as someone who's started playing DOTA 3 months ago and sitting at Archon 4 I have to say maybe in higher elos they will contest it but in all my matches not 1 time have we ever contested a Roshan. It's the most annoying part to me as a League player. In League even in Iron they will contest every Dragon and every Baron. But in DOTA you just let them have it. I think it's mostly because the Aegis isn't near as strong as a Dragon or Baron buff in League. Aegis requires you to give up an entire inventory slot and only gives you a 2nd life. Which in most situations doesn't really do much since the first life is with only 5 items on the character who generally needs to carry your team. And most the time when they die the respawn timer from Aegis takes so long that the enemy is fighting without their main carry and has to be pushed back allowing you to just recollapse on the Aegis user when they respawn.

@@howlingwolf5213 your LoL is a different one then if everyone groups up for every dragon Also, the Aegis isnt just a second life: when used correctly, the Aegis carrier can force the enemy to waste their crucial teamfight spells. Keep in mind that DotA2 is way more punishing with CC, cooldown and manacost But yeah it is hard to group up for roshan and almost impossible to group up to contest enemy second roshan (most likely they are winning too). Any info you can use is mild compared to Roshan drops, and even if you manage a godlike clutch Roshan steal, it changes basically nothing. Less than nothing when compared to Baron and Ancient Dragon steals that can easily win a losing game

@@howlingwolf5213 ALSO dota players dont read shit so most players dont know what that random scream means (specially below legend and many play with music and no voice) When Scans were added, the patch notes clearly stated Scans didnt work on Rosh Pit. Two years later people were still scanning Rosh Pit and eventually Valve gave up and patched Scans to work in the Pit Still, I do love Rosh's scream because in professional games it summons hell

@@howlingwolf5213 well it's simply because in lower brackets A LOT of players not all but A LOT of players still don't understand power spikes, snowballing and what having an aegis brings to the table. It's probably because 1. They take roshan cause they have farmed items and have nothing else to do 2. The game is a bit stale cause both teams had enough time to farm for items 3. Someone on the team just suddenly remembered "oh there's roshan". It's never a definite or intentional objective in most games in the lower brackets that's why there is little contest around Roshan early to mid game or if a fight for Roshan happens it's typically because of the three reasons I mentioned.

You're definitely conditioned. Dota 2 has proper 3d graphics using Source 2 engine, everything is 3d, you can spin your camera almost any way you want to see it for yourself. And the game also has map skins and weather effects (but getting some of them is hard to impossible, thanks Valve). So you should give it a go, run a test lobby, press I on keyboard (I guess the default bind is I to get a third person camera) and take a look on things

If you wanna play dota I will say this. You will more then likely lose til he game clicks with you cause It is more about active items then passive ones. However I would say there is less of "Ooh, blank is fed gg" then LOL and not surrender at 20. That and heroes have more of a proper "themeing" the LOL..Like Mel's spell shield is activity a item in Dota 2. Basically, Dota 2 even on bad games is winnable unless your team picks like the worst possible things all around.

Definitely conditioning. DOTA 2 artstyle is more cartoonish, flashy and higher definition than League. In fact, I feel like League graphic is the most standout among MOBA. If you are familiar with DOTA 2 artstyle, you'll be more familiar with Smite and HOTS

The in-match graphics of league looks cartoonish to me 😂 and the overall animation looks robotic/monotone and "choreographed" if you get what I mean.. but anyway.. both games are good at their own ways.

While this is technically true, Roshan's auto attack bash has no cooldown, and there's always the chance for him to double stuns and kill anyone in the middle of an armlet toggle. That's why usually solo Roshan is only attempted by Ursa and Huskar with armlet, the former is explained by the video and the later has a safe time window thanks to his regeneration and the armlet toggle that will never kill him if done properly, as you pointed out. However, it is not advisable to try to armlet toggle Roshan with any other hero.

well no, huskar is already difficult to manage to solo roshan without dying. imagine without his massive regen you will certainly die due to unluck in most of your attempts

@ i was curious about that statement so i went ahead and tried it with cristal maiden, level 5 , armlet and power threads. After 3 failed attempts, i managed to do it, you just have to toggle in between each roshan attack so you can survive the double bash. (I did it minute 10). So my point still stands, you can solo rosh with any hero if you are skilled enough

@@cbbloveseverybody8111 i would lose my manners if a Crystal Maiden bought armlet and spent 10min trying to solo rosh at lvl5 in my games and even if successful, what a wasted aegis

Alot of carrys or mids can solo roshan with good dmg items and some lifesteal usually after min30

@ sure, but PA doesn't even need to do that, she can solo him on level 6, technically :P

@ not even ursa can lvl6 rosh. need at least lvl15 then pa i mean technically yes she could but it would waste so much time and high likelyhood of failing is just never worth it. huskar is probably better with armlet toggle its standart to do.
