Hi Julie, my name is Andrea, I live in Ireland and I’m very new to resin art, but I’ve been looking at some of your work and my gosh girl.....you blow me out of the water! Lol 😂 Your creations are simply amazing! Thank you so, so much for sharing your beautiful work with us, I love it and learn so much from you every time I look at one of your tutorials . I’m recovering from cancer and watching you create, is so therapeutic to me. Honestly your a tonic!! Your like a little resin angel 👼 sent from Heaven to teach us! Thank you and lots of love from Ireland 🇮🇪! ❌❌❤️❤️
The reason there was such a difference in color between the original single coaster you made and this set is because you started with your tint on the first one and then went to the paste. On these it was the opposite, you thought you picked up the tint but you, in fact, picked up the paste first. Iwas talking to you through the screen telling you that you grabbed the wrong one, I don't know why you couldn't hear me! LOL 😂 That's why the lighter blue (the tint) was on the inside. It was poured behind the other. BTW, they all turned out beautifully! I can't wait for the purple ones.... that's my favorite color! 💜🦚Peacock colors will be amazing!
These are just exquisite. The colors are amazing. The holder is just so different. These have to be the best of your creations. The way the colors went down the sides of the holder are so creative, you could not be able to do it yourself, the resin was just so creative. Love, love, love. 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰
This was a really great turn out! Another idea you could do for the holder is just put the clear in the sides up to the bottom level and let it set up some so the colors can’t run and then add your colors cus then it would just be like a coaster bottom and might get the full dragon scale effect on the bottom 😁
I've done similar it's all about weight of resin. So more mica/ink or heavier dye the more they react . I love this video . It's called perfection from imperfection.. which results in perfection. Art is in the eye on the beholder 😉👌👍😍
brilliant, weigh a finished product, wow!!i love that...its crazy how i over complicate things to avoid over complicating things.u made my morning,ty love!!
Julie, dont stress over the gold mica. For someone who doesn't know what mica is, this looks deliberate like I use gold leaf in my jewelry. And especially with your gold border. They are very pretty!
Because of you my lovely. I'm addicted to doing coasters. I LUUUUURRRRRVVVVE the way the colours fall down the side of the holder. Guess what everyone's getting for Christmas. :D Thank you Julie. You are a true inspiration. ;)
This coaster set is gorgeous! I watch your videos nearly every day. I always refer back to them when I do one of your projects. I have been working with the fantasy film but I am having problems getting mine to turn out like yours. Anyway, thank you so much for your tutorials. I am learning so much!
I just got this mold saturday. got them on my table ready to pour. thanks for the inspiration on what to do with them. yours turned out beautiful. mary
You are definitely a master piece in yourself.. I love your ability to just think about it and then create it… THANKS for always giving us a part of your imagination and creativity you are a genius ❤️
Reallly enjoyed this one set , I was as excited as you to see the finish result. Just a little suggestion, What about you put another golden line on the other side , like this can can use the coasters both ways.
I like the little bits of mica powder. Looks like gold flakes. I was so "keen" to see what the holder would look like, you were teasing the crap outta me. I kept saying, go, go take it off. LOL You ARE such a tease. Love this set, so very cool. Just think of all of the intentional "looks" you could do with it. Lovely, Julie!
The pattern on the coasters is so amazing! I love the colors. The coaster holder is even more amazing! I have never anything like that! Really beautiful!
Oh my gosh Julie. These are so beautiful. Love them all. That holder is so cool, very beautiful as well. Yes yes yes, blue and purple next or two different purples, yes?!! Please! 😊💕🤗♥
The holder is gorgeous!! The coasters are too but the holder is truly outstanding. Good job! I'm actually kind of glad to see your little bubbles on the edges - just where I get them too.
Oh yes. I forgot to say. I use grease proof paper between the coasters when I pack them. They can still be a bit sticky. I just drew round 1 coaster the width of the paper. ( 4 in a line ). Then folded the paper like a fan fold. Then cut them out. It really helps ;). & I played with the fake tattoos yesterday. I'll leave a comment on your vid. ;)
You can add a tiny blob of clear nail polish or gloss varnish to fill in those little air bubbles on the side. Then just cover it with the gold pen when it dries. Lovely color scheme 😍
Okay SUUUUPER LATE TO THE GAME ON THIS ☝️, but better Late than Never Right? Sooooo that tid bit of knowledge was just freakin Genius!!!! Weigh your finished product/project! EXCELLENT! These are the GR8est parts of your videos, when u hit us with that insider knowledge!
Also adding cork to the side you think is not great you make them better. But like these and many of mine the option to use either side us best. I use isopropanol for cleaning and a deburring tool for edges that are raised or sharp ..the resintist 😉👌👍😍😍😍
I loved the way the gold looked on the coaster holder and would not have covered it up with the gold leaf pen. But, I love the whole set! I am going to have to try them.
Since some add-ins may weigh more or less than the resin itself, it might be better to just go for volume and use water-displacement to measure how much you need. I'm sure someone knows how much total loss there is of volume during the curing process. Which is probably why you got a different weight after curing. They outgas during the curing process. Which is why there is shrinkage. Those particles are part of the pre-curing weight but not the post-curing weight. And volume. So you'll always have some loss. Btw, the light blue is actually your white mixing with one of the blues. Probably the tint. And I think the gold might have mixed in a bit too 'cuz I noticed some sparkle in there. Cool effect. I REALLY like the holder! It definitely looks like a crown or a throne! So awesome...I'm definitely going to want to try something like that myself. Oh wow! I had no idea about having to be quick getting the gold off or it's stuck! Ty for mentioning that this time. No one says it. Same with the acetone. No one ever says anything about it! How long do I need to wait for the resin to set before acetone is recommended? Do I just wait the recommended setting time on the resin, or the 30 days for full cure?
Can't wait to try this. Thank you 😂
the coaster holder is kind of the coolest for a dragon theme. It really brings the dragon part out.

The coasters holder turned out most amazing, what an enchanted forest! Love, love!

“I don’t know why you couldn’t hear me” haha!! That actually made me laugh out loud thanks 😂

Wow the coasters them selves are so pretty but the coaster holder is stunning.

The way the coaster holder turned out is incredible!!!

This is one of my favorite videos❣
I just tried to do my first dragon scale! 🤞
See what tomorrow brings.
26:46 I think the gold turned into the gorgeous metallic green in them by blending with the blue!💙
Love how the coloured resin pulled down the sides of the holder, the set is amazing
Absolutely beautiful!! My favourite part is the holder!! The deep blues and gorgeous greens are stunning. Also love how the clear has turned out!!! X
Julie, dont stress over the gold mica. For someone who doesn't know what mica is, this looks deliberate like I use gold leaf in my jewelry. And especially with your gold border. They are very pretty!
Wow they came out so nice and I love the holder. It's so different and almost misticle like a dragon.
Really love how these turned out. I especially love the holder. I have this exact set so I may be trying this myself.
L80
I don’t think I would’ve thought to weigh my piece to find the resin amount needed. Nice!!
Those are very pretty.
Because of you my lovely. I'm addicted to doing coasters. I LUUUUURRRRRVVVVE the way the colours fall down the side of the holder. Guess what everyone's getting for Christmas. :D Thank you Julie. You are a true inspiration. ;)
I love your color scheme! The blue and gold goes perfect together and the white gives it that wonderful accent.
