Tempo Next % was best training shoe Nike have had recently. Loved mine and put many miles in them. I had the Zoomfly 3 which i quite like during Lockdown so over 4 years ago !! Honesty is the best policy for reviews and remember everyone is different so you can only go on what you feel. Enjoyed this Cole and would be happy to watch more shoe reviews from you 😀
I was totally gutted when they stopped selling the Tempo next %. I’m waiting for my Z F 6 to arrive. I haven’t changed my shoes for a while so let’s see.
I'm always raving about the tempo next %! Absolutely loved mine.. I still have 2 pairs that I haven't worn yet wen I knew they were getting hard to get hold of... Ill be gutted when they're done
Takumi Sen is way too aggressive for an everyday shoe, like the Zoom Fly is designed to be. The Boston 12 is good, but it's firmer and not as... fun. So subjective. Everyone is different. To me, the Zoom Fly 6 is one of the best uptempo, everyday trainers out there... and I've got 13 shoes in rotation for reference.
I find the Takumi Sen 10 to be a very laid back and comfortable shoe, until you start pushing the pace, and it completely changes character. I'm not about to use it for every day, but it would totally do the job for me. It's way more friendly than the firm/rigid Boston 12.
I appreciate this because I was going between this and the streakfly as my tempo shoe (I am a big Nike fan here) btw for daily trainers I highly recommend the Vomero 17, they are easily my favorite running shoe, great video
Appreciate the review, I've never really considered the Zoom Fly since it's always been a heavy shoe, it's now a bit lighter but still seem a bit heavy for its intended use. I really miss the Tempo Next% which was a great shoe, I now train tempo runs in a pair of older Vaporflys.
The colorway roll out has been interesting. It seems like EU has only gotten black/white like yours, where US is getting the Kipchoge colorway first. And some areas the white/pink/purple
I think fit often plays a big part in this. My pair is showing up in a couple days. I will be deciding between these and my Puma DN2 to use for my upcoming marathon. The Pumas are great and the midsole held up on my last 15 miler but they fit so narrow that Im really worried about taking them up to the full. These Nikes are wider and my Nike Zegama 2s trail shoes just fit me so much better than the Pumas. Im hoping the Zoomflys have a similar all day comfort fit. Im also only running 5:00min/km or 8:00min/mile for my marathon pace. So we will see I suppose. Thanks for the review, very well put together and clearly articulated your experience.
Thanks Cole. I was going to get these for Christmas, but now Nike only have the Kipchoge version, which I don't really want. Never has a plated shoe. Perhaps I will get adios pro 3.
Brav, u should've wait for few weeks for new colours to drop. Is zoomx that bad? It supposed to be the best of the best isn't it? I really want a pair but can't afford it. Waiting for Christmas sale. Hopefully I might be able to get a pair for cheap price lol 😆 Good video mate
Ah interesting Cole. Funny sometimes how shoes can be loved by some and meh at best for others. I held back on these as found the 3 and 5 to be heavy bricks but FOMO took over and ordered the Kipchoge colour way one and at least was able to use a £20 off code I had. I now have my doubts again.
Thanks Tim, I do love the kipchoge Colourway but I’ll be honest I sent these back to Nike. Can’t justify £155 on a shoe to be mediocre when there’s so many good options out there! Hope you are well!
@ out of interest did they accept them back ok ? Agree no point in spending that much on something that is not working for you. I should be able to try mine from tomorrow. In a way am thinking what are these really going to offer over say one of my older Vaporflys but guess will soon find out and with a bit of an Achilles at the moment need to see if they help that or make it worse.
They’ve always accepted my returns so far but i guess it would also depend on how many items you’ve returned in succession! Guess they wouldn’t like influencers buying and then sending back every model purely for a review but I know you don’t do that!
They’re completely different shoes, novablast 5 will be more of a mileage/daily trainer. Based on the previous iterations I reckon the novablast is a good shout!
Other reviewers have said unstable heel. Nike is usually good for heelstrikers, here that missing back part, Alphafly style, makes me doubt it. I would say Puma deviate (I have the 2) and Sauc. Speed 3/4 would be better for heelstrike. Asics in general, too. I do not like Adidas lateral heel bewel.
Thought this vid was for shock factor cause of the amount of reviews from others. Got them about a month ago. Nothing special. Sold them on vinted. I really wonder if they would be loved in the same way if they didnt have a nike tick lol 🤔
Nice review! Definitely just by looking at them after your review I'm a little woried about two main things: longevity and heel support. But overall seems nice addition to the roaster. Good pricing also. I think Nike learned some lesson.
Don't be so hard on yourself. Your review is one of the best I've seen recently. Detailed, performance focused and definitely unbiased
I appreciate that! Thanks a lot :)
I was thinkin ghe same. Everybody praises this shoe because its so much better than 5. Thanks for your honesty!

What do we reckon? Rate ✅ or hate ❌?
The best reviews are the honest type, and that is what you gave.
Thank you kind sir!

Glad I could help!

The Kipchoge series does look amazing though. This feels like it would be a good longer distance with pace shoe for me

Good video mate
GOod vid!... but how about compare to magic speed 4?
Never tried them I’m afraid!
Is it ok for a mid and frontfoot striker but with a litle overweight (85 kg) 😅 ...? Thanks
I don’t see why not!!

@ yes they did!
@ ah good because the Nike returns policy sort of now reads as if have to be unused.

Great review thanks
Adidas Adizero Boston 12 is my favorite running shoe .The more I run in it the better it gets.
Likewise!!
I have a box fresh pair of those Flyknit shoes in that colour way at 0:43 😎 Will probably pick up a pair of the 6 at some point.
Jealous!!!!
Don't know whether to get these or wait for the Novablast 5's 🤔

@ColeRunning Never owned any of the previous Novablast's, but with the new midsole foam in the v5 I think I'm gonna have to pick them up 👌🏻
Cheers Cole. I don't like max stack clunky shoes, much prefer medium stacks. This one looks way too much
It’s not too big but feels quite boat-like when actually on foot
Did you size up at all for these?
they fit true to size for me, maybe a tad smaller than normal shoes but not noticeably
No true to size :)
Any good for heel strikers?

@@olli-perttikojo4424 Thank you very much! Really appreciate the help

Boston 12 😊
you running with hard surface shoe on trail? you hardcore...
Not really it's plated and has good grip.
Bit of both, tarmac & trail :)
Zoom fly 5 was an amazing shoe……Nike haters are just plain annoying
Nike haters? lol I just didn’t like the shoes, Vaporfly are amazing. Enjoyed the Tempo Next% also.
Nike has SEVERAL good training shoes…….
