I own an original cross and I think that is an AMAZING platform for a short action. But I still think these are too hefty for the audience they're marketing to. I think a lot of the guys that will buy this walk a mile or two and casually backcountry hunt or hunt from the deer blind. I got a Springfield Waypoint (Not saying this is the back country mans gun) and complete and loaded its barely over 8lbs. This thing starts at 8.5lbs empty. That's a huge weight gain for really just the folding stock. I don't see many advantages here at its price point over some other more traditional setups. But I greatly look forward to in field testing results.
Nah. Maybe 5 years ago, but Rinella has sold out. Sig must have paid him handsomely so they could sell their tactical rifles to people that will see no benefit from them, and to top it off Sig couldn't even be bothered to make a left handed rifle before hiring probably the most famous left-handed hunting dude ever. Steve has said multiple times that he doesn't care about the specific guns so much. Him blabbering about this or that doo-hickey on these rifles is 100% Sig scripting for this commercial.
I wish there was a way to get Sig rifles in something like a pro shop version. I wanted the Cross in 7mmPRC but I want the longer hand guard like the magnum has and I wanted it in FDE while having the carbon fiber barrel.
Oh man. Well. …Hopefully a better than 3 moa barrel - unlike the countless originals. Sig zeros their barrels to 35 meters. ^ Before you buy one, read that again and then call them to confirm.
Hmm... Sig Sauer paying a LEFT HANDED SHOOTER to advertise their new gun that's only offered in right-handed configuration? What another awesome move from Sig Sauer! Really showing they care and are not just throwing money at a popular face to hock their tactical precision rifle to an audience of hunters...
@@Lykapodium they do on their website with the link in the description. The problem with people these days they want to put in any effort they want to be spoon-fed all of the information lol
It's not an all around rifle, but a unique purpose gun. Skeleton stocks are more easily caught on brush, external mags remove the balance point of carrying a rifle in a hunting situation. Hunting animals isn't the same as military use. This is a tactical rifle marketed very well. And unfortunately it will likely feed the desire for non skilled hunters to think they can kill animals at a 1000m, therefore resulting in more wounded game.
I don't understand why they put this stupid ass little handguard on it. Put the proper full-length handguard on it like the Cross-Magnum has so I can actually get a bipod and a sling swivel stud out at the front of the gun where they belong. I love my .308 Sig Cross, but I'd never by the Sawtooth because of that stupid handguard.
Too bad your gouging people with your prices since you acquired your military contracts. Normal Americans are struggling paying their bills and keeping their lights on, hey we want one of those too, but nooo you have to charge close to 3k for that rifle. I was lucky enough to snag my cross in a great deal for $1100. It’s just criminal to keep it out of reach of regular Americans. I know you’re making way more now that you have military millions maybe billions, but you gouge us because you just want more. There’s a word for that, greedy, or shitty take your pick.
@@Bigrig2020-c1d not poor, just not stupid. I spend my money on things that are actually worth the price, NVG’s, LAM’s and Land. Not a fucking thousand dollar rifle marked up by $1500 bucks just because that made it in magnum caliber when i already bought the cross in 308 and 6.5, and got them both for right at $1k for each. Like I said, Sig is overpricing their shit, and by more than double. Not poor, just not a complete moron with my money. That’s a quick way to become poor.
This dude has a hard-on for a gun that looks and shoots like EVERY other cross AR style rifle 🤦♂️🤦♂️ these things look hideous and have so much kick back because the gun doesn’t weigh anything to take the brunt of the shot…plus dude said NO info on shooting, muzzle velocity, barrel twist…like WE GET IT you get paid to have a hard-on for over priced garbage but, why waste 2mins and not truly promote the product??
As an owner of the orginal Cross, I'm really loving these new variants. Would still love to see a 223 version tho. 💯👌

cz adventure.
Rinella getting that Sig money 🤑
I looked at the sig magnum and bergara mg lite. I chose the bergara 300win mag. Hopefully, I made the right choice.
Steve Rinella is awesome. He doesn’t use stuff that doesn’t work.
For him
@@sqwk2559 omg how did I forget that…

If Steve is using it, does it mean that you are making a left hand version?
Nope. Steve is a sell out and Sig just wants gullible hunters to buy a $2,500+ tactical hunting rifle for no reason.
Nice
Hello Sig Sauer, will you offer your Cross line also in cal. 6,8 Western ?
So I can't find any shops in Colorado that can get ahold of the cross magnum. Now they have a new edition. Can we work on supply chain issues Sig?
Hey granite, how about your political demographics in Colorado?
@tommyasprion4394 hahaha.
Either way sig seems to be having supply issues.
WHAT IS IT CHAMBERED IN?!
300 PRC and 7mm PRC
Has Steve and the FirstLite crew not with Weatherby and Vortex anymore? They were using excessively Weatherby rifles and Vortex scopes.
Thanks for the good review 👍🏻

Anyone still watching in 2024?
Q's The Fix still wins.
Hard pass on the fix
🤤
How about the average Joe calibers of .308 and 6.5 Creed?
You mean.. like every single other version of the cross?
They already have a sig cross in those two calibers, they're releasing a Magnum version of that rifle.
That was less than informative. Nothing about calibers, mass, trigger pull weight etc... SIG, you gotta up your game on these videos seriously.
You could click on the link and do your own research. Maybe?
@@ModernCowboy78 nah, SIG should provide info
