@@GatorRay I think I read somewhere that Johnny, Matt, and Elliot do plan on finishing those unfinished LPs before officially ending SGB. Don't forget, the pandemic threw a serious wrench into their plans to end SGB in 2020.
@@smashmaster521 also Matt has been playing the games he said he'd play for the channel in the final arc, including SMT Nocturne and Persona Eternal Punishment and he know he is doing that because it's his favorite game bar none.

I'm not sure what it is about 3D World that makes Nintendo feel the need to publicly prototype their next game.
We got Captain Toad, and now we're getting whatever Bowser's Fury ends up becoming.

@Spaceman Alph I mean, Bowser's Fury is basically the love child of Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so it's not really a test run for a new type of Mario game.
I just hope it's not used for a new Mario & Luigi game. Mario RPGs are something that I feel should've died after Sticker Star crashed & burned.

@@cherylsanders5538 Because Mario RPGs have only been going downhill since Sticker Star came out (FOR THE MOST PART. I do think Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions is better than the original but even that has a tacked on new mode) Dream Team was bloated and while I haven't played Paper Jam it looks like the textbook definition of playing it safe. And DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE 3DS VERSION OF BOWSER'S INSIDE STORY! That was a downgrade in pretty much every regard IMHO.

i love how the plot of Bowser's Fury is that Jr. tried to play a prank on his dad while he was sleeping, but he used the Magic Paintbrush for that and it all went downhill
Personally, I think the cause of conflict was still a little too silly, but at least it was more believable than.Color Splash's. Seriously, Bowser splashes in a pool of rainbow paint like a child just because he wants a colorful shell.

Technically you can play every mainline Mario game up until Super Mario World in online multiplayer via Nintendo Switch Online.
The second I saw Mario turn into a Super Saiyan cat, Open Your Heart started playing in my head VERY loudly

Actually, you can ride Plessie with the Cat
I know i'm 3 years late on this but one change that 3D World+ Bowser's Fury makes is that collectibles are saved as soon as you pick them up, so that if you die after getting a Green Star, or the Stamp, you no longer have to try to recollect that item unless you get a game over or quit the level

I would love a 3D World sequel to be done by Toys For Bob (Crash 4 devs), heck regardless of developer, I’d love more Powerups to be added like the Ice Flower or an Electricity based powerup. Heck maybe stick to the world themes but play around with them like a level in the Grass world that takes place in a small forest, the underwater level being set in a lake, a desert world having an oasis level and a wild west level, the beach world having a pirate ship level and a harbor level, the mountain world having a snow level and waterfall level, etc.
Then they would make 100% completion an absolute nightmare

Between the trauma of Mario Sunshine and release of a new Ghouls and Goblins... well... the gaming world is definitely trying to trigger Johnny.
That said, it has me watching a ton of older videos.

Two things Johnny: One, getting all of the stamps in 3D World is a nightmare, even while playing with other people, and basically amounts to bragging rights (which I frequently abuse). Two, a good way to kill time while waiting for Fury Bowser is to grab the Special cat suit, hop on to one of the lighthouses and farm coins for powerups. It's not much but it helps.

Happy 10th Anniversary to the 3DS. Without that console, and the system seller that was Super Mario 3D Land , we'd never have 3D WORLD, or Bowser's Fury later down the road.
8:20 Someone's probbaly told you this already, but for the find a cat missions, you can actually take the baby cats on a ride with you on Plessie. When you hop off on an island, they'll automatically hop off, so you didn't need ride the iceberg. xD

Main gripe for me with Bowser's Fury is that Mario is the only playable character. I mean, they're already using 3D World's engine, might as well let us run around collecting Cat Shines as the other four too; playing as Luigi and Rosalina was one of my favorite aspects of the main game.

The part about the fury bowser required shines...I had already figured it out. So every time bowser was out, I made sure to get one of them. My last shine was looking for the kitten, so didn't really have the waiting problem
Why the fuck are you played shitty as fuck Mario if you have Doomguy as your PFP?
After spending around a week fully completing the game with everyone just for those shiny 5 stars, being on the switch actually benefits it since it’s so easy to pick up and load the game and knock out a few levels when you’re on the go or have a couple minutes to kill.
Man, I have never seen a Bowser that intimidating since Dark Bowser from Bowser's Inside Story or Dreamy Bowser from Dream Team.
Johnny didn't even mention the final showdown music. It sounds like something out of a Final Fantasy game. Something along the lines of "One-Winged Angel".

Honestly the Bowser's fury boss fight reminded me very much of Super Mario world 2 Yoshi's Island, where the Giant has some rocking tune.
