Love your videos! Thanks for the information. I am curious about the differences between the pro monitoring that the systems that offer no fee and fee options looks like. For instance, Eufy I think offers a 10 dollar a month monitoring service now, and I'm very curious how that compares to Blue/Ring/Lorex etc.
Great video content! Apologies for chiming in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Mahorrla Defence Wisdom Method (do a google search)? It is a great one of a kind guide for securing your home from danger minus the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate got cool success with it.
With Google nest of you pay monthly you can have Google run face scans through your nest cameras, so you can know when it's your mailman at the door, or someone taking your mail.
I don't like these monitoring plans. The reason I think it's a rip off there used to help and I get that idea. But offering the same plans exactly how come some are much more expensive than others...companies that is & also is it fair. When your reading about an amount of security devices they show you can have..and so you think yea that's just the right amount of surveillance I require/ need for my home. So you start ticking off what you want...and bang at the end...it says yes you can have that. But you have to also have like the most expensive monitoring plan with this.!
Thank you Gabe! That was by far the best overview! I’ve asked at BB and other places and no one could give information that actually answered my questions. I have Ring now but I’m sick of my cameras dying (even with solar panels) in Oct/Nov and not working again until spring. Not reliable. Now I’m replacing everything and will hardwire the exterior units. Thank you again!
Great information I am getting rid of Cove, I switched to Cove- Big Mistake. They use a 3rd party call center that only calls after they wait for you to call them , so their response time is 3-7 minutes on 23 arm tests. I had to send back 4 glass sensors because they do not work, they connect to the panel but do not pickup glass breakage. Do not go with Cove.
Good info on the video, thanks for putting this together. One note, I’d honestly take Ring off since they’re pretty much putting the basic functions around a paywall. I can’t even arm and disarm anymore without a plan (digitally at least, keypad can work). Really disgusting move on their part and I’m looking for a new system now.
No pricing. Thats what most consumers need to know. Very informative though. Actually battery operated is what I'm interested in a very limited income and in dire need of security system front door and back door entry. As well as sensors for my windows , Security camera basically 1 indoor or 1 that could be placed indoor to see outside. People have been known to rip down the ring doorbell
You pay a fee on all , the only free thing is live view n notifications. But it something happened n you want to watch it.you can’t, not even a snap shot on ring , u need to pay a feeee
@@wicholara8688 ty for the information. I've had several neighbors to have them and they only have them out for like about 4 months. I thought that some people would probably knock them down or whatever but they actually took them down themselves. I guess the monthly fees and such or just too expensive thanks again for your feedback I really appreciate it.
I want to have a tablet next to my front door that shows me all the camera views outside of the house especially the front porch. I want to be able to look at the tablet to see if I have a package instead of opening the door. I want to monitor it myself and be able to record it if I’m away or if there is an incident and if not just record over it. It this a possibility anyone know? TY
This was really helpful. Thanks! Audio alerts: I wonder which products feature a sound as a motion indicator deterrent. Thieves and fence-jumpers can be gone in a minute. I also can’t see most of my motion lights due to layout. ALSo: What is that amazing greet metallic paint behind you? Is that a door? I’d love to know!
Good job but easy to misunderstand. No fee system should mean that you purchase your product and you are not limited in use of it with greedy company policy that they force you a so callled plan, otherwise you are not able to store camera records to YOUR cloud. For example Dropbox or iCloud. Generally this should be not legal in the future. So, which brand makes this possible?
Is there an app that will (no fee) self monitor a Simon XT or XTI home security system? I am looking for a free app that will connect to my old simon xt home alarm system. Thanks.
Check out the reolink duo 2 (battery) with solar panel or the eufy s230 (I think that's the name, also was s40 in past) with built in solar. I was between choosing from the two
Does Lorex offer z wave control? Can you control your system from anywhere? Does it hook up through wifi. Not worried about cameras just alarm & z wave with an app no monthly fee
Hi I Ambroso, you can control the cameras from anywhere and depending on the camera, you can set it up through wifi. Some require direct connection to your NVR and from there you can view from anywhere, but there are many that work with Wifi directly. Yeah, no monthly fee.
@@davie2983because it doesn't work. It doesn't record when it should. I've had this system for 2 to 3 years now and I literally watch people walk in front of the camera and the camera not pick it up. It's junk

That's certainly one approach, but don't get fooled into thinking its more secure. Exterior power lines can be cut and without a backup battery in all your devices, traditional security comes with its own drawbacks,
I definitely do NOT recommend Eufy! They don't work! Been out of town for Christmas for the last 5 days. Neighbors have gone in and out of my house twice to check on some things for me and nothing was recorded! Nothing! They're useless worthless cameras. They take pretty videos though... when they feel like it. The reason I came here is to find something to replace this garbage with.

Great video!!! I just want to know if you need Wi-Fi for the cameras to operate
Yes. All wireless cams need access to a Wi-Fi connection.
Please let me know when Lorex has the ability to know the difference between a leaf and a human.

Are there wireless exterior cameras that also powered via wifi signal, so no need to recharge or replace batteries ?
You should invent this new technology
I think Nikola Tesla was working on wireless electricity ⚡️ before he died. Death ray tower sounded dangerous
Now in 2024 there are some outside cams that are solar powered
