Learn how to play "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac on acoustic guitar with fingerstyle. The video provides a step-by-step guide, including chord patterns and picking techniques.
🎸 Fingerstyle technique: The video focuses on teaching the Inside Out fingerpicking pattern, which is used throughout the song.
🎵 Chord progression: The song is played with a capo on the third fret and uses C major, G/B, and A minor 7 chords.
🎸 Thumb position: Keeping the thumb in front of the fingers helps achieve a cleaner sound and avoid a scratchy tone.
🎶 Slow play-through: The video provides a slow demonstration of the intro and verse to help learners practice and master the fingerstyle pattern.
🎵 Chorus breakdown: The chorus includes chord changes to G sus4, D over F, and E minor, with specific picking patterns for each chord.
🎸 Practice cycle: A specific section of the chorus is highlighted for focused practice to improve chord changes and picking accuracy.
🎶 Further learning: The video suggests exploring other songs that use the same fingerstyle pattern and offers additional fingerstyle courses for those interested.

Absolutely beautiful Andy 😊👍🏼 the internet seems to be awash with musicians telling us how ‘so and so’ played it etc etc…how boring and uninteresting. I would say don’t listen to these guys, twist it around to make it your own, if it sounds good it is good and be proud you’re able to do what you can do. Peace ✌🏼

it helps , use the banjo anchor , hook your pinky and ring finger on the high e . as you dont use the high e through the song unless you learn the solo. theres also an anchor for your hand ,the bone just above the wrist thats inline with the pinky, placed on the bridge, without muting any strings . its how buckingham plays it. these anchors helps you finger pick a lot easier,as your hand is not floating. the wrist anchor brings the picking closer to the bridge , which adds to the tone of landslide. good tutorial tho

Great lesson! I play this a lot, but I was missing the hammers-on and flick-offs. Thanks for fixing that for me! :)

Great lesson Andy!!! I usually keep a finger on the b string the whole time before the chorus. Is that ok?? I’ve seen other players do it. 😊😊😊

The real question is: How do we get enough distortion into this song and turn it into a piece of metal??
