I dont care about shiny mounts. Seals of endeavour to get a pet or costume here and there is plenty for my style :)
I actually got 2 Radiant Apex drops in 50 crates I think I might of broken the RNG but the 2 I got were the Bear and the one that gives you spider legs on the back
I have 11 radiant apex mounts. But these crates drops are smaller in comparison to the others. I got the radiant I wanted but had to use the 2500 to get it. Opened 260 crates for it.
Also they lied about "different versions" of apex mounts. So ima sue for false statements and advertisements. All of my radiant apex heavyweights are one of a kind and they don't come in apex. So yeah there's that.
i have to like most of the drops then ill get some but only one bundle per type of crate. this most recent one with the wewa mount really gave me NOTHING lol wont be getting crates after for a while. feels like a real bad day at a casino
I don't like climbing high places, and I don't like wasting tons of money. The idea of spending for an apex radiant mount is like staring up at the Burj Khalifa and I haven't even gotten a ladder yet.
I haven't purchased any crates. I don't do gambling in any of the games I play and will not support it. The endeavor system I think is a good idea, but poorly executed. It shouldn't take you a year to earn a good reward.
Because common sense would tell you that the endeavor system only exists to circumvent gambling laws and not for the player experience. If it was for the players then they wouldn't have went through the effort of developing a new ui with a new currency. There's a reason you get endeavors instead of gems, and there's a reason the endeavours only exists to purchase shit out of gambling crates and NOTHING ELSE in the store.
Yesterday i bought 42k crowns and spent 30k crowns 90 crates and so far i got 3 apexs 4 normal or common mounts which are ugly af and 1 blood rage skin 2 special customizations 4 housing furnishing and 3 crowns motifs too bad cant sell them becuz i got duplicates and at the end of the crates i turned trash items into gems and so far i can say i got 1.6k gems from 90 crates from duplicates and trash items into gems but i still feel bad for droppin 200 dollar on a fuckin mount
Рік тому+1
if its 98% chance for common wat ppl get if they get 2% left
I said fuck it ages ago and started buying crowns from other sources. getting something like... Ossa Accentium was around $11, i think. Sure as hellbeats paying $40+.
Crates are rigged. I got way too many dupes and xp scrolls. Not even 1 freaking mount. They have lowered the drop rate for sure!! Not going to buy a single one anymore.
This might be an unpopular opinion but any cosmetic you have that was bought with real money / the shop means absolutely nothing. Dosent matter how cool it looks or your character looks if you buy it with irl money the item / cosmetic is worthless. The only good cosmetics are one you obtain from completing in game objectives that it.
Maybe they need some call of duty treatment, after all how much money was made just from the necrom chapter alone? This microtransaction method is killing gamimg for the wrong reasons
Why do people care about mounts like the amount of money people spend on this bullshit astounds me the mounts add no content same with the prices for houses its all cosmetic bull shit and they spend so much time creating it that the content for the game suffers
I got the bundle then another 15. then another 30. out of all of that, i got the fox mount, and the lion and one of the other mounts all apex. But what pisses me off. i got both of the motifs, got one of them again, then the other one i got 2 more times. What angers me the most, i have 3 motifs, whcih could go for 1M each, and i can't do jack with them, only sit and learn them on other toons. So stupid, i was wanting the void mother mount. another part that pisses me off, the endevers, 16.000 coins!!! legit like 6 months of non stop farming just to get ONE, radiant mount with those coins. They need to make those radiant mounts, as Rare boss spawns or something in game. keep the drops the same %, but make it farmable. If they did that, and kept the other cosmetics like skins and other stuff, But make the best mounts farmable. that would be perfect. Take a page from Wow for example. Hell, thats a perfect example. Time lost proto-drake. 8 hour spawn cycle, shares a spawn with another rare mob, And drops 100% chance on kill. downside, You gotta fight to get the kill from other groups and the other faction.
Sadly this video falls for almost every pitfall of probability related math (that btw poeple - even expert mathematicians struggle a lot with). Ultimately the sample sizes in this video are way way way too low for any of this data to be usefull.
So funny your response to your bf’s crate purchase 😂 Very familiar.
When I created my NA account a few months ago, I received around 200 ouroboros crates :D
Last thing, I use most of my remaining gems to buy riding speed lessons for my new characters (to 60 speed asap, awesome quality of life boon).
