@Throngdorr Mighty I used to as well. Problem with that is that at a certain point it's not very healthy for your bones and ligements anymore. I don't use knee sleeves and wrist wrap because I can lift more weight. I do it to protect my knees, wrist and spine and to have no problems later in life. Same goes for a belt which I use sometimes when going lower then 5 reps at RPE9+.

Meaning they most of the time are lighter than what it says on the plate. For example a 45lb plate would actually be 44lb if weighed on a scale. When using really heavy weights like Larry does (or anyone who lifts heavy) every lb/kg counts meaning even a 1lb or half a lb difference can be big. Example being the video of Larry pulling 900lbs fairly fast, but only goes on to pull a few lbs less in competition because its heavier than gym weights.

Obviously I'm not Larry, but a lot of coaches recommend just doing flat bench. The only way to get better at something is to do more of it
