Is there anyone (anywhere in the world) working on alternatives to surgery? I have otosclerosis in my right ear and I want to join the military. The surgery is not a viable option for me.
What’s the difference doc with the endoscopic vs the microscopic surgical technique? And Stapedotomy vs Stapedectomy? I see the surgeon in September but not sure what else to ask outside of that? I currently get vertigo and especially when I turn my head to the right. Or when I do flip turns. I was diagnosed with bppv in the past but that was before we knew about the otosclerosis.
Bravo Dr Sperling. Keep up the great work you are doing. You are truly outstanding!!!

Oh and the material that’s used which is the best? I see a nickel and titanium mix, a titanium one, and some sort of plastic one (that doesn’t melt?)
