Was so blessed to see Ringo Starr in NYC 2022 - he sang this song - the audience was on its feet singing with him - some even weeping - a memory from so many years ago still alive today in the hearts of all of us who are fans in this world and the in the next - Love ya !!!!
I built my first spec house while this was on the air. I was 22 years old. With no money and a three man crew of me, I and myself, I really identified with this song. Thanks Ringo and RIP George.
You don't hear Ringo and George singing together at the same time anywhere else that I know of. I pay attention to these things, and it was super to hear them. They were obviously great friends.
This one was artificially made, but still sounds great! This song combines the official single release of Ringo, combined with the demo copy of the song that George recorded that same year.
I pay attention too..and I was a baby in the 60's and what I have noticed is like Bob Dylan said.... the times they are a'changin', and, oh brother, they have already changed and not for the better... So when you see and hear something beautiful as George and Ringo and you listen to it and it is timeless... appreciate the good times, cuz often, they're far and few between... Try to remember when the jugglers and the clowns all did tricks for you.. And then try to pass that to the children before you're dead and gone and ashes to ashes.....ya know 🦕😎➕ peace love and the grateful
I would be thankful if there were not any more of their songs used for capitalistic commercials like Nike... Michael Jackson and Apple and God knows how many more materialists have had their hands on their copyrights.
Damm love George Harrison wish he was still here to Make his music rock and roll like he use too , You are sorely missed , and I'm damm proud to have grown up listening to it , Rip in peace George Harrison ,
Oh yes..why had George to die so early....I think of?( cancer (?) And John was shot (cruel death too)...but Paul and Ringo are still alive and gave us a few weeks ago the new version of this song (and I think that George's voice was to hear, too...?) The video shows all four guys ... adorable!!!!❤❤❤❤
Yes it's so sad, that George had to die so early😧...but his music lives on...and he never will be forgotton...thanks people like you, me and many many others!🙏
@@susannekurz91742:03 yeah I was 16 years old the song was out there somebody on the night show called Linda I don't remember last name but I used to watch it I got my 66 s Impala
Didn't we love this one. We loved it on the school bus, the driver would play a small radio he kept up front on the way home from school 1972-80. RIP Mr. Paul LaValley. Korean War Veteran, Bus Driver.
There is no doubt that George and Ringo were more than best friends…..they were heart brothers and remained so! When speaking of George it is easy to see that he misses his treasured brother! They both learned the hard way to manage the nasty and cruel music industry. Which probably explains why George “gave” this treasured piece of music to Ringo.
Nothing comes easy brothers especially friendships. I wish I would have played more of George's music with The Beatles. But you know what happened there? Anyways, glad we've all god, everything and power to the people

After the Beatles broke up, critics said they weren't sure Harrison and Starr would do well on their own. Within the first year or two they outdid the others with successful songs. It Don't Come Easy was a big hit hear in Canada. Good song, and Ringo's vocals are perfect for the song.
Ho ascoltato questo pezzo nello spaccio della caserma Romagnoli a Padova, 41 Reggimento di Artiglieria , era novembre del1972, me ne sono innamorato e dopo 52 anni mi emoziona ancora, quando lo ascolto.
All the Beatles had hits after the Beatles broke up except Ringo. George wrote this song for Ringo. It became a big hit. After that Ringo had many hits.

Got to see a couple of these cats back some time ago. Yep they were that good folks- surely put a smile on my face to see some of the Beetles. Wow what an experience.
excelente trabajo !!! A little bizarre but I'm glad it was done. I always wondered if they'd, the men, would just be separated in a way because of these separate recordings.
Just love this. There is a version of George only singing this and absolutely loved that one too! This was written by George, right? Got into a discussion about this years ago when someone declared Ringo wrote it and I disagreed. Clarification please?
Good question. Officially Ringo has sole credit, but George is believed to have helped out in a substantial way. George's influence is all over it ("the future won't last, it will soon be your tomorrow" for example is pure George), and the fact he did a guide vocal is pretty telling as that is traditionally what the other Beatles did when they gave Ringo a song. It's possible George allowed Ringo to take full credit so that he would get all the song writing royalties.
They were friends till the end. Many, many times all 4 would have to share a single room. What really tried their friendship was when George had an affair with Maureen, Ringo’s first wife ❤️❤️❤️
George and Ringo were the soul of the Beetles back in the day. However their collaboration on this song is unprecedented ❤❤ Just love, love this !

A little love for Tom and Pete from Badfinger doing the gorgeous background vocals.

It's soooooooooo unfortunately that Society don't play songs like this ANYMORE.
Absolutely Awesome
This is Ringo's studio single release version, combined with George's demo version of the song. This splice was done quite well!
I noticed that and was thinking WTF it's both versions
Thank You for Clarifying and Explaining the background...
Most Appreciated!
Groovy!! Ty✌️
Do you really play a Dulcimer instrument? If so, how cool. 😀
Correct!
RIP MY BEAUTIFUL MUSICAN 🎉🎉🎉😂😂❤❤❤❤
IMPRESIONANTE muestra de lo que podría haber sido HARRISON & STARR, también pudimos apreciar algo de ellos en OCTOPUS GARDEN.
Clever up mixing of George's demo and Ringo's version!
Never heard this version - how amazing.
George sings the first verse before Ringo comes in on the second. (Good mix!)
What i love about music is the unexpected delight. Harrison and Starr
George was a good guitar player and a great song writer
George Harrison was a great man… and was the reason that Ringo had a career after the Beatles…! RIP George Harrison..!

George Harrison was Brilliant. John Lennon was Brilliant. Paul McCartney was Brilliant. Ringo Star kept the beat!
Beatle magic still in full effect here. It's rumored George wrote this for Ringo and gave it to him.

THIS IS I THINK A VERY GOOD VERSION
Some of the edits on this were a bit clunky - but what a cool idea! I enjoyed it👍☮️🎸
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT ! NEVER DID FOR ME! Doing Better Now!
Extremely Underrated Compilation!!! A different type of power separate from John and Paul…But still incredible!!
This is a great mix! I've never heard the demo version by George before!!
Hey Ringo ☮️♥️ How many unreleased in your undislosed bag? C'mon tell Paul❤❤❤

Officially, it’s credited to Starr with Harrison as producer, but it’s obviously a Harrisong and gifted to his buddy.
Like Badfinger George Harrison,s licks are all over this song.
Badfinger actually does the background vocals on the original . So Badfinger are all over Beatles solo recordings
2 cents right? 😊 I’ll pay my dues!
Amen 🙏

I love Ringo’s version better ! I’m used to hearing Ringo sing by himself in that song !
That was different, it`s like 3 version in 1 song.
Watch the concert for Bangladesh Ringo forgets the words but that didn’t really matter!
