Druzy crystal resin coasters

Love them. Plus, I liked that they are different colors.
Love the coasters with a lip! Love how the sparkles and the druzy turned out! It's too bad about the mold. When you make your own molds, you get spoiled with the great quality! Everything else falls short! Now you'll have to make your own mold for coasters with a lip! So many thing things you teach in every video! Thank you, Julie! Take care and stay safe!!!
I enjoy the process too. I love when you build the excitement of unfolding and then turning them over. The excitement and expectations makes the moment. Don’t change a thing please because taking your time should be reaching how to love your work and appreciate the act of creating beautiful works of art.

Julie, when I use the Druzy I got from you I cover the Druzy in a fine cover of resin so all the divets are filled and wait a while and then turn them upside down into the coaster and that way there are far less bubbles.

@@amyhorzempa3465 don’t put a lot of resin on the Druzy, just enough to go into all the diverts.you still might get some bubbles but I found it was less.

I was told if you put stuck mold in freezer for a bit it comes right off. Worked for me!
This is my favorite coaster mold. I love that it keeps moisture inside the circle. I keep 2 by my beside one for my rings and bracelets that I take off every night and one for my drink. Thanks for your wonderful videos!

I just made this technique 3 days ago. It works beautifully. 💙💙 i did mine the way you said you could not. It was great because the rough druzy keeps your cup from sectioning to the otherwise flat surface. I made inserts the exact size of the inside rim. If you need pics let me know.

I understand what your doing. Have you ever thought of doing small agate like cast.. Using a clear resin with alcohol inks creating the rings then having your cast of a druzie in the middle. Your work is amazing

These are gorgeous! I like them in different colors!! My home is more casual than formal. My favorite(s) are the hreen & gold, with the red & blue a close second. 😊 I just love your personality and style of teaching these videos. It does encourages me to come back and watch more!

Neato! I would think the druzy side would be better to set a glass on so the sweat from the glass would be caught in the crevices. This would be a nice effect for pendants, too, maybe colored with mica powders?

Pretty! I had a "love" mold stick on me today :( I was able to salvage the piece but the mold got destroyed ... next time I'll try the heat gun!

Been using a mold release Castin Craft and haven't damaged any of my molds its so worth it spray them good always shake it up really good and wipe excess with a cotton ball let sit 30 min before had some rip or couldnt get the cast out of mold these molds are very thin Been making herb grinders and there the same thin molds and just a little heat gun no torch

I ruined a cheap mould by laying a Druze in it.Some how it’s suction warped it. We live and learn.🙄😉

Could you make a video on how you make your custom molds and inserts?
Mold release. Essential for cheap molds, helpful in others as well- especially intricate ones. You don't need to buy the commercial sprays, a tiny drop of mineral oil, worked around the mold, then wiped off is VERY helpful. Also, some makeup brushes work very well to sweep away glitter and things. Some are designed to not generate static electricity, so they can actually sweep things off of silicone. That's why those teeny eyelash glue brushes work so well, too.

Love the coasters, very creative idea, I use a BBQ lighter it has a lower heat flame and is not as hard on the molds especially the cheaper ones.
