Great video! Did you use single pole 20amp breaker? I only have room for single pole breaker in my panel. (no room for doubl breaker and everyone wants to use the double one)
If you mean the entire cover for the inside unit. You have to look at the middle section where air usually blows out. There will be a little square shape with a 🔒 sign I think. You have to push it in, then you should be able to pot off the cover using a flat screw driver.
I have a different unit but they're pretty much all the same I think there's two factories. On the 115 volt I just got a power cord to handle that much I got it a little beefier. I think I bought 12 ft it has the three prong plug and I just plug it into the wall. This is my second year with that it is awesome. Thinking of getting one of these for my next one on the other side of the house.

Did this unit also have a power cord coming out of the back of the indoor unit? My unit does and the manual only comes in a language I cannot read... Thanks
It came with a power cord that connects the indoor unit to the outdoor unit. That cord provide power to the indoor unit. That cord is also used for communication between the t2 units.
@talenteddad thank you for responding! I almost never get one when I post on a video haha. I went through all the other comments and found a video you suggested to watch. Turns out this specific style I have is so that the inside unit can supply the outdoor unit if needed, otherwise can do in reverse order and connect to 120v outside. Well see tomorrow when I attempt this install
@@talenteddad yeah the gray wire was hooked up to 120v and plugged into its dedicated plug inside to run both the outside unit and inside unit. Works great! Thanks for your video!
Thank you. I put the vacuum and other equipment in the description. Many other UA-camrs show how to do the vacuum. Next time I'll just include it in the video.
Did you have to buy the AC Refrigerant, or is it already in the AC Unit and you just use the pump you bought to circulate it? Sorry… new to all of this. Thanks
The unit come with refrigerant in it. The pump is used to take the air out. After that the refrigerant can be released. Some people don't use the pump. I not sure how bad it will affect the unit if the air is not pump out before releasing the refrigerant.

I am thinking about purchasing this same model. My house is about 900 sq ft. This will go in the living room right next to the kitchen. My question is, is 12,000 btu enough to cool my living room? It is an older home that has the afternoon sun hitting it so it gets pretty warm. Do you think I should go bigger? Also, was it hard to install and vacuum out lines etc.? Thanks!
Hey@@mayasc300 , I am still debating whether to go bigger or not. It's an old house with little insulation. The walls towards the sun gets really warm to the touch but the reason I was considering this is that it is a lower voltage so I don't have to upgrade the wiring. I am still undecided unfortunately.
It work really well. If the temperature drop below 15 degree it will run more because the colder it is outside the less heat it can find outside. If you are planning to get 1 make to get a unit with enough BTU to heat or cool the room
@@rhmn183 the link was for a vacuum pump, not a heat pump. The heat pump is built in the unit. A vacuum pump should be used to remove air from the lines before the refrigerant gas is released into those lines.
That would be great but the unit is installed on an inside wall between the kitchen and the dining room. It was easier to drain it in the laundry sink.
On the disconnect pull the disconnect T-Handle out and flip it over and put it in the lower slots.
I'm not sure what you mean?
The black handle can be flipped upside down. It will read OFF or ON
Correct. The disconnect is installed upside down. Pull the back handle out and flip it over.
Where did the inside wall unit plug at? Or was it connected to the outside unit only and then to the main
The interior unit get it's power from the outdoor unit via the wires the manufacture provided.
Great video!

Yes I use a single pole for that unit.
Why’s is Aux split air conditioner trips as soon as it is powered on ?
Not sure.
Where do I put the remote wire on the outside unit
How do you take off the head of the blower

I bought a mirage 12000 btu 115 v doni still have to add power from a braker besides just the main plug cord???
Legally the should be a breaker outside next to the mini split. But I also see people connect it straight to a breaker in the main panel.

Do you have the same brand that I installed? There are some brands that the power go to the indoor unit instead of the other unit.
Search "No HVAC contractor needed ductless mini split" on UA-cam. It should be the first video. I think that video will help you out.
@@talenteddad yes it's an aux. I'm thinking you're correct it's powered from inside...
Hi, thank you for your video. Where did you connect the gray wire that was on the inside unit that comes preinstalled?
It's power wires, I just don't know where I'm supposed to wire it up to
Looks like the gray wire goes to the "S" Spot. I think it's the communication wire.

No. You can get them at Lowes, Home Depot web or AUX Web

You need fuses in the disconnect handle to let current go through.
That's not a fused disconnect, all you have to do is pull the handle out and turn it over 180° and that will close the circuit
Why don't you leave the drain line outside right there and let it run under the fence. Anyways. Thanks for the video

There is nothing "mini" in there
It's just the name for it
