This is why I asked what happened to properly prepping for something strength related. Dude goes from insane levels of leanness to wanting to hit crazy strength prs with little to no gap. He has a crazy physique and is one of the strongest human beings ever but he just can’t stick to something strength related. It’s always a crash course to his preps. Just cause you have the genetics to do something the wrong way doesn’t mean you shouldn’t approach it the right way and be safe.

Didn't watch yet but about to... I tore my hamstring about 3 weeks ago, bruised up but am all but recovered... As we age and get older our bodies lose resilience, I'm having to go less and less for PR's and more and more for longevity... Even if I'm having a phenomenal feeling day, pushing extra sets, going heavier, or even going for a reps PR can be injurious.
Of course I still want to strive to be strong and give things my all, but I do believe we get to the point where we have more strength than is usable, so sometimes it's best not to always just gun for things but to have a slow and steady progression... I am finally coming back to bench after an injury from a year ago which I restrained this summer.... So I'm keeping reps in reserve and not pushing the volume too much, just slow and steady jumps/increases from session to session. Still under where I was previously but still happy enough to be back in a good/decent strength range.
All the best in your recovery, I'm sure you already have access to all you need and more! Just gotta get smarter with age and not just go for it because your energy/mind says "yeah, lets go!!!!", I find that when I get fired up it's easy to push way further than what my body is really ready for.

i think larry should stop doing powerlifting at this point. Two factors regarding getting older: you get more injuries, and you recover slower. Can't be doing powerlifting / big lifts for fun anymore. For bodybuilding, Larry has enough strength to do bodybuilding-optimal weights for the next 25 years no problem.

Good to go light. Stretching and eccentrics will help the hamstring tissue. Please don’t load the hamstrings under stressful weights for a good 2-3 weeks minimum.
Movement with bands and light reps are key for not letting the hamstring muscle get too far behind performance wise. You must work the hamstring or else it will decline in performance but do not by any means go heavier if you have any aches , tightness, or soreness/tenderness in your injured area. Best of luck and I hope your hamstring heals the way it needs to so you can hit your squat numbers.
    Peace brother , one love

I injured my quad tendon in May last year and it wasn't until November-december that I got back to squatting. It really does get to your head but you just gotta look long term bc that stuff does heal eventually. You also gotta be patient and make time to heal your joints and rehab correctly bc if not it will just get worse or not heal

I fucking DESTROYEd my scaitic nerve im not sure the exact way how but i wasnt able to walk for like 5 months and it took forever to get back into squatting and deadlifting. im stronger now than i was before the injury just barely (thank the lord) but i feel for you man hope you can get better. Look into bpc 157 and especially tb500 healing peptides as for people with my exact injury came back in meer weeks instead of months. It can help rapidly speed that recovery process

Is Larry still doing only TRT? He is looking way bigger and kinda reminds me of his old physique before he stopped gear.
