Looking forward to seeing every single atoll now! You too seem more like happy tired folks over grumpy tired folks. Neither is probably good for decisions, but one is better than the other. Donate for a Dream
Well guys that would definitely qualify as a successful trial of your new motors and installation. Way to go. You need to treat yourselves to a big round of ice cream. Awesome as always. Peace
Hi guys, I just absolutely love your videos is having smiles on your face and you having a great old time together. You are such a wonderful couple I really grown to love and appreciate you both. Cliff from Australia
Mate! Thank you for following along on the adventure! It’s full of twists and turns but usually we can smile thru most of it. Perhaps the odd slip up when we haven’t had enough sleep tho. 😜 we really appreciate if you can spread the word for us too. We are closing in on 10k subscribers which is just wild and we hope to celebrate it with everyone soon.
Mind you you both have some big balls to sell everything and risk it all. I do not have that kind of bravery. Much respect to both of you. Next stop paradise, and I’m coming along via this iPad…. I get all the views and non of the sea bouncing round…lol
Brave/stupid…it’s a fine line 😂 but we are super happy with our choices and can’t trade these experiences for anything. Hope you enjoy following along for the ride at least.
I appreciate that you share the challenging parts of your experience. I enjoy the beautiful destinations and happy sailing but it wouldn't feel as real without the glimpses of sleep deprivation and rough conditions.
Thank you. We don’t usually have much to complain about but we really didn’t get our sleep pattern sorted on this passage for some reason so you got the grumpy side of us 😂 we are always trying to share it as it actually happened so hopefully this honest reaction wasn’t too annoying to sit thru.
I love how Bri’s “whinging” is like my best day. Definitely time to let loose the dock lines to this Midwest living and give some serious thought to life on the sea! Seriously, how hard can it be? (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA). Don’t kid yourself, these two are working their butts off making this look easy. Speaking of which, I think Iain has trimmed down recently just to make those fancy Red Seas shirts look good, which is working! Any chance your supplier friends would make tall for your oversized American friends?
A wise person once told us “you have to really love fixing things to love cruising”. I mean really love the process of working it out and then doing it…to then probably have to do it again in a weeks time anyway. 😂 Something tells me you guys are going to have a blast getting out on the water and finding adventure. As for Red Seas T-Shirts, did you know there is a store on our website? Plenty of merch and other useful things there to check out. We are constantly looking to add to it too. Let us know what you think would be good. www.red-seas.com/merchandise-store/
It’s a cool feature to have baked right into Zora at the helm. We find it’s handy when trying to find local stores or even just work out where to leave Linc the dink when we want to go to shore.
Question don’t your motors charge your house batteries after the top up start batteries? As you should be able to motor sail to charge you batteries. We use just one motor most of the time to top up batteries when need and we find its better to top them up daily than let them get lower. This is better for the battery’s. We use a BEP auto switch in line to chose when to change from start to house and around 1500 RPMs. I hope this helps.
Hey Mike, great question. So it all comes down to the fact that our house batteries are LifePO4. Basically, that means that we can’t connect our standard (internally regulated) alternators directly to the house bank. Well we can but there is a high likelihood that the alternators diods will burn out due to the high demand of the lithium. The alternators are connected to the starter batteries however as these are standard AGM. We have some DC to DC chargers in place to act as a safety between the two battery systems. Unfortunately they don’t really provide much of a charge to the house bank so it’s not been working great as a solution. Some day we will hopefully save up enough to invest in a fancy externally regulated alternator system which will be able to charge the LifePO4 and the AGMs but we may need a few more patrons before that dream can become a reality 😂
🙂
🤩
Don’t Change A Thing For Us. We Love Just Like You Are. Who Loves These Guys???? ❤❤❤
Man you are too kind. We will do our best to keep it as true to real life as possible.
Sunshine always makes things better
You can say that twice!
If that’s complaining you two are the happiest and most well adjusted complainers ever!
Great episode.
😜 well, we also have the power of the edit I suppose. We just had to find our rhythm again I guess.

Think you got that right. We are so ready for some R&R in a remote island paradise. 😂
Cheers guys! 😊
Some blue water for a change. Don’t worry, we have plenty more projects coming up. 😜
You have a nice arch on the back, look into a 400 watt wind gen, works all night and day to help the panels
Thanks! We built it ourselves back in St Martin. We keep looking at wind gens. Certainly interesting but I just wish they weren’t so noisy. 😂
Mooring becomes easy with a engine on both sides.
Absolutely! So much easier and the passes into the lagoons are slightly less terrifying too 😃
GREAT JOB !
Thanks. We are getting back in the groove now I think.

It sure does! The real challenge will be finding ice cream out here 😂
Also you guys have great music
Cheers! It’s one of the most fun parts of editing these episodes. We are always on the hunt for new musicians to celebrate too.
Standing waves 🫣
Yeah! Big 😨
Upwind sailing is always the worst. But you will land in paradise, and I will be behind a computer desk 😢
It’s coming. And we can’t wait for it!

I'm glad to see it's going well for both. Nice to see that you have such benefit from two engines.
Thank you very much! We are so happy to be back up to full power. 😃

At your moaniest you are both still a joy.
Ah thanks!
