Custom Vintage Air 3 Knob Control Panel for a 66 Chevelle

The old factory slide heater control is replaced by a slick billet 3 knob HVAC control from Vintage Air. The old mount, some fiberglass, body filler and bedliner does the trick.

I have the same setup in my '67, but not happy with the way the knobs point downward. I'd like to find a way to modify the panel to set the knobs straight or even slightly upward. Any thoughts?

You could recess the ABS plate at the top a little and use fiberglass/body filler to smooth it in and fill in the gaps on the top and sides.
