      350lbs isn't that much. It's hard because of the circumference of the handle, it wants to roll out of the hands and without extremely large powerful hands you can't stop it from rolling. For an average guy using 2 hands if you have at least a 400lb (maybe less because you're just breaking ground not even deadlifting it) deadlift this is probably pretty easy to get off the floor, opposite facing hands counter-act the rolling, which makes hand strength less of a factor, and it's just using your posterior chain to get it off the ground.

      I think Brian should set it on a scale and try to lift it. That way he can see how close he is and also know the actual weight. If it's over 350lbs then shave some of it off. There's no need for it to be any heavier than that. haha

      *Individuality in culture is really being trampled and destroyed in America, and strongman is both about individuality, comradery and respect, so maybe one day Brian will build The Strongman Museum.* There's so much history there and so many names that have accumulated for centuries that it wouldn't be only of interest to athletes. *It's in fact a very significant part of our history as humans, and there's forms of it in virtually every culture on the planet.*
      Keeping that logo on it would certainly make sense if someone ever builds such a museum. Paul Anderson isn't the only legendary strongman that was deathly ill as a child, and lived onward to make the sport what it is today. If I am remembering correctly, Brian ended up with his plates. *Just a couple years ago, I got to hold the door open for Bill Kasmaier at the hardware store! lol* He tried to get to it first to hold it for me, but I recognized him and beat him to it lol.

      @@TobyFromGT How do you increase strength to lift that when you're already as big as you can get and can already lift 600lbs up stairs? Is it just grip training? I mean if I'm scrawny and don't work out, I can probably double my strength in that time, but Brian is already at close to peak form.
      I don't follow grip training etc so I'm just not aware of how much you can increase it. I'm guessing his ability to lift it isn't the question, it's more a question of holding on tight enough to keep it from spinning.

    • @TobyFromGT
      @TobyFromGT 7 місяців тому +3

      @wheelmanstan yes, grip strength is different than the strength you're thinking of. Grip strength is shown to get better with age and takes a longer time to decline, for example if you know who Mark Felix is, he is in his 50s and still is breaking records because of his grip strength
