    While I was at pouring over a cup I was listening/watching you last video. When it was over and was so pleased the algorithm gave me another of your videos. I was so excited to see you were making this beautiful purple bowl!! I hurried up to finish my project to start this one over. That was when I noticed it was a year ago! So having to leave this message to say regardless of WHEN I watch your work it is always amazing

    it's so pretty! also my weird tip; instead of having to heavily push it into the bowl, you could use your heat gun, not the big one but the small embossing one, you'd want gentle heat. It will make the piece softer and it should fall in the bowl mostly on its own with minimal pressure.

    I am new to Resin Art, however not new to arts and crafts! I’m a graphic designer/artist and when I stumbled upon a random TikTok w someone else doing Resin Art, it made me on a huge path towards watching a lot of your videos and I’m so in love with all of your work! And I love your personality as well which shows greatly through your Art! Such a huge fan here in Atlanta,Ga USA. I’d love to know if you have a video or any tips on the best starter kits to make coasters and trays! I’ve looked everywhere and it’s overwhelming! Lol… I swear watching your videos are very relaxing and motivational! Thank you so much for all of your content! 💚💚💚

I’m glad I found your videos because I am fascinated with the many designs and inspirations there are in your works. Its definitely inspired me to try creating these creative treasures myself. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next video . All the best to you and your family, and your pets.

    Very beautiful. Amazing work as always. As a nurse who also works with resin you should be wearing mask .. even if little sanding that dust goes to lungs. I also wear a chemical mask for VOC when pouring resin due to its toxic until fully cured. Nitrile gloves prevent chemical to go to skin. Latex doesn’t prevent chemicals only helps with mess.

    GORGEOUS! Everything you create is very beautiful. I am a bit worried, though. I notice that you never use a mask when pouring resin? Is it not a bit dangerous to breathe in the fumes of the resin?

    I love your videos and I think you’re an amazing artist, and you are able to re-create effects perfectly! But my concern is especially in this video where I can see your reflection the absence of PPE, there are no resins no matter what they claim that do not have harmful fumes that accumulate into your system! Eventually everyone does become allergic to resin, but usually it takes many many years, I learned the necessity of PPE the hard way! But even while it’s set but still curing it is still releasing fumes and at minimum a respirator and goggles to save your lungs, especially while filing breathing in any particles of resin is like breathing in little razor blades that never leave! You are so talented and your art is so gorgeous and I am so inspired and you have made this old dog try new tricks! But please protect yourself I know you have a ventilation system but your face is so close and it worries me so much! You’re on the other side of the planet, but I also get my paste from JR and almost all my favorite products! I am moved by how talented you are but I really want your safety to become a priority! I hope you do not consider this to be intrusive or rude it’s just some thing that I’m very passionate about! Love Erin

    Hi Julie!
    Absolutely wonderful and the colors are beautiful. I am new to resin and learn a lot from you and love your work. I have two questions and I hope you have time to answer them. I have learned that the resin and the hardener are mixed equally, how come when you mix them, A is usually twice as heavy as B? My second question is about protective masks. Do you wear a mask when working with resin?

    • @allisonwaller7556
      @allisonwaller7556 2 роки тому

      If it’s a 1 to 1 ratio you mix equal measures but one does weigh more than the other. Julie uses scales I use measuring cups if 1 to 1 . There is diff resins that you use 2 to 1 part also . As for masks il let her reply . I use craft resin an it advises u don’t need masks. I’m not having any problems but there is a lot of choice an diff resins out there x

    QUESTION: Isn't there a way to mark the center of the mold without it making a mark in the resin?
    this might sound stupid to ya by it makes sense to me lol... Couldn't u cut a notch out of the middle to make it specifically for the edge and have another that u kinda paint with the side to do the flat edge?
    ANOTHER QUESTION: Could u turn ur porcelain bowl upside down abs just lay mold n all over it so there's no risk of damage?

    Julie, just my thinking…., what about putting your resin piece on the outside of your bowl rather than the inside? I’m not sure, ‘thinking outside the box’ (bowl) teehee. There’s no pressure, just the natural draping effect.

    Since resin is like glass or ash in the lungs, it doesn't really matter how much or little it is, it's still bad. I prefer to think about all the 'little sanding' episodes all together and how much resin could get in my lungs from all those times I skip the mask. It can add up pretty quick, and then you end up with the same problems as other repeated-exposure people like coal miners. Lungs are VERY sensitive and what goes in, may not come out. Best to make sure it's just good stuff.
