I cannot believe we have made it to the end of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It's been over 140h and I am beyond sad to see it come to an end. In this episode we follow Aerith to the Forgotten Capitol to face off against Sephiroth in one last fight. This is the Ending of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth expect a lot of tears.

great news for the 3rd game. they said they are going past the ending of og FF7 and expanding on the story past it . in the ending of the original. cloud says he understands an answer from the planet that he can meet Aerith in the promised land. im so hoping we get to see this in 7RP3
We're definitely getting the "missing" scenes in part 3. They teased some of the water burial in part 1 - no way that gets cut entirely. They didn't show it here because there are shenanigans afoot!
Notice after Cloud blocks the attack - when it glitches, the sword changes angles (partially concealed with a camera pan). The new angle is one where the Seph clone would have stabbed it into the ground himself. And the blood that runs on the ground is coming from the sword's handle. Yet, Aerith is way off in the other direction.
And for just a few frames, we get a shot of the clone standing with blood pooling all around its feet, running toward where the blade was in the ground. That blood isn't Aerith's. It's the clone's.
Why? Jenova Lifeclinger Assess has the answer: summoning her requires black-robed sacrifice.
But why the trickery? Because Sephiroth needs Cloud's rage and despair to complete his confluence of worlds (Sephiroth Reborn's Assess). This was his new plot.
Aerith couldn't let that happen. So, she tugged Cloud into a world where he does actually save her.
How? Well, the Aerith in the lifestream gained this ability in part 1 after you kill the Arbiter of Fate. The first thing she does with it is save Zack by yanking him from his fate into a side world. She's then able to use his power to help fight Sephiroth Reborn. There's dialogue about a "wind" that the characters felt when they were pulled through worlds, which is shown to us several times in this section of the game, culminating when the lifestream Aerith arrives in the final battle and full heals you, as she had the others before repeatedly.
Thing is, the Aerith we knew did in fact die as per usual. The other characters know this. Things are going to get dark.
Another wrinkle: in the ending, Aerith is not affected by the big puff that comes out from the Tiny Bronco. But then in the very end, she's affected by its propellers. We're seeing two different Aerith entities in this segment of the game.
What does it all mean? I'm not sure. But, the devs gave us two huge clues.
First, Zack is still around, probably in the prime world, and is a developed character with his own mechanics. So we'll probably see him again as a part 3 party member.
And Aerith? Well, there's no Great Gospel or Princess Guard in this game. And there's no universe in which this game gets remade with those things missing.
So get ready for Zack and Aerith to be playable in part 3. Probably in the same party at least once.
It's going to be a wild ride!

I'm not sure if you've read it, but there is a great theory on the white and black materia on reddit which has some very solid points on what is going on and actually kinda ties into your point of Aerith tugging Cloud into a world where he does save her.
I also think that Tifa thinks Cloud killed Aerith since she has had an experience where he almost killed her, so I think the life stream sequence in Part 3 instead of having that big surprise of what truly happened in Nibelheim, we will have a moment of what truly happend with Aerith.

You literally finished that phase of sephiroth with a synergy ability, followed immediately by a limit by both zack AND cloud. Most people don't even get to experience zacks limit break, but you got that, the synergy, AND clouds limit all at the same time. That was truly epic.

No lie. When I saw cloud stop "the thing" from happening, I paused the game and freaked out. I was like "27 years and they changed it!" For like twenty minutes. Then I unpaused. Confused and deflated the crud out of me after that victory lap 😂.
It was super cruel of them!! Everytime I watch that final scene back before the fight, it's more clearer to see what is real and what is not, but dayum they tricked us good!

i got into final fantasy by playing rebirth first 🤣and boy the ending got me too. And now we have to wait 3-4 years to play the last part.

@@r3bel383 this is gonna sound weird, but I saw a clip where they are on the beach and the hype about the game made me play it. And yes there was alot of confusion until i played the remake + the dlc for yuffie and it all make sense in rebirth. And then i started Crisis core, so i have been playing in reverse order 🤣
@Legendary-Gamer1337 nah that doesn't sound weird at all, if I may I would also suggest to play the original FF7. It really serves as the skeleton of this remake trilogy. And as somebody who wanted to play ff7 after the demo and had never played any ff game I get it. Glad your playing

Impossible to have one favorite part - I didn't 100% it but when I finally beat the main story, I had over 170 hours in my playthrough. Mostly nostalgic site-seeing. I was alive for the launch of the NES and everything since, and I can say Rebirth is in the top 3 of greatest rpg's I've ever played.
I was replaying the OG alongside playing Rebirth so I can relate to the sight-seeing a lot. It was sooo beautiful and had to be taken all in. What are your other Top 2 RPG's?

The truth is, I was very surprised, like my mouth was open, but you are not the only person, you are surprised because there are many people like gamers, men and women, who were surprised because Cloud saved Aerith's life, but that is not the case because Cloud continues to suffer for Mako, remember what Zack said... Cloud is very sick because of Mako so Zack must go look for Dr. Hojo but we still don't know where he is 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ then we saw Aerith's death I cried too much 😭😭😭 What happens is that Cloud cries for the loss of his friend Aerith ❤️😭 but Cloud sees Aerith as if she were alive but she is not because Cloud does not want to feel too guilty or feel weak that is why he wants Aerith to stay alive to be strong so we have We have to respect cloud and not question it 😢😢 It was the best reaction, Zack and Cloud together, the battle against Sephiroth was incredible and crazy like the biggest bomb in the world 🎉🎉🎉🤯🤯🤯 Well, it was incredible, the battles against Sephiroth were crazy 🤯🎉 and the battle ended but not yet because the future will be final is final fantasy 7 part 3 🙀🙀 Well, Rufus realized that Glenn is fake because he was Sephiroth to manipulate the president with the war between Shinra and Wutai... at the end we see the water that part final memory fantsay 7 original Cloud leaves it there Aerith like the funeral 😭❤️ Well, Cloud sees Aerith so he wants her to stay alive but for me it is not like that, only Aerith is a ghost as a Cetra spirit Tifa knows that Cloud is sick like a mako disease that she can't cure him 😢😢 and now Cloud has the black matter it is impossible, I thought Sephiroth had it 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ the truth is I don't understand anything This is how we say goodbye to our heroine and Queen 😢😭❤️ goodbye Aerith, you are the best, funniest, nicest, funny, affectionate and very beautiful person 😍❤️ and you also always worry about your teams, such as Aerith always worries about Cloud about Mako She is our girl and we will never forget her 😭❤️ we will do justice so that Sephiroth falls In the end listening to music I cried too much 😭😭😭😭 well thanks for enjoying the ending of this game a very beautiful adventure, fun and a lot of love ❤️❤️ thanks for enjoying this game ❤️
