It’s sick
So if I need to shoot 4k60fps will the monitor stop working or will it downscale to 1080p so I can continue monitoring ?
If I connect a generic web cam to the USB port on this monitor will it immediately show what the web cam is pointing at straight away ?? If not, what kind of portable monitor similar to this monitor can I get that accepts regular USB for connecting and display. Cheers.
maybe interesting to use the international referral links, can't use the referral for Dutch amazon for example
Good idea
Recently I bought this monitor, and I found out that it heats a lot on the left side. I took measurements and it turned out about 130 degrees Fahrenheit (55 degrees Celsius). I'm trying to figure out if this problem is specific to my monitor in particular, or if it is a feature that was not highlighted in the reviews.
Wow, that's hot. Mine doesn't have that problem :S I wonder if it's a one off problem.
I see there are 2 versions of Portkeys PT5 ➞ PT5 and PT5 II. The only difference I've seen in the product descriptions is PT5 II having 7w versus 6w. You know more ? Thx
I haven't tried the mkii, looks like you're right though
@@DamianBrown Yea I bought PT5 II, the difference is it has cooling heat sink holes on the housing ➞ the only difference really. However this b tch gets insanely HOT. It is super stable however never any problems despite burningly hot surface (almost can't touch this). You could literally fry eggs on it
Some quirks: the on off button seems to do nothing when using usb power.
The menu is only at both sides at the second menu screen. Some submenus require extra swiping (eg to get to color temperature and anamorphic compression)
Very fair observations, thanks!
How does the usb port work?
the website says "supports 5V type C input" but it doesn't have a USB-C connector. The manual is super not helpful either, though it mentions it could be powered by 5V.
I bought a type-a to type-a usb 3 cable, so will see if it works.
It can indeed be powered via the usb port with something like an iPhone charger.
Import Luts 🤜🤛
