Speaking of sound effect , when i started playing dota i did not really have a main and i liked to shuffle my main all the time , one day they released the earthshaker arcana and its sound gets higher and the sound has more range across the map , depending on how many enemies are caught in the ult . at this moment i boosted my bp , got the arcana , and mained earthshaker for the sole reason of that sound design in his ultimate
Also notice that in league, game never tells you if your turret is under attack or not but they will tell you when it gets destroyed. It is just something that i noticed.

"An enemy has been slain" - like with the most "who gives a fuck, cuz I sure don't" tone of voice? In DotA 2 there's a lot more urgency and importance given to each event you're notified of and it actually makes you care and want to act upon it. League just doesn't feel engaging.

agree, dota item choice is limitless and sometimes very risky if u out of the meta. ive always play PA with khanda + revenant then rush rapier after revenant toggle change and before pro player ever use this item build in the tournament. my teammates call me idiot and call me useless, but in the end i carry the game as always. some build has alot more potential, thats why i always plays weird hero and build sometimes.

Player creative choice, I find other mobas so bland compared to DotA even tho I haven't played DotA for 5 years. Items diversify the strategy in DotA with its actives, in other mobas you're stuck to what stat benefits them most, DotA encourage the player to go outside and further the possibilities wherein other mobas you're stuck to a box filled with stats.
I love that in dota 2 you cant just surrender like in League of Legends, even those the game is going bad it gives you a chance for a comeback and ive won so many games because theres no surrender option
The problem about DOTA and any other TEAM matchmaking game is that in a game you get the greatest teammates that pick the right roster and you have a great game, and then the next game you're matched with a bunch of jerks or people who don't give a fuck about playing right and you have a terrible game, you can still win but 10 times harder, also the game aims to 50% winrate which sucks...
50% winrate is the matchmaking working as intended. Not because the game griefs you, but because it means you're in the right rank. More often than not you notice the griefers when they're in your team but not in the enemy team. When the reality is that in most games both teams play equally. So, if you want to go up in rank, you have to be the difference that pulls the balance to your side.

And if you check immortal players they are around 51-53% winrate, that's very little above 50%, and they say the same thing, and they are at the top of the ranks. I'm not complaining that I'm stuck at a rank, I just wanted fun games, and not stomps all the time.

What I like about dota is an ever evolving game. The sad thing about it is that with new players nowadays prefer easier moba to play. And the old community players are getting older no time in playing anymore. Like me got married and expecting a kid. My ryzen 5 16gb laptop cant handle dota 2 anymore. Our net cant also handle the game. There are also limited net cafes nowadays here in philippines. But what i like about dota is unique sets of heroes and designs. Unlike LOL and ML some champs have the same aesthetics.

Riot is so terrified of making a complex champion to balance and to maintain their ridiculous percentages on average that they avoid any risk of creating something great. Everything feels so bland and the same. There are no new strategies emerging or gameplay styles. It feels more like a mobile game or something designed just to grab your money. In Dota, I feel like I’m actually playing a video game. I’ve played League for far more years than I’m comfortable admitting.
In dota i can survive and win fight even with only 10hp left. But I can't do that in other MOBA. I need full hp in other MOBA to even consider joining team fight

You have those rose-tinted glasses glued to your face. HoN sound design was nowhere near close to Valve's (in this case: DotA 2). It was just louder, had more bass, and all voices had some sort of distortion or echo to'em. Not exactly the peak audio experience.

in Dota if a hero will get new set(skin) valve does not inflate the heroes stats unlike league, sets in dota look actually like what the hero does un like LOL every hero is magical like in fantasy books for teens all perfect just look at trundle. if a new hero get a skin they increase its stats to hell to sell the skin which predatory mobile games copy
man i hate monkey king in dota 2. at lvl 5, he get free 120 damage with ridiculous lifesteal for 4 attacks. if he use Q, that literally delete any paper support and he will healed to full health again.
