The 'ei' sound in most Germanic languages is the long vowel sound 'i'.
It's technically Bil-shtyne, but honestly, I don't think anyone is checking.

@bcatz454 most people (especially americans) say it that way.
Bilstein is a German company though, so to follow in the german language ei=ie in english and ie=ei respectively.
Thus, "die" in german is pronounced "dee", or (more relative to the subject matter) "stein" is pronounced as "stine".

The rubber bellows offer no protection to the rod plunger. Like a CPU, a shock should have a dual or quad core, etc. This would allow extremely heavy loads.
We'll leave it to Ron Jeremy to decide which shock is better. Bilstein or Monroe.
This is the same concept Honda uses in their shocks.
