You're definitely spot on with actual pace vs perceived effort. I was surprised at a lot of my splits today on my 21.1km run - felt very comfortable, smooth and steady the entire run, and hit 21.1km in sub 1:20. In the process of purchasing three new shoes (purchased the Novablast 5, Zoom Fly 6 and was going to replace my Endorphin Speed 4), but I'm thinking of skipping the Endorphin Speed replacement to get a second pair of Zoom Fly 6's. Definitely my favourite shoe purchase of 2024!
My only negative is the lace quality. Feels nice on feet but only used it for a couple of tempo sessions so far. I want to try it for a longer, slower run to see how it feels then. Tempted to get the Novablast 5 as well, oh and the Evo SL and Pro 4 when they release 😂
Yeeees! I only have 14 miles in mine but they're my favorite🩷! I'm glad I took a chance on them without being able to try them on. I've spent most of this year in my Mizuno Neo Vista's, Superblast 2's & AlphaFly 3's for race day. All 3 easily the best shoes I've ever worn in their own ways. Until the Zoomfly 6's released. Lighter than the Mizuno's. Cheaper than the Superblast 2's. And bc of how responsive and cheap they are/not as stiff as the AF3's, I'd probably choose to wear them for race day as well! I'm definitely going to be getting another pair! The only thing I don't like are the laces. They're the only laces I have that seem to come undone no matter what.
I needed a half upgrade, for me too snug...i have mid-wide feet...and also i needed rhst extra room for my toes as I intend to use them for half and full marathons
I just did my first run in the Zoomfly 6. It felt great. What a perfect shoe for uptempo long runs. I'm not sure what's better this of the Superblast 2. I got in the same colorway because it's all they had left. I didn't like it at first. But I'm digging it now.
@Feanaro5503 I agree that he is. I subscribe to him as well and due to our differences in running ability and personal preferences, we sometimes disagree on shoes. I’m more similarly aligned with Emily. I do trust his integrity tho.
I added some 15 second sprints in to a run and the shoe really does fly. The shoe feels soft at slower paces but then some how firms up when going faster. Some kind of magic going on in that midsole. 😆 I still prefer the superblast 2 for longer slower runs but best shoe nike has made in years imo and that's including the arch killers and vapourfly.
Hi, great review! I want to buy new shoes, I'm considering nb sc elite v3 and nike zoom fly 6. are the sensations similar when running- (slow and fast)? Please help! 🙂🤗
Yeah big win for me too. I usually like Nike shoes but I did not like two previous versions (3 and 5) that I had at all. I think the difference for me is that it feels more like a beefed up Vaporfly than some rather heavy and clumpy something and nothing shoe that I found those previous versions to be. I have done a few interval sessions in the ZF6 and felt I was not losing too much over a proper race shoe and in training that is a good feeling for sure. Was good on some longish runs too. Maybe not an ideal easy pace shoe but not terrible. Arch support and pressure off my Achilles are both something I need at the moment and I felt there was a bit of the former but without like feeling it was propping up my arch as my arch support replacement insoles do and the flare out is good too for the Achilles. As such been wearing the ZF6 "as is".
For almost whole of 2024 I made fun of Nike running shoes, because they were...well, just mid and marketed so aggressively. And here we are, the end of 2024, and ZF6 are one of my favorite shoes of the year 😂
I think these will be my next pair of running shoes, but my local Dick’s still doesn’t have them. I want to try them on again in person and get my Rewards points if I buy them. Last month I was on vacation in NZ, and they had the Kipchoge colorway at the Nike Store in Wellington. They felt nice, but I didn’t want to pay NZ $300 and have to pack them in my suitcase.

Already ordered zoom fly 6 based on your review......love from India 🇮🇳

I agree with this! I bought 10 dollar grip laces ( like the style they sell on the alpha fly 3) and then I found the shoe was perfect
Many thanks for commenting about the archs. Very helpful!
Great review, local running store guys said they really love this one . Think it is a great value , possibly best value in store they said .
Loved your review of this shoe! I find myself wanting to reach for this shoe every run and I wanna grab a second pair I like them so much.

@Fullblown671 I hope you bought them from somewhere that has a good return policy bc those cost TOO MUCH MONEY to leave on the shelf and never use!
I agree with you. I love this shoe. I look forward to putting it on. It’s become my daily shoe.
Definitely getting these. Ben Parkes and Edd Bud said the same thing about running faster than what they thought they were running.
Yes I’ve felt the same, there’s a little free oace in them for sure. Very good shoe
@ hows the length? I heard at least two saying it runs a little short. Shorter than most nikes
@@nicklas6973 I’m a solid U.K. and have 2 pairs. My best fit is actually a U.K. 10.5 and length and width perfect! My me 100 1/2 size down.
I needed a half upgrade, for me too snug...i have mid-wide feet...and also i needed rhst extra room for my toes as I intend to use them for half and full marathons

SuperBlast is a much different shoe but another great one
You are the only reviewer to have a positive review of this shoe that I trust. Great review!
Edd Bud is trustworthy 👍

Out of interest who has given it a negative review regardless of their running ability ?
Thank you!
Ben parkes loves this shoe 👍

It's SR02 you were right. Also yes, previous zoom Flys were not great but this one is
I am intrigued. They look good. I am looking forward to Bondi 9, but this one caught my attention as well. Might have to check both out.
Thanks for the review i have a med to high arch im not wide but im thinking may have to pass. But happy Thanksgiving to all and hi ruby
Super trainer vibes 👌
HOLY the lady ZOOM 6 look pretty clean 😊

Thanks for the review, have a great holiday season!
You too!

Ugh I don’t need another pair of shoes, I don’t need another pair of shoes! May have to get on this one to replace my asics magic speed 4
Biggest surprise of the year
It’s my favorite shoe of 20/4.
Needed a Zoomfly pun counter 🤣
Is the zoom fly 6 true to size for you? What's yur take on the Asics Magic Speed 4?

When did you film this run footage just out in a tshirt? Here in Ohio it hasn't gotten out of the 20s the last week, it's been awful!
I got lucky like two weeks ago with the weather!
Shoe of the year imo. Second place not even close.
Pretty please, would you add the men's stats too during the run footage?
Yes I can do that
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Is it the same ZoomX as the one used in the AF, others beg to differ…
I have no idea, I just know it’s a version of zoomx
The zoom fly 1 remains the best zoom fly Nike ever produced
