Nice video. Just need an indicator stalk for the Model 3s. Can the buttons be set as D-P-R? I'd set P as long press for neutral. I'd definitely install an indicator stalk, but D-P-R, i would probably just use the screen, not like you need to change them while moving.
I give the same disclaimer for all accessories I install and review … Tesla will never give you an absolute guarantee that a third party product will not void your warranty so install at your own risk. However having said that I’ve never had Tesla ever question or mention any accessories that I’ve installed in my many years of ownership. Also I make sure I only install products that I can easily remove to return the car to “baseline”
@@LudicrousFeed thanks Tom, this was basically my thought as well. Since enhauto can do other spicy things like drift mode, I wonder if Tesla will ever make their cars phone home to rat out the owner.
Let's say I set regen to 50%, get out the car (go shopping or whatever), then return and drive off, will it still be at 50%? or will it set to any kind of default percentage?

Hi Tom, would love your honest opinion with the S3xy knob in regards to adjusting regen down. I’ve wanted a Tesla for a while now but the regen is just to strong for me and I’ve tried through borrow a friends car to get use to it but it’s not for me. Does the adjusting the regen down to 25% and zero actually make a difference in the Tesla would love your honest view as this could be the answer to finally getting a Tesla for me
@@LudicrousFeed hi Tom, just about to place an order for a new 3, just wanted to check so if you use S3xy knob and set regen to of or zero you definitely don’t feel any regen in the Tesla? Because it’s pretty aggressive so want to know it def has the capability to turn it off.
I’m not aware of any nag removal feature however I’ve seen users configure a “continuous autopilot” feature whereby after a lane change the car will auto re-enable AP if deemed safe to do ao
I just plug the commander into the rear CanBus port. The knob will plug into one of the USB C ports in the centre console (for Model Y and older Model 3)
Not that I can see in the app ... but as a customer/owner, that could be provided as feedback given many of the current features seen is a result of constructive consultation with customers
I just purchased a "Y" and while I think the car is incredible, I've been muttering to myself about the "ludicrous" lengths Tesla went to try to implement everything via 1 screen. The center screen's sole purpose was cost-cutting. IMO some functions would be great to access by a knob/dial./button. Coming from a BMW I'm used to using dials. and buttons because BMW's voice response was so darn slow it was annoying, and mechanical interfaces were faster. I'd like to be able to change things I use frequently, and Tesla's implementation of some things seems to me be totally counter to Tesla's safe car image, The left scroll button on the steering when can be "programmed to some extent, but Tesla's implementation was poorly executed. One of the things I found very useful while driving BMWs was being able t change driving modes with a slider. and step up the car's acceleration in anticipation of need. I have no issues with Tesla's "chill" mode when cruising around, but there are times that I think it's a lot safer to have faster response available even if it isn't required. Example: on-ramp merge to a highway comes to mind immediately. Tesla's cost-saving implementation using the left thumb wheel is clumsy at best. I have concerns over Tesla voiding a new car warranty, but this is what Tesla should have implemented or at least made available as an option. I'd order it now if I knew Tesla wouldn't use a mod like this to void the warranty. This product would make my life a lot easier., especially having a very dominant left hand My right hand was useful in controlling the throttle on planes and shifting manual transmissions, but not much more
The S3XY knob and buttons are fully customisable which make them a great companion for those who want quick access to controls that may be hidden amongst the infotainment screen settings. I’ve installed many accessories in the Teslas I’ve owned over the years and not once have they questioned them. Hope this helps 🙏
