    Hey Julie....just had the coolest idea. 💡💡 If you could find a way to tweak your design so that the pieces "fit" together, sort of like a puzzle, then people could make them and then use them for tiling....like on a kitchen backsplash. How awesome would that be to make your own tiles and then install them. 😉😉

      @JC-xh8vu Рік тому +6

      😍 Yesss! I totally agree with you. That would be such a fantastic project to make. Oh. I can see myself redesigning my kitchen with the backslash. How lovely would that be.😍

    Julie, stir very briefly! No more than 60 seconds...less is best! Also, pre-color either part a or part b, OR dust the mold with chameleon, metallic, or mica powders. They work beautifully with PU resin!
    It's hard to get bubbles to stay in this stuff as it's so thin - huge plus! The PU comes in black, so you could even mix tiny amounts to make the veining, first, or make a full batch and pour onto the dusted mold!
    You can demold in about 10-15 minutes! Oh, these look so awesome, just plain! LOVE the filled-in look, too! 😍💕👍
    P.S. I *HAVE* to have this mold! 😍💕👍

      I agree I've used PU resin a few times. I botched the first couple batches because I mixed too long lol. But it is amazing resin

    Yes mix for 30 seconds & pour within 2 minutes. If you want to color it add the color to part A first then mix in part B mix quick & pour

    I use Amazing Casting Resin all the time and use them as appliqués onto furniture. I’ve actually never gotten bubbles. Let me add: if you want to apply it to a surface (example wood, metal, and or ceramic just heat it up a little bit with a heat gun and you can mold it to the surface. I use titebond glue.

    Love, Love, LOVE this! I'm so glad you experimented with the new resin. The glitter turned out beautifully. What a great idea for Christmas coasters using red, green & gold glitter! So glad you did this rather than another flower. Would like to see more of this type.

    I used this resin for a mold I made. Parts of the mold were very small and didn't get filled. One wasn't cured all the way, but came out of the mold a bit bendy, but cured after all. I only mixed for 15 seconds. Total working time is 2 minues. I only used alcohol to remove the piece. There are lots of possibilities with this. I wanted white so I could paint it with acrylic and seal. I'm going to remake my mold to make it 2 pieces that I can glue together.

    I read somewhere to not use a wooden stir stick because wood can trap moisture which can cause bobbles, IDK, I just recall reading that info.
    Paper mixing containers are also supposedly problematic.
    The manufacturer was not Let's Resin, but another poly manufacturer so this information may not apply.
