  • This video is about my mixed media painting process, including tips about how you can break loose and start experimenting to create expressive landscapes. I demonstrate how I do an abstract pour painting with watercolor and ink, as well as splashing, dipping, and moving the paint around on the paper with different tools.

Love the free and expressive work in your video today. Only just found it. It's what I need to do. My work is too controlled and tight. Thank you Sarah for great inspirational paintings. X

Makes complete sense!! Thank you for the frank conversation. Sounded like your speaking to the voice in my head that I don't even acknowledge. ❤️❤️

Hi! I'm late cause I'm watching all your videos with so much pleasure. I see nobody answered your question so, perhaps you already know those artists but two I really inspired by are Jeane Lurssen and Lois Davidson. Loose power ! Thank you for your beautiful work and sharing this. Laurence (France).

wow, Sarah, as always with you..., beautiul expressions of art. where do you sell your prints and can we get them delivered to here in the states? and on a side note..., I opened my gouache palette earlier and found mold in my Shinhan white only... it had been sitting the past week as I've been concentrating on world watercolor month but was suprised that in an airtight container that would happen, so buying some clove bud oil tomorrow thanks to your suggestion :)

Always inspired by your work and process! I tried to see what kind of inks you were using, but could not find them on your materials list. Can you share that information? Many thanks for great content!

Oh hmm...it's been a while! The color is watercolor, and I used black india ink plus white acrylic ink by Daler Rowney
