You know Mike, I'm looking at the background of your video and I really think you should clean your room cause quite frankly your room is messy and you know before you go around critiquing other peoples work and trying to fix up the world you should fix your room. You see you room is shrouded in to much chaos and when your surrounded by something like that for so long it really starts to have an effect on you psychologically, now you want a bit of chaos in your life, and I think your band and your music fulfills that need. But you need order to and you get that order by being more orderly and by surrounding yourself with order, but your surrounded by chaos, and you need to straighten yourself out otherwise without balance you cant save the hypothetical princess from the dragon and then your just lost and its such a damn shame.

Crimson and Clover. OVER, UNDER ,SIDEWAYS, DOWN,by the Yardbirds. DONT ASK ME WHAT I THINK OF YOU, very early CANNED HEAT. THE WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND. Has Peterson ever clarified whether the lyrics are meant to be taken at face value or meant to be an antagonistic voice representing the State or Society at large? If the context is, as he claims, Trudeau and the trucker protest, the latter makes a lot more sense with the 'You should be heading home/You could be on your own' line.

  • @2810vicki
    @2810vicki 2 роки тому +3

Sorry - this absolutely! applies to Trudeau. Here is my read on it. It is supposed to be dark. It is not about a childhood tragedy. JP did not sing in this song.
This is a song that was very directed at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after he enacted the Emergency Act because of the Trucker's Freedom Convoy. As you know JP, he is very careful with words so you know that every line means something, and every image means something. I had some fun trying to figure it out - here is my best effort - my thoughts only, and others may have different ideas.
    1. "Going Home" I believe refers to the House of Commons which has essentially not been sitting for two years, and then when the going gets rough, he is nowhere to be found. It is also a play on the "clean your room" theme.
    2. "I Don't Know Where to Turn" etc, indicates Trudeau's own state of mind in that he bit off more than he can chew, followed by the little girl with the palm up saying "stop" and think, before you make this worse.
    3. Opening image of little boy - the "boy king" representing Trudeau, followed by the intense gaze of the little girl, which I think just indicates all of us watching him. Peterson has mentioned several times, Trudeau is a man who has never grown up.
    4. The line, "but now you are on your own" indicating the support is rapidly falling away from him.
    5. I'm not sure about what appears to be a boy in the concentration camp except that perhaps that represents Canadians in their jail for the last two years.
    6. The image of the woman and the raven. Because JP is an intellectual and versed in the classics, I suspect the bird is a reference to Edgar Allen Poe's poem...when looking that up on Wikipedia, I see Poe chose a raven because he wanted a "non-reasoning creature who could talk." This would indeed be a clear dis to Trudeau. I'm not sure about the woman, except my own thoughts are perhaps the people behind the throne, smug, in control, indifferent to the people, and using Trudeau as a mouth piece.
    7. The closing image is obviously of early Russia, perhaps pre-revolution. I think that message is that is where Justin Trudeau is leading us.
On his youtube page, JP cites the collaboration between himself and a death metal band (I think death metal) called Skutch Tully. Again, I don't know if I'm correct in my interpretation, but I think I come fairly close.
Cheers, yours is the first reaction I've come across.

Maybe make shorter vids? 19 minutes is a waste of my time especially when I'm already 60 seconds in and you haven't gotten to the point of the video yet.

There are people with other auto-immune disorders that can’t drink a beer or eat a grilled cheese sandwich without shitting blood for a week afterwards. If someone is highly allergic to fruit, sugar, and alcohol, it isn’t a stretch that it could fuck up their sleep schedule for awhile if they consume it. He probably wasn’t totally wired in crackhead mode like people would assume, it was probably a combination of insomnia and sleep apnea and he got very little sleep. If I fall asleep with the TV on (TVs emit blue light that mimics daylight and hinders melatonin production essential for restful sleep) and am still wearing socks, I don’t count that as “sleep”, it’s a just a nap, albeit a longer one.

The lyrics also came off to me as a high school student trying too hard to make something "grown up". But again might be my biases. And the guitar solo also had a really muddy tone and I didn't feel like it fit the Pink Floyd aesthetic it seemed to go for.

How is cultural marxism a conspiracy? Believing that "marxists" have infiltrated all of academia to spread their "degenerate" ideals. And that all scientific consensuses are wrong. Is not a conspiracy to you?
It's literally a derivative of "cultural bolshevism", the nazi conspiracy theory that (jew) bolsheviks have infiltrated academia and hidden the true sciences !! (of race realism and "scientific" racism).
It's not "truth" that leads people to the far right, it's anti intellectual arguments and propaganda being promoted to people who face many issues in their personal life.
He does push people towards the alt right. I know because i was literally one of those people.
And many other people who have been online had been radicalised in about 2017. The anti sjw movement was spreading, and the more anti feminist content you watched the more far right content you were recommended (leading up to me watching actual neo nazi content).
There are literal studies about this that show, on platforms like youtube, twitter, tik tok. The more anti feminist, transphobic, homophobic content you watch, the more likely you are to be promoted extremist far right content, from jewish question videos to many other conspiracies.
Also, believing in gender roles is sexism.
Sexism: definition : prejudice or discrimination based on sex.
You are female therefore you belong in the kitchen, and at home.
Is that not prejudice and discrimination?
Being short and or ugly doesn't mean you can't get a girlfriend.
In fact many girls settle for guys who match their personality regardless of looks. Not only this has been shown in many studies, but it's also very easily observed. Just think at the last 10 weddings you have been. I bet you half, or maybe majority of them, the women were objectively more attractive than the men.
We've all seen many hot girls being with average guys, but never seen a hot guy being with average girls.....
This kinda destroys their whole worldview of "women only care about looks and money".
