As Mike said, it's different when the player who thinks he's hot shit asks a buddy to record his "epic guitar skills." It's the people who record beginners or good guitarists doing something different who deserve to have a camera stuffed in their face while playing an instrument.

They never buy anything, or even fake it like they are gonna buy something, and they just scratch up all of our gear. We ask them to turn it down and take it easy, but district managers don't like us kicking them out unless they cause actual harm to anybody, they say it's all about creating a vibe....a vibe of smelly hobos high AF pretending to be rockstars.
to me Lars on guitar has a bit of that..... "hey we're metallica and all that entails but ... still regular guys here" vibe to it. it humanizes them and I dont hate it

Guitarist at 19:48. I have one of these in my extended family. He’s competent and nothing more, but he thinks he is the best guitarist in the world. How I know this is that he spent a long time telling people that he had the world record for fastest guitar player years ago, playing 80 notes per second. This wowed everyone except me, a guitarist, as I know that is obviously impossible by quite some distance. The annoying thing is, he’s a show off and doesn’t know how badly he sucks, and I play MUCH better than him and really don’t mention to anyone I play guitar because I don’t want to have the obligatory “play something” moment where I don’t know any popular songs...
When I get the “Play something” demand I throw down Angel Of Death. It almost always leads to “You know any Stevie Ray Vaughan?” I just tell em “Nope”.

Peligro was a skilled jazz drummer, and some Dead Kennedys songs have a lot of odd time signatures. Also, The Minutemen. Second comment, and I have to say you're half right hen it comes to punk. There are a lot of people who join the scene and try to start punk bands because they simply want to be part of it. However, there's also a large number of people within the punk scene who really do care about the music they're making, many of the post-punk bands for instance, or Hank Williams 3. They're not the greatest at their instruments, but they do care about their music.
You know I consider myself an above average guitar player (21) years and I'm still terrified of turning the amp up at guitar centers haha, I think I'm more comfortable playing to 500-1000 people over 2-5 people lmao.