@@myproctolog1st That was my first Apex aswell.
Not nearly as cool looking as some of you newer ones. Grrrr. Lol.
Making people gamble to get rewards so they can pay significantly more for what they want for cosmetics that cost pennies to make compared to something like a zone dlc is beyond scummy.
It's just cosmetics.
"The house always comes out ahead," so it just strikes me as silly to expect that it won't.
all they have to do is to increase endeavor seals per week to 1000 that would solve all problems
i bought the 8k crate bundle and i felt disgusted afterwards not only i got only blue items but that shade should been dropped at vate arena ...
@BOAR bro I’m the one who spent and opened the crates
Therefore, I have enough to buy expensive radiant mounts if I really wanted one, but I’d be happy with a new horse with a different real world fur pattern.
excellent investigative journalism azura! I don’t want the mount but the rage bound harness costume and I didn’t get it with the 25 crate bundle :(
Subscribed, because as someone who got loads of crates and never ever in my life got a radiant apex mount or absolutely anything I wanted (just shitloads of scrolls to cash the gems out for the items I wanted) I'm already tired and fed up with this.
I saved 1 year of seals to get the meridian luminous charger. I just hate that i cant buy houses with Seals.
Please do a video on the endeavor system. It’s definitely not a fair system as-is and needs the highlight.
Yeah, like the fact you can only complete one weekly is just stupid IMO.
The Crown Crates are not for people who are patient.
@@LogicAndCompassionthere absolutely shouldn’t be a radiant apex reward token system, such a dumb fking idea. All u broke niggas crying
For me it took 230 crates to get enough gems for the most expensive radiant apex mount(voidmother's welwa).
that is crazy!
That's close to what it took me as well.
So was that like 77,000 Crowns!? insane
Honestly, the entire crown crate system needs to be thrown out. Just add the cosmetic rewards to the store directly for crowns and be done with it.
This is some gut punching data to take in. It does help me to solidify my thought of not buying crates (unless with eso plus crowns). I want to buy the 4 crate bundle sometimes but knowing this, it really makes no sense. Great video and thanks.
Great video! I’m sure this took a lot of work to put together. Thanks for the in-depth research!
thank you! it was lots of counting...
The crazy thing is... You have a better chance of winning in Vegas, than you do in the crown store.
For me it is:
100% white
100% Blue
0% anything else.
that Fable the Lost Chapters sound track towards the end sure brought back memories haha
Woah that was wild to watch! I remember when I was chasing the Celestial Ram mount from crown crates and ended up spending over 9 million gold on crates... It took me about 450 crates to get it... Zos made a good bit of money off me that day. Great work on the video!
god damn that's insane! they definitely did, and thank you!
That is my chase as well. I have been saving my in game gold and gems to try and make it happen, but it's.....sad :(
I’m really surprised you don’t have more subs. You make well-edited and informed videos.
Thank you!
Thank you for the video. This data makes me upset. In game rewards are scarce and loot crates are overpriced junk.
I love how everybody is raging at EA for their FIFA packs to get the best player and no outlet or journalist covers this scummy stuff.
I have bought hunderds of crates and got not one radiant apex
Ideally id like if theybcompletely scrapped the crown crate system but if thats not going to happen it would be nest if the drops were curated like set items so you dont get so many goddamn repeats and the items you dont want you can turn to gems
This is soo effed up I can't believe they would do this to their customer base
Damn. I got lucky with my polymorph bundle. 2 Apex mounts (durzog and horse) and 2 legendary mounts. Along with both motifs. That's my crate rng for the year.
great video thank you!
Yeah that got me... I spend around $300 on crates and no mount... I had enough with gems to get the mount...
That morph was garenteed with the 25 crates...
You literally spent nearly $100 on something without doing the BARE MINIMUM of research?
And people wonder why this game is a cash shop with a casual MMO attached.
You people are incompetent.

@@ethanward3912 I know. I even said as much. I just didn't pay attention to that when I was buying the crate bundle. But thanks for the extra...
Very interesting and nice Video.
For your Information -> I got round about 1600+ Gems after the 145 Crates. (Selling the trash, duplicates)
damn that's a lot! hopefully you bought something good with them
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa At the Moment i keep them. I got the Radiant Mount i wanted. :D
Great video and I think that music is from fable.
