Best Ace Combat in franchise history. Dogfight mode is awesome.
The previous Ace Combat games shit on this. They were better in every conceivable way save for graphics, but graphics are just a product of the times. Flight physics, gameplay, the number of missiles you got (No plane can carry 80 sidewinders, but it was balanced back then and worked just fine anyway), and most of all, by LIGHTYEARS, the stories. I've only played maybe 5 games whose characters have remained with me distinctly after a decade, from their voices, to their faces, and their personalities and what happened to them, and Ace Combat 4, 5, and Zero all fall in that category. Each of them is something special, truly. From 4's quiet, pensive story about a child who befriends the enemy squadron based in his hometown, to 5's soaring epic about rookies who become legends, to Zero's interview format through which the story of the main character is told, all of the games had profoundly excellent stories and one common theme they shared was that they set in AC's alternate universe, and they were anti-war.
They were about elegance, grace, and beauty that can be found in everything and how peace should be protected. AH was just some propagandistic Michael Bay bullshit, and a punch in the face to every Ace Combat fan who's been playing the games for over a decade.

I remember myself playing Ace Combat in PSX when I was a kid. Good old times
Still I don't get why everyone keeps arguing, considering this game a sim - it's a damn ARCADE, and that's how it's meant to be played. I'm not too much into sims, but I must confess I enjoyed this one actually. The only thing I complain about is narration and the cinematics, wich are done rather poorly. Helicopter part isn't that good also.
the ace combat fanbase is way too specific to like this kind of game. they should have released as a spin off from the start. I remember some of the creators trying to preach that this would be the new kind of product they would release. Well, didn't work out, it seems.
Just look at how those planes fly. Looks so real, cough cough.

Hi,Im new to air combat games and have a few questions b4 i buy a pc joystick.which joystick is compatible with the game on a pc/laptop.i want to play this on my laptop,how is logitech attack 3d.Im confused about this one after reading mixed reviews on the net.sum praised it,others complain it doesnt have a twist motion.what for is it used in flight simulation ,and what are the cons if i have a joystick without a twist motion?Thnks ,eagerly waiting to hear from you.

Thanks, I find out what my problem was. I'm not sure if this game has some kind of gestures controls but it was detecting my webcam as a controller. I just disconnected it from my PC and problem solved. By the way nice channel. I'm subscribing ^^

played this one. My favorite has and will still be AC6:Fires of Liberation. If they didnt put dog fight mode in this one and kept it with as good physics i would've been sold. It's 2015, when are they going to remake an AC7 with a great story like AC6?
+zarzanator AC0 will always be number one for me, but 6 is a close second. I hope one day 'll get an MC with non-cheesy lines.

I say the story plot is quite satisfying as well for the supporting characters, but the gameplay felted a bit forced on with the Dog fight mode. Compared to Ace combat prequels this may drop the ball for some hardcore fans, but if you can get used to the playstyle its quite a nice game.
I had the same problem with Dead Space 2, what I did was completely disconnect the controller (ps3 controller and joystick). It worked, but of course playing an air combat game with a controller and joystick is so much more fun.

I was on an ace combat forum and there was a lot of people hating on it because of the story and the pictures. That is the reason I think that a good amount of people disliked it, I may be wrong, I have not looked at the sell stats, I know that I loved it, and I think the story and pictures made the game.
I play it on my PC and its nice but I have a problem - no voices wtf I have audio and music ingame but I cant hear the voices I only read the subtitles ;( please someone can you help me ?

I just bought this game on Steam (PC) and when I launch it, I'm using a xbox 360 controller, the menu goes crazy. It keeps on scrolling up and I can't select anything. I tried to lauch it without the xbox controller, only using mouse and keyboard and the same happens. Has anyone experience this problem as well? If so, were you able to fix it? How? Thanks in advance.

Нет . Есть миссии на верталётах Апач, есть миссии за стрелка пулемёта на блек хоуке. Есть Ас130, есть бомбёжка на стелс истрибителях. Там много чего есть. Дико крутая игра, всячески советую.

This game was actually fun I like the Ace Combat Series along with the H.A.W.X. series the narration in this game was very annoying but once you get past that the game play was really fun and got really challenging toward the end. Some people whine about this game but it is a hell of A LOT better then the new futuristic crap COD GAMES. That is sad watching that franchise going to crap. I own all of them but BO III and after MW3 it all started falling apart. I think Zombies is the only thing selling that game now. As far as fighter plane games I would love to see more come out. We are past due for one. Also I would like to see an actual simulator where you could chose how you want to fly and what aircraft Like Microsoft Flight Sim 10 the modern day consoles would be able to handle that.
This game was not optimized for PC, so it would make sense that the graphics would be close to a console.But having a good card eliminates that, plus even on low settings it would still look better than console.
