There are an infinite number of ways you can lose weight, some of them not healthy but actually a lot of different methods can be healthy. The major factor in how successful you will be at losing weight on whatever protocol you choose is IF YOU CAN STICK TO IT!! I have always been someone that went ALL IN to whatever diet I was doing, and I lost weight...but I could never stick with it long term and I gained it back. Even on carnivore I struggled when life came knocking and stressful situations arose. It wasn't until I shifted my mind completely and just started focusing on One Non-Negotiable thing did things start working for me long term. I get comments every day of "I just can't stick to it" or "I was doing so great but I fell off the wagon" or "How can I stop being tempted?" This video addresses all of that into one concept that has made all the difference for me. I hope it is helpful for you.

*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

Down 100 lbs in 5 months... granted I was huge (370) so the weight comes off quicker. I incorporated carnivore, OMAD, and 24/48/72 hour fasts and outside 2 occasions (on vacation with family) have remained 100% committed. Zero cheating and very little snacking (very rare but it has happened). Just do you, and stay committed!

I did carnivore last April and continued thru July I lost 30 lbs I fell off the wagon and have really struggled with getting back to it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Oh I started it cold turkey have never done keto or Paleo. Congratulations! How can you stick with OMAD. I would like to extend my intermediate fasting to a 24 hour fasting. I always feel hungry when it is supper time. I do in fact eat 2 large meals like 3 burger patties (cooked in their own fat), with two over easy eggs. Sometimes I include two strips of bacon or cold meats. The thing is I have reached a plateau in my weight loss and I still need to lose 100 pounds more.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Once again, Congratulations for your weight loss!

@@lisaeason6874 I had so many bowel problems on carnivore. I felt good, lost weight but either uncontrollable diarrhea or constipation that put me In the hospital. I went back to Keto, keep my calories at 1500 a day and added vegetables back. I'm doing OMAD, losing 2.5 pounds a week and feel great. No more bowel issues and feel I'm feeding my body better as an omnivore. I eat 8 oz of meat a day, the rest of the calories are vegetables and fat.

Love this concept. I’m going to implement it and it’s a similar concept. Carnivore is non-negotiable. It’s hard as a truck driver but I’ve been finding it easier to do by making a bunch of burger at home and reheating them and eating sausages and chicken. My condiments have been basically whittled down to salt, butter and hot sauce. I’m getting there. Your videos and posts help keep me motivated 😊

@@brojoe4919 When I asked about just getting the burgers, they are more expensive than the sandwiches. So I just get 2 double cheeseburgers and give the buns to the birds!!. The same thing happens with sausage patties in the morning! It's more than $2 per patty. So just get the sausage patty sandwich, with the English muffin, 2 of them. Then I give the English muffins away to street beggars or folks asking for money at red lights. One guy used to call me the apple pie lady when McD's was giving away free apple pies if you filled out the survey number. I would get the free apple pie and give it to the poor guy at the red light on the way to work!!

Most people will fall off because of all the junk food that's out there tempting them 24/7. I was a big donut, cake, pastry eater. In feb 2021 i went straight to carnivore. What a killer the sugar cravings were. When i had a craving, i would eat butter and chase it with some salt. At 6' and 240, i dropped to 190 in a couple of months. Today, at 71, i'm 188 after 30 months and i still don't eat any pastry. I drink coffee with monk and heavy cream, and recently added in an avocado for potassium. I weight train and look pretty good for my age. It's a tough road to stick to it sometimes. If you fall, so what? Just get back on it the next day. If i can do it, so can you. Great job on your part, Laura!

Been carnivore since Jan. 6, 2023. I was strict first 5 months, over the summer I fell off a little... consuming Häagen-Dazs ice cream and fruits. I seem to be okay eating pickles... but inflammation started flaring up again throughout my body. So this past week I have been hard core carnovore again! My face is clearing up!! I have lost 66lbs since I started on January. 👐👐

Shop only the outer perimeter of the store. Stay away from the center isles when you shop. That is where the processed foods and candy are located. Another way to avoid the sugar and junk foods is to shop online and pick up what you shopped for. Never go shopping when you are hungry.

