I notices that too but I assume it was staged for the video and as a rental it would be empty. Those sconces will probably be destroyed by the first renter though.

I stumbled across you guys today and I am HOOKED. Also I love the transparency with showing the spreadsheets with the expenses/timelines/etc. Sets you apart from other house flippers, where you have no idea where they're getting their numbers from.
The only detail I thought was awkward was the low hanging huge chandelier light fixture in the bedroom. If this is going to be an airbnb, then I guess it would work. But for long term renters, it limits what can be done in the space and they will probably be asked to have it taken down.
I liked the chandelier, the problem I had was the giant headboard put in front of the window! the same style of headboard but just shorter would have looked much less heavy and let more light in.
Thank you for removing those popcorn ceilings! That was the one thing I insisted on in our fixer. We are living in ours though. The smooth ceilings just make the whole house brighter and cleaner looking. I would never want anyone to pay to live with that!

With all the food shortages and things we've experienced with covid, being self-sustaining would be perfect but instead, so many people consider it impractical. Land is wealth baby!

When you are renting, and you put bold colors, it makes it hard if the renter has a totally different color scheme. I would use a more a basic color that would go with many color schemes. I doubt you would allow them to paint over what you just did. All in all, the house looked cute
I've found that concept to not be true. All my rentals have at least one bold color choice, and when folks swipe em up, that's one of the first things they mention.

Even if someone doesn’t want an underground gun range, that’s a great house and people can do whatever they want with the space including ignoring it and pretending it doesn’t exist. I dont see how that would be a turn off for buyers unless they try to charge more because of the gun range.

My family was limited to one bathroom for awhile, because our downstairs toilet wasn't working. When we had guests over it was up to 13 people, one bathroom was not enough fam. Also it's just more comfortable to have your own it's weird but it just is.

I love most of the reno. I only didn't like the low hanging lights especially above the bed. I think it would get in the way ;) haha. But if my bf sat at the end of the bed he might hit his head on it. Everything else looks great though.
Two items popped out at me. The kitchen shelves and countertop should have been extended to the door as the countertop area/shelving are minimal. Secondly, a small horizontal upper window in the bathroom over the tub could add some light in the bathroom and help eliminate moisture.
Love the colour of the cabinet in the kitchen and bathroom, stealing this idea! I'm a bit unsure about the position of the bed in the master, that giant headboard is blocking the window
I usually love everything you guys do but this time around, there were a couple things I would've done differently. I didn't like the ombre paint, I think all white would've looked better. And since you painted almost the entire front of the house white, the brick wall would've looked a lot better with white paint as well. What bothered me most was the master suite. That huge bed frame covering almost the entire window, the color of the accent wall making the room extra small, and that huge chandelier for such a small space, just no no no. The living room, bathroom, and kitchen I really liked.

This house and backyard was very cute. A great home for a young couple starting out. I actually liked the first home with the built in gun range. The main house was mostly cosmetic updating as well and that room was perfect as a pantry which I noticed the 2nd house didn't have. Generally we choose more durable materials for rentals. These countertops and quartz which in our opinion are the most durable stone. It’s got a faux marble pattern. They’re from Pacific Shore Stones.
I'm surprised that the past two episodes have been retained for rentals. What is the reasoning? And of course fantastic video editing and content! My house is white with green trim and beige accents. I REALLY want to change the trim to the dark grey and paint over the beige. Just gotta convince the hubby!

The staging is awesome! Do you always stage for a rental? I haven't seen that done before. The kitchen and bathroom turned out really bright and cheery. Good choice of colors. I wasn't so sure about the grey floors, but I think it works ok. I'm assuming they were very cost effective? One thing that didn't work for me was the black trim. For the small house, I think the stark color overpowered the whole aesthetic. Overall, great flip! Super inspiring for me and my husband. I'm super impressed with the quick turnaround! Someone is really going to enjoy this home.

What a treasure in that little shed! I've been looking for an old washboard for a long time, plus, the bell was marvelous! Lovely flip! Perfect. The ONLY thing I'd change is the green on cabinets to blue. Otherwise...spot on!! (And I do realize a lot of people love green!)

"We're just keeping it simple." Proceeds to buy ornamented chandelier, and sconces and colors in /her/ style.
And you couldn't put the bed in a different location because of the sconces and the chandelier.

You can buy cable concealers and then just paint them with the same wall paint you used so its more seamless instead of doing exposed wires.

Swap the light fixtures in the living room and master, LR has the ceiling height for the chandelier and the master would be beautiful with that fan

I will definitely watch another couple of videos...however, if they all have this many ads I won't be able to stick it out, sorry. I'm a longtime youtube watcher and I think out of all the different channels I watch this one had the most ads. I'll give a few more a shot though.

staging is great.... love the simple clean look. what's the purpose of staging a rental for potential tenants ? OR... did you stage for the video ?
It definitely helps it rent....but yeah we have a UA-cam video to film!

It's not sensitivity, it's just respect and no one wants unnecessary negativity. What if that was your moms house or the house you grew up in? It'd be funny if it was a few jokes here and there but its 24/7 and on every video. To each their own.... oh well.
Its called humor. I enjoy hearing the banter! Jfyi they were not making fun of the disable toilet, but the location in which it was found. I would much rather hear them speak freely than to hide. Humans are not meant to be 100% positive. That would be fake. Accept reality, they have fun with it and you shouldn't take it so seriously.
