I recently had this company come out to service my Nordictrack X11i and I can't say enough good things about them. Dan was awesome! He answered all of my questions and made sure the work he did was done well. I've had my machine serviced by several repair businesses, but yours was the best. Thanks so much!
Well thank you! I don’t normally use my escrima stick but it is what I had handy normally I use a broom stick. I like your videos! Korean system ? Check out some my Kung fu buddies on my channel celebrating Dr Wong or Cykfa family
Love your video! However, I have a NordicTrack commercial XS model, and it says in the users manual under “the pre-lubricated walking belt“. “Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with a high-performance lubricant.IMPORTANT: never applies silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear”. so, how do I lubricate my belt then?
@@Jethr001 well thank you!! But there are some no lube belts ? What year is your unit and is there any issues. If not I would not lube we sometimes sell no lube belts so I know they are out there
Very helpful vids, thanks! Just bot Dupont "surface safe" silicone spray to lube deck on my Proform 755 crosstrainer. I think it's the same as "food grade". Do you happen to know?
Boss. I just bought a 2022 Nordictrack Commercial 1750. It’s one year old and the previous owner rarely used it. Should I pay somebody to come out and do a full service. Add underneath the belt, lubricate Incline Motor and do a calibration and adjust the rollers properly.
Well that’s hard for me to say ! If I say you don’t need service and something happens I would feel bad. But in general if the unit is running well you should only need lube
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I decided to pay the guy the $125 and have him do a full service. Will also have him show me how to keep it lubed. Thank you
I just got my treadmill nordic trac treadmill back in order. It was not in use for a long time and had arizona dust under the belt, which was totally dry. I used silicon liquid so I hope it's alright. The belt is easy to move when it's off so that's good. Do I grease the motor?
Yep that’s good that it is easy to move smoothly belt probably ok . And no way should you lube motor with any thing. Depends on what style motor you have the only thing I could think of is blow it with air. Dave
Very helpful!! Thank you for sharing your expertise, this is exactly what I was hoping to learn. I'll definitely visit your site when I'm shopping to maintain my treadmill :)
I’ve got a NordicTrack 1000 (second hand) and the belt slows suddenly after the first week of using it. There is also a lot of hum from the console… Would this likely just mean a bolt tighten (maybe loosened from moving it) or is there anything I should look for under the hood? (Check the belt etc) I’m going to give it a lube, but wondering about other maintenance stuff (since there is NOTHING in the manual!)
Well most likely the slowing is due to a worn walk belt. The humming noise from console can only be from console. But most humming from this unit normally comes from motor area
How do you lubricate the incline gear & with what lubricant? Do you have any advice on treadmill squeaks when running? I have a "legacy" NordicTrack Elite 5100.
Well you don’t have to lube the incline gear you would have to take the motor apart to get to it . Maybe the screw shaft you could put the super lube 21030 grease good stuff . On squeak with Nordic Track this mostly comes from the pivot point under the hood were the lower frame meets the lift frame. I am sorry hard to explain and I don’t have a newer model to do video on
Hi, thanks for the video. But my NT C2000 manual says not to use lubricants, is that correct? I wanted to add lube to fix one issue, while walking sometimes the belt locks up and doesn't start again until I step off the treadmill. What can it be caused by? Thank you very much from Italy
Well the older units do say never to use lubricants because the manufacturer wants to sell walk belt. But almost all manufacturers sell lube. It is best to use the factory lube! I have factory lube on my website Fitnesspartspro.com If you use a can type use food grade it is thicker and better. But if your belt is worn out it will need to be replaced. I would need your Amps to be sure
I have a x32i Nordic track for 3 months. It’s got a bit squeaky, but the advice from Nordictrack is a it limited. They say a special lubricant coating is applied. I cannot tell, it’s all dry. Should I lubricate the belt?
I wouldn’t think squeak noise is coming the belt ! You can check under the walk belt it should have a slick feel .But I would check assembly bolts. And check the incline to frame bolts
@@tammimarie well there are some no lube belts. We sell one . So they are out there I don’t know what Nordic Track sells. The only way to see how they are wearing is by a amp test. But I would never put soap or water under the belt hopefully they mean on top !
Hi, nordictrack T5.7 . Manual says never apply silicone spray. Do I need to lube my threadmill? Is that okey if I use little slicone. Manual and google confuses me.
It’s always been a Issue it is best to use the factory lube there is a little more to it than silicone but the good can is ok ? I would make sure it is food grade. It comes out thicker and less aerosol spray
Do we know what the NordicTrack supplied lube is? Their maintenance page says "non silicone based lube" but then directs you to their $60 maintenance kit which is ridiculously overpriced. Alternatives could be teflon or petroleum based but I just don't know - pretty much every treadmill lube sold on Amazon is silicone based.
Well no petroleum based Teflon I am not sure. Should always be silicone-based they use a liquid wax silicone type and I never use the applicator just squirt the tube under the belt. And I think we have it for around 8$ . But if it is a older model the can I show is ok
I've also just looked here in England and was directed to NordicTrack's maintenance kit which is around £69. That is quite a price for 150ml of lube, a rag and a bit of cleaning spray! In this jurisdiction, the only other options to purchase their lube (i.e. the little "ICON" tube jobbies that I believe contain around 0.5oz/15ml) appear to be on ebay and are priced around £11 for one. Well, one can buy, say, 200ml of silicon-based Prounol treadmill lube on amazon for about the same price and with thousands of positive reviews... I'm going for the latter.
@@christophereverest4547 I have seen a lot of that lube on Amazon in the us seems ok the only way to judge it is how well it works! And does it lower the amp draw
I have a Nortictrak 1000 XL, and I am unable to apply the lubricant because there are 3 belt layers, and I do not know which bel to choose to add the lubricant 1) walking belt 2) transparent belt 3) cushion belt Can someone help?
I think it would go between the bottom of the walk belt. This is a very old system from what I can remember there is only one walk belt. It sits on a sheet of plastic that is padded under. But it’s been a while! You can send me a picture of the belts you are talking about maybe I can help better
