Texas Monthly is a magazine that's shares everything and anything about Texas from the people, to events, and of course GREAT FOOD! Every 4 years they issue an edition of featuring the TOP 50 BBQ JOINTS IN TEXAS. This is definitely a fun job for the writers/editors of that edition. In today's video we are checking the #2 SPOT in TEXAS AKA the #1 SPOT in AUSTIN. It's a place just north of AUSTIN and it's called INTERSTELLAR BBQ. Aloha Michelle and Jose! Wow! Not into lamb but willing to taste it to see if it prepared right. Especially with the homemade tortilla! The beef rib and pork ribs omg! What a beautiful smoke ring. That salad looks so refreshing. I bet Id love it. I love cucumbers, onions and tomatoes together. ❤️
Aloha Misty!! Honestly for me (Michelle), lamb is not usually high on my list or on my list in general, unless its prepared well. The lamb in the taco was not gamey at all and the tortilla...just amazing! We will need to bring you some of our favorite handmade tortillas when we're back on the island. They're butter tortillas and they are ONO!! All the proteins overall were great and surprisingly...the salad was our favorite side dish. It definitely helped cut the fattiness from all the savory BBQ. Apologies for the late response but mahalo nui for your continued support. We definitely need to eat some Texas BBQ together whenever you're in the mainland!!

Hi Rod and Gem!! You definitely nailed it...amazing carnivore eats and the two desserts were a perfect way to top things off!! Of course the FREE BEER...who can say no to an offer like that!! When they were putting them in the ice chest (they were already chilled), the guy was telling everyone sorry that they only had 10 cases to offer!! That's 240 beers which we though was pretty a generous amount. We can't wait to see what you two think about the Texas BBQ spots in Hawai'i when you both are back in the fall!!
