Steph! I got a 3-tier Eugenia topiary and a star magnolia for 50% yesterday at Lowes. Stoped by after watching your videos showing the sales 🙂 They had so many beautiful plants 😍

I make a bee line for Lowe's clearance before I check out anything else. Most of their half dead plants can be brought back to life with some Miracle Grow.✨

I've pruned two red dahlia and one purple angelonia back to life, and they get lots of compliments. That's one reason I absolutely love Lowe's. I work a second job as a perennial shrub vendor at a big box competitor, and while I really like everyone who works there, Lowe's hands down has a much better selection and better pricing. Some of the things I find there I'd only ever seen at the local nursery and garden center I worked one summer, and I can tell they were grown with care and have been very well tended to since. I got the most beautiful asiatic lilies for $2, and I was amazed because they're perennials and still had blooms. My aunt has a beautiful garden that's been in need of an overhaul since my uncle passed and she's had to reprioritize a lot of home and lawn maintenance tasks, so I spruced her 10 year old ceramic porch planters up a bit and replaced her dying petunia baskets in ten minutes and for less than $20. After I found a few 4 ft hollyhocks with tons of blooms for $17/each, I'm strongly considering sticking with Lowe's even over my local nursery & garden centers. I know the families that own them and they're really good at what they do, but I was sold on Lowe's as soon as I saw hollyhock, zebrina mallow, and delphinium. Also Lowe's offers a warranty of sorts on regular priced and some clearance perennials, so that's definitely my go-to.

Also, I went to TSC yesterday and got a bobo hydrangea for $6!!!! Can you believe that price? It's was a 2 gallon size. It's dry but I pruned it and gave lots of water and love. Can't wait to see how it does next year!

I bought one each of the yellow and orange coneflowers last year on clearance. Think I paid $4 each. They came in beautifully this year.

I got that bell flower you showed on the clearance rack at Lowe’s due to your previous video to look at the clearance rack . Thank you I didn’t know they had a clearance rack until I saw your video.

I just got back from Lowe's and your video came on! I picked up 2 coneflowers that are just beautiful. I found a gallon size Heather on clearance that was hidden amongst the regular shrubs. I was super excited about that . Everything on the clearance rack by me were annuals- Deader than dead. Still a good trip, never unhappy at a garden center.

Always inspired when you take us along to the Lowes garden center tour. About a month ago I purchased the Proven Winners Summerific Perfect Storm Hibiscus (same as yours) and just this weekend one of the buds opened. So pretty. I'm already anticipating seeing the plant in full bloom. Thanks for this video, Steph 💚

Hi Steph, thank you for taking us along. Talking about ornamental grass in this video made me curious if you had an update on your blackhawks big bluestem. I just planted some recently based on a previous video of yours. Thank you so much!

Would love an update on that as well! Considering a few Blackhawks or even the Holy Smoke Big Bluestems for my patio border and I’m still on the fence at the moment. 🤔🌾 Would like to know if their spreading is hard to maintain/keep up with.

Hi there! I was disappointed to find it did not return for me this year. I had it planted over on my side of the house where we have some foundation plantings. Its a hilled area, and my best guess is that maybe the soil was too well draining and I didn't water it enough. Last year it was sparse in the center, I figured it needed dividing, but wanted to wait until this spring. When I got to it, it was already June, and it had never sprouted any growth. I hope to add one again in the future as I really loved the color of it.

My entire garden (less my roses ugh spent way too much at david austin lol) is clearance plants / free plants from random friends and family. As we say in dating "I can fix him!" I say to these crispy plants.....$6 for some bee balm? Yep. I can fix him!

The Japanese beetles are all over my roses and I am beside myself with what to do. It keeps blooming though, but the leaves look awful. As a novice gardener I look at them and feel like I have failed them😂

I have 3 ninebarks Steph. Little Devil that I planted last year which stays more upright and smaller, Tiny Wine which is actually quite large we planted about 5 years ago and last year another one I can't remember the exact name but it's black! Yes black! So beautiful with a backdrop of chartreuse foliage behind and around it. You should definitely get one! They are easy to grow. I don't do anything to them just water. (Biotone when originally planted).

Do you find the bunnies eat your coneflowers? They’re so pretty, but I don’t want them missing right after I buy them. Something ate a huchera, a foxglove, and the lily’s. I didn’t have much else, so that was pretty devastating.
