I think a great product as a few buttons is quite handy

Bought mine on release day. Just received mine. Installing today!! I see in the comments the commander is the same install as the buttons commander but they should say that and even link the commander install video to this one so people don’t get confused.

I just installed mine. It is cool to have and how it looks. I hope there are more functions added later. The screen and location of the KNOB make it easy for something to fall onto the screen. I just use one of my Android round smartwatch screen protectors on it. Fits perfectly.

Thanks a lot for the video. One quick question- Autopilot smart action ( reactivating it once the lane was changed ) and Drift mode are available on the Sexy knob or they can be activated/ used independently, with out the knob or sexy buttons ( only the commander ).
Also is there any plan of revamping the “dashboard” interface of the app?

You can use those 2 features as well straight form the S3XY app. Yes, we will work on the current dashboard and make new styles as well in the future :)

Can the S3XY button and knob be installed at the same time? Do I need to install two separate commanders?
Do you guys have in mind better control of gear selection or signal lights for newest model 3?
i recently purchased one for my 2023 Tesla model 3 in the USA. for installation, should i use the front or rear method? what is the difference in terms of functionality and difficulties between the two methods?
Do I need my own Commader for the sexy knobs, or can I use an existing (Gen2) one with the knobs?

I would love to see someone create a replacement slide-in lid cover that is a touchscreen, as apposed to these snap-in panels. I did order one however, as it’s the nicest so far. If it cannot replace the slide-in cover, then maybe something that hinges up for access under.

I just received mine and installed it today! Question the climate controls don’t seem to sync with the Tesla display at all. Is there a way to fix this?
Is it possible to make any of these smart actions tilting the side mirrors a configurable amount when going into the reverse gear.
The original Tesla tilting of side mirrors are tilting way to much, so it would be cool with a macro / smart action where you could specify how many degrees it should tilt mirrors, and of course bring them back to original position when going forward again

I received the Sexy Knob!! Very superior quality and sturdy. However, it does not support all functions like the buttons? For example, tilt the mirror, turn on rear heated seats, etc. Available on button but not the knob, why?
Currently the slide door will leave the light on if the door doesn't close all the way in. Since the knob is in place therefore the slide door doesn't close all the way in. Does it mean the light is on all the time?

How will it be for the Highland? Do you have a video? As they removed one USB, and as apparently the second port does not work well on the knob, does it mean that we won't have any front USB available after the install? Thanks
Great question. For the highland, we will use the 12v socket at the front. So you will have your usb port free to use 😊
Hi, can I assign one of the buttons to Drive "gear"/mode? And can I assign something like "when I double click the knob itself, it change to drive mode?" Thanks in advance!
For now, you can assign a button to enter the gear shifting many, and by rotating the knob you will change from P to D to R. Later you will be able to customize it the way you like using it 😊
Will we be able to adjust the brightness of the ambient light strip with this knob? That would be very nice

I drilling will be required. We make all of our units easy to install. That is why they take some time.

The video you linked for the installation only shows the s3xy buttons install. The wire harnesses you show are not used, they look like pass throughs. Anyway is this is a stand alone control or are the s3xy buttons needed? I like the controller idea as a stand alone but if the buttons are needed not so much.
No need for the buttons. The installation if the Commander for the knob is the same as with the buttons 😊

Have you thought of making additional knob or lever for gear change? Because many people dislike the swipe to change gears on the new model 3.
This current knob can already do it 😊
This is really cool! I think my only feedback would be that it's maybe too close to the cup holders and i could see liquid damage being a real issue?

So with the 2nd USB port, I know you said it wouldn't fast charge with certain phones, but which ones? And does that mean it will charge other phones? And to clarify, your fix now is to shut the knob off meaning it won't work while charging phones, and not fast charge? Please explain.
A great question.
So, the second port will still charge, but up to 6W. If it detects that you have plugged in a device that is trying to charge faster, the knob’s screen will power off to stay protected from potential spike in current.
We do not know which phones will charge normally and which will not, since we have tested it only with those that we have on hand. You can’t sadly give it a try and if the goes off, that means you wount be able to charge and use the phone at the same time

I already have the s3xy buttons, is the commander for the s3xy button the same as the s3xy knob or does the knob have a newer version?
The Knob comes with gen2 Commander. So you will have to switch yours and use your buttons and Knob with the new one

I recently bought this product, i though have a question about setting cabin temperature. when I set temperature on knob, it does not reflects on tesla screen, I have tesla login in the app already. what is causing this problem or this is known issue?
Hi there. If you have properly logged into the Tesla cloud account via the S3XY app, then it will work in the following conditions:
1. For iOS device- the S3XY app needs to be opened in background or foreground
2. For Android devices - the S3XY app needs to be opened in foreground.
With the August update , there will be no need for the app to be opened. 🙂

Hi there. It does not. However, we always recommend removing any third party accessories before going for service. People have not had issues until now but you never know
Does the second USB C port on the Knob also turns off power when leaving and locking the car?
Yes. However, when your car falls asleep. So it might take a few minutes.
@@EnhanceAuto-S3XY_Gadgets would love an option to shut off with the door close. Would give us lots of options for interior lighting. Waiting for the car to sleep is not ideal.

Great question. At the moment, there are no benefits except aesthetics. However, the front installation gives us more control over certain features , which we will be slowly rolling out in 2024 😊
Can you change it from Celsius to Farrenheit - also can you configure to use one of the buttons for the backup camera?
Yes, after new update on the app. In the app, Setting -> Units -> turn on "Temperature in F"

Hi Guys, I have just installed my Knob, if I look at your website under the knob capabilities (see all features) I see 130 functions. But I can only change a few functions via the app. Maybe 25% of all functions are available for the knob. Home is this possible?
Yes , we are currently adding the rest of the features. All the winter features will be added with the next update. Then the rest

This product looks amazing. I noticed the 4 cutouts, 2 on each side of the knob. Will there be option to put SEXY buttons there?
The 4 cutouts are 4 buttons. When you press it , they execute an action

Can it just default to volume and do nothing else until you press a button?
You can program your dial itself to act like a button so you can put the volume setting on it. Then when you push it down, it can stay in that setting until you don’t exit it

You need to make the secondary port control/power a USB powered ambient lighting accessory. Like one that goes across the dash. Use the buttons to adjust colors and the knob to adjust brightness. That would be stellar! I want one just for controlling the wipers.
Oh shoot, allow it to control color and brightness of a light strip on top of what is already available via this tool and I'm all in.

Wait, wasn't the production and shipping halted to *fix* the second USB issue? This sounds like it was never fixed, just patched up via software to prevent damage?
If we had to fix it, we would need new motherboards , which usually take 3 months to make. So we had to “patch it” so you can still use it, but not for fast charging.
