I recently started greasing trucks full time but no one was able to show me a good example of the low brake indicator line in the shop. After watching your video I feel much more confident I can inspect the brakes accurately and efficiently, thanks guys!
Ok so the easiest way to check you’re breaks is to hit youre breaks very hard before leaving to make sure they work properly because the news showed a 8000 pound truck going down hill loosing his breaks and I bet he did not check them
Here is a more thorough explanation of that point: ua-cam.com/video/8HAmop-RWU0/v-deo.html But you are letting your auto slack adjusters adjust your brakes.
Thx for the vid, had to see this to check my self. My fellow drivers here at swift transportation seem to think the bad brake's you showed are okay to keep driving on. An will not report them. Leaving me to do it every time. which is getting annoying as I have to wait on almost every load when I find this. Better to get where I need safely then be an idiot adding to the swift vids for bonehead truckers .
You talking about the song at the beginning of the intro? You must not be American that's rascal flats they are a famous country group and that song is called life is a highway its actually a very good song. I mean in a way life is a highway.

Why don't they teach this at truck driving schools?? This is good unfo
This was the best video on all the things I was looking for
Thanks for putting example’s ! Really Informative good 👍🏽
It's very difficult for me to adjust breaks
Thank you for sharing!
demonstration of the penny behind the lip of the drum would have been awesome.
True, I guess I thought the penny was the visual aid. If you can see the penny then you are good, if you can't see it then your drum is worn out.
@@DDTruckDriver please make a video showing drum wear .
Good video
Thanks, subscribe for more good videos!
A penny to check a drum 😳😂. So if there is a lip you change it? Do you use a brake drum caliper? To measure proper mm?
