I bought the Ruby a month ago. Ended putting some lead weight at 11 and 3 position, which took it to 8.7 oz. And one overgrip ( I’m a tennis player first ). I like it a lot! I also own a PA Energy Pro and a Hudef Gen 2.
I put some tungsten tape on my Ruby too. It's kinda heavy but I still don't feel that slow playing with it. I still love it. It's my main paddle over the DBD. I still love the DBD though
I love my Ruby. Very good control with drops and overall placement. Blocks are effortless with a high percentage of them landing in the kitchen, unattackable. The high amount of spin is problematic for my opponents with my drive/drop shot. Just need to make sure to follow through fully. It is a little slow with back hand flicks and rolls. I use a size small hesacore grip. Weight is 8.6 oz
This was an AWESOME video. For your next video like this, it'd be great to have a single view comparison for the power, control, spin, sweetspot, and agility ratings for each paddle. That would help get a high level view of each paddle and enable viewers to make the best decision for what's right for them.
I really love the Black Diamond Infinity. It has the most amazing spin of any paddle I have tried, awesome touch/hand speed/maneuverability and yet great pop/power. For me it is very much the complete paddle
I went thru a set of 6.0 paddle, ie sapphire, DBD and Ruby, and as my skills improve to the 4.0 level, I think the Ruby with small amount of lead tape is my current choice.
I've never tried any of these paddles but I might end up buying the six zero ruby as it fits best my playing style. Thank you for this awesome reviews and by the way, you look very familiar. We must have met somewhere. Haha. New subscriber here.
Will let you know, just placed an order for a bag and a Ruby. Hoping it's quick and they have a US warehouse, otherwise would be better to just order from PBC or TP if not
Which paddle is your favorite?
DBD 14”
@@Justintime670 very solid

thats awesome. now there a thinner ruby which might be more your speed for the flicks and rolls. hesacore grips is a nice touch as well
Exact same for me too, I think I love all the shots except flicks, but then again I don't practice them enough either.
I think I liked the methodology the most. I appreciate the repeatability of these tests instead of the subjective methods of other reviewers
awesome thank you!

awesome
I have both the Ruby and the Black Diamond Power. Love both and I keep switching back and forth between the two.
awesome!
Thank you so much for the rare review of the DBD 14 mm with sweet spot evaluation and comparison against the DBD 16 mm.
Glad it was helpful! also thank you for subbing

yes tape can definitely change the way a paddle plays
I'm interested in upgrading from my first paddle (basic control) to a new paddle that offers more power. The search is exhausting and overwhelming.
Love the ruby. Wish it was lighter in the hands. 14mm Ruby here I come. Hope sweet spot is still generous.
ruby currently only in 16mm...
@@miroslodki2195 will just got a 14mm delivered to him from 6.0
@@miroslodki2195 Yes, we know. The 14mm is coming out soon.
yes will be cool to try the 14mm ruby version out
I would go for the Ruby due to the balance it brings
solid

Good choice! the best of 5 skinny singles is not settled yet... your defeat is immanent
Did not appreciate the add asking for money for the Harris campaign.
Anyone have any preference for the single Black Diamond over Ruby? I haven't been able to play with the the BD, but have been curious how it plays.
How can you give only 70 for spin again DBD that has almost 2,000 rpm? 😂
How Fast does sixzero ship? Same Day ?
