Great video! I switched from palm rolling to interlocking and I love it. But now I need to know the deal with 2 point rotation vs 4 point. 😂 You can't just slip that in there. 😂
I’ll probably never interlock my locs, but I get why some people would benefit from this in the summer! Kinda reminds me of some Naturals that’ll wear their hair straight in the winter and curly in the summer. Thank you for sharing ❤🙏🏿!
Love you so much Queen and thw value you add to the world. Im 6 month's into my journey and I've interlocked twice...i usually locksmith with a cobo of palm roll. I love the fluffiness of my 132 locs but every so often I might throw and interlock session in.
That’s how I started out, doing the interlocking method I love it and my hair definitely been growing very fast I love it.. idk my locs are pretty “Juicy “ 😅I can speak for myself
Giiiiiiiiirl, I'm so glad you did a video about interlocking! I initially started with 2-strand twists to see if I was serious about locs. After that first wash, I was loose natural again and that was a big NO for me😂 Once I restarted with braidlocs, interlocking with a 2-point rotation has been my go-to method...
That first wash must have been a what in the world moment. I'm fortunate cause never had to band while washing and everything stayed the same. I also started with twist.
I had a lot of new growth that refused to loc with palm rolling after a few months so I am interlocking the new growth and will back to palm rolling next retwist cycle. Hope it does not change my volume
No edge control for me for all the reasons you stated. My nieces are in their early 20's and they started laying their edges now they are going bald on the sides.
I just switched back to interlocking after retwist for the last 3 years straight.. I started with braid type locs but went to someone else n they started palm rolling it so I just stuck with it but I haven’t got my hair did in month on moth so a lot of them merged together 😢 I didn’t mind it because it made them more personal but it did make them start to thin at the roots because I use to brush them and wore a lot of ponytails but anywho I just got my hair did n my stylist did interlocks 😊 I love it very sad that she cut some of them out to keep the parts the same but over all satisfied.. said it should last atleast 2 months 😊
I went from retwist to interlocking and I stay with interlocking method and I go to a professional to get it done every three months cuz my retwist wasn’t last long and I like to wash my hair frequently and it stays the same when it’s wash
IDK what to do with my hair anymore 😕 it grows away from my locs and if i do this now and then or braid the loose hair into the loc ill have these changes i dont want because i like them fluffy, soooo idk maybe its time to part ways and go back to my bald head 😮💨
What size locs do you have? I have smedium starters (around 115, 2-strand) and I haven’t seen many folks interlock only. I’m active (read: wild) and I know I’ll sweat retwists right out.
@@angelah8247 I don't know the size, sorry! I'm not technical about my hair so certain questions people ask I be like 🤷🏽♀️. In fact, I only counted them because a lady I was looking into charged by the loc amount and I counted 100. Hopefully that gives you an idea of my size.
Hi there, great video. I do have a question that you can probably best answer. I started my loc journey with traditional Loc extensions. Now I’m thinking of interlocking. The only issue is my hair have grown about 3-4 inches in the time that I have had the loc extensions in. Do you recommend for a smoother transition with interlocking, starting over? Or will it be ok to interlock with my current traditional Locs? Thanks in advance.
It’s hard to say because traditional locs range in sizing and your hair type/texture will matter. Join my community and we can talk in more detail with pictures and video: locgoalsclub.com
Im 2 months in my loc journey. started with the instant loc method. Ive been thinking abt interlocking temporarily but afraid to see my locs growing flat. Im all about the cylindrical shape.
Hello, just wondering if you ended up interlocking and what was the results. I’m 6-7 months in, I also started with instant loc method and use palm roll for retwist. I’m thinking about interlocking so I can wash my hair whenever I feel like it. Thank you!
You answered SO many questions I've been looking over the web for. Interlocking is definitely my best option. THANK YOU!

I’m listening to every word you say and I’m hearing you but I’m in love with your earrings. Can you share where you found them please?❤❤❤

Due to the fact that I sweat a lot, my retwists only lasted for about a week. All year round. I switched to interlocking which works for me.
do you wash or rinse your locs when you finish sweating, say after a workout or a hot day?
If u have interlock can u switch to rewost
This is the only video that answers my question!!! Thank you

that's why I never "lay my edges": I don't want traction alopecia
I used to palm roll but me and my daughter's hair grows away from the loc and mat together. Switched to interlocking all the time.

Would it be okay for me to do a 2 point rotation one time to get my loose hairs together than go back to semi-freeforming 🥺
My locs were started counterclockwise I'm considering interlocking then switching back to retwisting clockwise. Will that cause a problem?

Is the course for interlocking still available? I cannot find it
Is it possible to switch frm interlocking to comb twisting
I switched to interlocking full time, it lasts longer because I wash bi-weekly ❤

Great video! What type of tool were you using in the video( the pink handled hook)
Why 2-pt method instead of 4-pt?
Less tension...
Can you go from interlocking for years to retwisting?
What about switching from interlocking to palm-rolling? Is that a thing?
Same thing I would like to know
i literally caved in and interlocked my locs yesterday lol
So did I... a few days ago. 😅

Interlocking doesn’t make your locs grow flat
@@thedigitalloctician really cause usually when i see persons with traditional locs tht do interlock their locs usually have a flat appearance
@@bnm-g4k they may have started with braids and that will absolutely make that part flat.
@@thedigitalloctician thanks for that 👍

4point is bad? Oh no! Is it because it Condenses the loc??😮
Yes and too much tension which can cause alopecia