After the bear, bought the durzog with gems. That’s the expensive part.
Good luck if you are still buying crates,
That said, over about 50 crates i've gotten maybe 2 xp scrolls, the rest have been poisons, potions or mimic stones.....I prefer to try to save endevour seals instead.....i can purchase what i want without the b.s. of chance.
Those drop crates are exceptionally shitty in my experience.
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa In the end it just comes down to ZOS is extremely skilled in taking people's money.
“I’d be sooo pissed off” Yh that is me,me is that… finally brought the 2500 mount buy opening so many packs that I accumulated enough gems.started at 100 crown gems so Yh my bank hates me now.
Thanks for the data. Crown gems apex mount for 400-500 gems is what i would only go for
I understand the game will not get rid of the crates, so at least you brought up some things that could at least improve them, such as remove the fixed rewards such as the scrolls from all the tiers but the green one, I guess.
They even have a current 25% off deal for crowns right now after people bought I'm not rebuying crowns to get moar crates now that crowns are on sale
dont give zenimax money. they dont care about us.
I’ve spent at least 9k over the last 6-7 years on crates. I have approx 17-18 radiant apex’s with 9k spent. So average about $500 per radiant.
can i ask you why you have spent so much money?
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa i spent that much over 6-7 years so it didn’t seem like that much at first until you add it up. I enjoy the game and wanted to get the exclusive mounts for my collection. Also I make decent money so it didn’t affect my lifestyle. I have a friend in my guild that has every radiant apex ever released. I can only imagine the amount he’s spent.
ah that makes sense then! just interesting that you have kinda kept track of how much you have spent over the years. i'm sure most people don't
So sad that my favorite game has such shady & predatory systems in it. FML.
I’m an idiot. 190 crates. I had to use the gems to buy the radiant apex mount.
Yikes, I am sorry to hear bro, but better times are coming!
I was given the crab before I even went and bought crown crates! Why do they want us all to have one?

148 boxes this season for all 3 super apex mounts but different is 500-810 was my baddes move (only buy crowns with gold) maximum in a season off all 810 boxes to get all, old times before need gems for super apex
Yeah 100% never buying crates in this game smh, seriously not surprised some regions dont even allow their players to buy them
The math is wrong on the endeavors. You can do three daily endeavors usually 10 each which would put you at over 400 weekly. Still not enough but just being accurate
Oh shit you are right, I forgot you can get 3 a day 😭
Luckily, I never enjoy gambling and I dont care about shiny mounts.
Seals of endeavour to get a pet or costume here and there is plenty for my style :)

Yesterday i bought 42k crowns and spent 30k crowns 90 crates and so far i got 3 apexs 4 normal or common mounts which are ugly af and 1 blood rage skin 2 special customizations 4 housing furnishing and 3 crowns motifs too bad cant sell them becuz i got duplicates and at the end of the crates i turned trash items into gems and so far i can say i got 1.6k gems from 90 crates from duplicates and trash items into gems but i still feel bad for droppin 200 dollar on a fuckin mount
if its 98% chance for common wat ppl get if they get 2% left
I said fuck it ages ago and started buying crowns from other sources. getting something like... Ossa Accentium was around $11, i think. Sure as hellbeats paying $40+.
What is the outfit style in the thumbnail?
the chest piece is the scorianite chest, and the legs are House Dufort Banneret greaves! can't remember the rest off the top of my head
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa awesome thank you very much!:]
Opened 44 crates and no Radiant. I’m done with crates now
If I spend 50$ to get 50 crates I should get an apex to drop but nooooo
Crates are rigged. I got way too many dupes and xp scrolls. Not even 1 freaking mount. They have lowered the drop rate for sure!! Not going to buy a single one anymore.
Every week you should get 1000 endeavors but sadly you don't.
You will end up spending 300 or more to increase your chances
I’m done buying boxes
You don't get to complain about the game, you spend money on gambling crates that is a detriment to it.
🤡
I got a bundle to get the polymorph and it was almost all trash. Never again
You deserved exactly what you got.
🤡
😊
So just buy more crown crates. You’ll eventually get duplicate radiant apex rewards 😂
Sadly this video falls for almost every pitfall of probability related math (that btw poeple - even expert mathematicians struggle a lot with). Ultimately the sample sizes in this video are way way way too low for any of this data to be usefull.
