  • First step is to learn how to use an AC manifold gauge. Know what pressure readings should be at on the low and high side.
Then you can charge using the yellow line.

always purge your hoses or you will introduce non-condensibles into the system. You should be recovering the charge, and vacuuming the system. If you charge as a liquid, by turning the tank up side down, you only charge on the HIGH side. The low port is the suction port and you should only charge as a vapor here or you risk slugging the compressor. Either way you must weigh the charge in or risk overcharging

Purge with freon tank upright FIRST to flush out air first before connecting to car then invert freon tank and connect to car... Then open valves. Purge for 2 seconds is good enough...

Any reason it won’t go above 55 psi both sides? As in it’s not sensing enough 134 and compressor isn’t on but for some reason it stops charging at 55 and like I said won’t turn on

Put a vacuum on the system using a pump then try charging it. If that doesn't work, check your pressure sensors. It could be sending a wrong signal to the HVAC control module for the compressor clutch engagement.