Grocery pickup and delivery has saved me from myself more than a few times. I've been eating keto, then ketovore for a long time, so I don't have physical cravings, really. What I do have is mental memory cravings or habitual memory cravings. Even after 15+ years, I occasionally find myself adding snacks into my online cart. Before I check out, I do a ruthless purge. Saves my health and sanity and saves me financially, too. It's not just stuff I don't want to eat. It's also that I had a tendency to overbuy and then throw away food AKA money! The cart purge allows me to catch and stop that.

Excellent video🎉🎉. My # 1 non negotiable…Staying carnivore👏 I have been carnivore for over 5 years, 3 years before that I was ketovore. Have lost 125 pounds & have maintained this for about 7 years. I have struggled my entire life with weight (73 years old) and have lost 100 + pounds 3 other times, but carnivore is truly my salvation. I did add another non negotiable and that is…no artificial sweeteners as they triggered me to over eat keto treats. I too have times I over do cheese and at times eat more meat than needed, but…I always stay carnivore. Thank you for sharing your journey. Stay safe & well❣️

The way I started is that on January 20 of this year, I got a phone call from my doctor. She said I now had diabetes. I started my new lifestyle the second I hung up the phone. Six months later I was 75 pounds lighter and diabetes free. I also has lots of other conditions improved on including GERD, internal inflammation, skin rashes, blood pressure etc. I started with keto and slowly advanced to mostly carnivore. Absolutely no sugar or starch from the very beginning.

I’ve only been on a few weeks, but other than the occasional beer I have been able to resist even my favorite things. I truly believe it’s because I don’t even have one bite because if I do I know I’m screwed. Don’t get me wrong when out to eat with my whole family and they’re getting all my faves and I have a plain hamburger patty with some bacon, it was a little hell. But I know it’s starting because my clothes are getting looser and looser. I’m also desperate to actually get into ketosis. I check almost daily and it’s never as good as I think it should be. So right now I’m not taking a step back and ruining all the efforts I’ve made so far. I’m following you because what you said about being addicted. I always say I’m a sugar junkie, if I eat one bite of chocolate right now I will lose and I’m making this a personal goal and challenge to be in solid ketosis. Once I’m there I’ll need to find another goal. But one step at a time is the only hope I have.

Instead I say to myself..being carnivore feels so good you are building an incredible state of health and this (fill in the blank that is tempting you) will not get you there. I resonated with everything that you said. This is so true! Really good advice for those of us that are stuck to perfectionist ways where it must be doing all the things, or none of the things… Starting with one thing, maybe adding some others, but always having a nonnegotiable to fall back on and still feel successful... YES!

Hi Laura! 3 months ago my husband sent me one of your videos and our whole life changed for the better. Thank you so much! My one nonnegotiable had to be sugar. I was an addict. So, we've been carnivore for 3 months but I've been 2 weeks strict sugar free now and feel great!

Wow. I was expecting a cookie-cutter answer - I figured I had heard every mental method. But this makes a lot of sense to me. I too would try to stack way too many things into my life and inevitably fail. I am going to focus on just eating meat. No forced exercise or anything - just eat meat.

Loved this and really needed this today, Laura- thank you! 💫 my non negotiable is that I get to show up for myself. I tell myself that I get to do that. I then do the small baby steps. Some days I’m only giving 40% but if on those days you’re giving your absolute best, then you’re actually give 100% so yay for everyone who is showing up for themselves, no matter where you are on your journey, be proud of yourself and know that you deserve to show up for yourself.

Glad to see this video! I kept thinking I'd missed you somehow and checked once a day! LOL
I do want to tell you that for years I've watched people sponsored by LMNT and never felt compelled to order, partly because I need to supplement pretty heavily daily for a malabsorption condition and already eat a lot of salt. Your approach to your LMNT segments spoke to me, though, and made me consider it. When my a/c started going on the fritz (I'm in the Southeast so hot and humid) I decided I needed to order pronto as a way to economically supplement my supplementation.
I used your link (after hemming and hawing over whose link to use LOL) and I love it. I've actually ordered twice (got the grapefruit and HATED it so ordered Citrus after trying most of the flavors in the sample pack. I do think it's just enough extra to make a difference on super hot and sweaty days when the a/c just can't do its job. Here's hoping they get the part they need to fix it soon! It's been brutal!
BTW, I've noticed that it tastes saltier to me when I'm already pretty well hydrated and not very salty at all when I really need it! Just an observation. I like mine with about 24 Oz of water and sometimes only 16!
