I mean, as basic as piskel may be, it's admirable that nearly every single pixel artist started there, and how it's a free, ad free, online, and relatively good pixel art editor that's good for beginners.
@@Fairlii You're definitely right about that, I've been using Piskel so far, and I can definitely back you up on that, It is kind of a chore, luckily, I do enjoy the programming quite a bit, and will probably, definitely get Aseprite in the future. Probably near future, people have nothing bad to say about it it seems!
I've used both Aesprite and Piskel and whilst Aesprite is really good, I generally only use it when I need to use the tag feature to organize animations. I still use Piskel when I need to make something small or I will use Pyxel Edit (which is amazing) when I need to make a tileset.
I mainly use Pyxel Edit, mainly because it was the one I got first and I work well with it. It shares some of the features, but outlining is definitely way harder in Pyxel than in Aseprite. I was actually astounded at how easy it was in aseprite.
